For years we had occassional sewer gas odors in our guest bathroom. For the longest time, we blamed it on my mother (Sorry, Mom!). After she left and it continued to get worse, we had 3 different plumbers come out at various times and each had their idea of what the issue might be. They all suggested a smoke test as a way of trying to figure it out. All suggested cleaning up the crawl space which we did (another Angie's List success story). Because of their rating on Angie's List, we called Roby's. Within minutes after arriving and hearing the story then evaluating the situation, Dave had come up with what turned out to be the correct solution. He suggested re-setting the toilet. As it turned out, we had wanted to replace that toilet and another one, so we had him complete that work. Dave seemed shocked that no other plumber had suggested this as it seemed obvious to him. We have had zero sewer gas problems since. Dave seemed very knowledgable and professional. Roby's will be getting all of our plumbing business from now on.

Called in the morning to have a basement drain cleaned. They were out there that afternoon. Dave was very friendly and informative and even had some advice on how to prevent the clog in the future. Keep in mind that their arrival time is approximate - but pretty accurate.

Excellent service. Better price than others and was very punctual.

We initially called with hot water pressure problems assuming that we needed a new water heater and were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Within 5 minutes of the tech looking at the water heater, he found that the output value was clogged with hard water scale and replaced it fixing the problem. Since he repaired it so quickly, he fixed our leaky kitchen faucet while he was here saving me the time and effort of doing it myself (and for only $38!). When the water heater finally does die, we'll call Roby's to replace it.

I called them on the Friday before Christmas. He took all the information and asked if I would be home that day. I said I would be and he told me he'd have someone right out. We were here all day and no one came or called to let us know they would not be coming. I called that evening at around 4:30 and the office had already closed so I got an answering machine. They showed up the next Wednesday when another company was here doing the work already.

It was an emergency so we had no idea on the price. We would use them again.

I give them straight A's. They came when they said they would; did the job and did not try to add on anything so we were very happy with them. I will use them again in the future.

I didn’t go with them because there was other work that needed to be done before they could do their work. They were very responsive. They were punctual. They were right there when they said they would be. They were very good on professionalism. Their quote was pretty high, but the work that I thought that had to be done was more than I expected to be done. I guess their quote was fair for the market. They gave me a price sheet. It wasn’t some kind of guess work and they had a book with them in which they had different pricing that they charge for things. I just had to have some other remodeling done I guess before they could do their work. They were knowledgeable. I will use their services again in the future for a quote.

My husband and I discovered a leak over our well tank in the late morning. We called Roby's plumbing and they said some one would call before they came. Rob the plumber, did a great job.

Great. Plumber was knowledgeable/professional, provide a quote and time and complete the work at that price and within the specified time limit.

My bathroom sink had multiple issues. Plumber was on time , wore booties, fixed everything and didn't leave a mess. Perfect. Next time i have an issue i will call Roby's Thanks for the referral. Paula Hoover

While I was initially concerned because they wouldn't provide an estimate over the phone like other companies, they offered a free visit to assess and give an estimate. Rick arrived on time and helped sort through several different options, ultimately suggesting the approach of putting two water heaters in parallel service to supply the entire home. He outlined the pros/cons and costs with each option, and didn't pressure us for any particular choice. His estimate visit was Monday afternoon and he returned Tuesday morning to complete the work. He was prompt, called when he was on the way, protected carpets and other areas of our home during the work, and was very professional. The job was completed on time and at the quoted price. So far there have been no issues with the work.

Roby's arrived asap after our call, we had been mopping up water with towels and seeing no end to the 'flood'. Their response was appreciated, and the replacement water heater was installed after a professional assessment of the problem and an estimate given. They worked quickly once on site and without drama.

I woke up one morning to a painful cold shower and a broken water heater. I called Roby in the morning and had an appointment that same afternoon to have it looked at. The service provider tried a few times to get the old water heater working, but to no avail. We then discussed options on a new water heater and pricing. He called in the order and I had a new water heater that very afternoon. No more cold showers!

I called Roby's to have someone come look at my sump pump that I had noticed was not working properly. He arrived on time and explained my options. I decided to go ahead and replace both sump pumps. I also had him look at the pipe that comes out of the house where the sump pumps drain. He repaired the pipe coming out. He also replaced a shower head in one of my bathrooms. He was punctual in arriving at my house and was very professional.

My water heater was leaking. I called them and they came out within 2-3 hours after I called. They looked at it and decided that it needed to be replaced. I had other companies tell me the same thing as well. They were able to replace it that same day, and they cleaned up very nicely.

My electric water heater has two heating elements, one of the two was broken, causing frequent tripping of the circuit breaker. This is a problem (and symptom) we've seen in the past and knew what to expect. Scheduled an appointment, almost no waiting required (next day, I believe). Technician was punctual, courteous, efficient and professional--he found a slightly larger problem than expected but had no trouble tackling the problem, replacing the heating element and returning the heater to normal working order. Including an Angie's List coupon, the charge was quite reasonable, and lower than our previous plumber charged last time. I am very satisfied with Roby's and have no doubt I will call them again next time there's a plumbing problem here.

I called Roby's in the morning on Monday, and Rob was at our house within a matter of hours. He was courteous and professional, and proceeded to snake the laundry sink drain immediately. He was sure to keep things clean while he was working, and took the time to wipe everything up and make sure things were neat when he was finished. I also asked about re-routing the dishwasher drain while he was there, which wasn't the main issue but had been bothering us for some time. He said that it shouldn't be a problem, and easily took care of that for us. The flat rate for snaking our drain was very reasonable, and he quickly took care of the dishwasher such that our overall cost was lower than expected. I was also impressed with how he dealt with my dog, who is fairly high-energy and curious about vistors. He was extremely careful to close any doors behind him so that she couldn't follow him downstairs or outside, which is a concern for us when contractors visit. I'd definitely use Roby's again, and also wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

The installer called ahead of time to notify time of arrival. Was punctual. Very professional in his knowledge and was able to do the work effortlessly. The old water shut-off valve to the house was not working properly and we asked him to replace it. He suggested adding an additional valve that was not in the wall to shut off the water. He placed another valve just below the current one that is easier to use and has better access. This was not only time saving, but also cost saving and we appreciated his efforts in being honest.

They were reasonably priced and did a good job.

Wow!!! This is a very impressive company. We had discovered a leak from our water heater. Called Roby's based on review of Angie's List site on internet. They sent out a service person within 2 hours of us calling. Rob Haley was outstanding. He examined our unit and provide us with our options. He explained full what was going on with our old water heater. He was very candid that we were not in an immediate danger but that it couldn't be predicted when the leak could increase as some of the significant seals had been breached in our old water heater. We made the decision to move forward and Rob made some calls and made it possible to have our unit replaced yet that afternoon. Between the time that we initially called and when the work was completed was a total of 4 hours. What a relief. I happened to have the day off and therefore it was so valuable to have the work done that day so that I wouldn't have to miss any other time from work. This is a great company. We are getting up in years and have dealt with a lot of service providers. These folks are outstanding and heads above others with whom we have dealt. They are now our go to for any plumbing issues or upgrades we may have in the future. Additional kudos to Rob Haley. He is great!!!

It went fantastic!! I have never had to call a plumber before, so having such a wonderful experience the first time made the cost and having plumbing issues not so bad.. The service man (Dave) was very friendly and explained everything he had to do. He also made some recommendation to avoid future incidents.
