Called to make an appointment and service agent refused to come out to the service address requested. It clearly states that they service Indianapolis Marion county.

Kitchen sink backed up. Called Roby. Rob came within hour. Fixed the problem and left. Great service.

A basement drain was clogged in our house for the first time since we moved here > 5 years ago. Our ground floor A/C unit sends excess water into this drain so we had some minor flooding in the basement. There was no trap or other way to access the drain since the below-ground pipes in our basement are encased in concrete (we live in a 1920s home in the Meridian Kessler neighborhood of Indianapolis). I found Roby's on Angie's List and called them around 8:30 am on a weekday morning. Dave, a master plumber from Roby's, was at our house within an hour. Dave quickly diagnosed the problem and gave an on-the-spot price for the job. I replied that the price was fine and Dave proceeded to snake the drain with a power tool and a brush that was just the right size. This was a tricky maneuver that involved blindly navigating a U-trap in the small, confined drainpipe. After clearing the drain, Dave tested it and even though it now functioned Dave was not satisfied with the rate at which it drained a full bucket of water. Accordingly, he snaked the drain again with a slightly larger brush and this time the drain worked extremely well - probably better than it had worked in decades. I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied - my problem was quickly and completely solved for less than I had expected to pay.

On first visit we discovered the faucet was defective. Roby's master-plumer, Dave, called the manufacturer and worked out what needed to be done. The manufacturer shipped a new faucet at no charge. Dave then returned and installed it. There were no defects in the disposer. Now everything is working as it should.

I ended up using Roby and was very pleased with their honesty and skill. Dave was our plumber and he was very efficient and neat and was very good at explaining how things actually work! We will be calling Roby from now on.

Everything went great, these guys are awesome and will use again.

Was disappointed that itr had to be replaced, but needed one we could rely upon before it really gave way and flooded our basement.

Dave called before he came and was on time. He diagnosed the problem and had the clog removed within 45 minutes since he had to use the stack on the roof. He was polite and cleaned up under the sinks. I will be using this company again.

They were wonderful, and responded very promptly. They took a look at the situation, told me that nothing needed to be done, and then they left. They didn’t charge me anything for the visit. I would definitely use them again, if necessary.

Rick is great. Friendly, professional and a hard worker. He had come out for a quote earlier in the week, told me what to buy and where to buy it and then installed it all. You can't go wrong here. Just a friendly company (from the person who answers the phone to the plumber that comes out) that is easy to do business with. There prices seem good but I won't say it was a GREAT DEAL. However I will say the service and people are GREAT and so if it cost me $50 more than someone else it was worth it (not saying it did). I have already asked them to come out again.

The experience was very good, we used them before, they were friendly, we got a quote from them for more, but, my husband did some of it, they were fine, and did just what we asked. We are going to use them again, soon.

We had never used Roby's before so it was our first contact with them. A serviceman came within 2 hours of our call. He was knowledgeable and professional. He explained the problem and the faulty part. He removed the faulty part, left to get the correct part, returned promptly.He needed to replace a piece of the water line as well. The entire process took approximately 4.5 hours.

My wife told me to get on Angie's list and hire a plumber to get the work done on the kitchen sink. Roby's plumbing had an A rating and a $20 off coupon as well so I called them. I talked to John on the phone and he said he could get a man out to our house the same day. The job took about 75 to 90 minutes and it would have taken me all day to complete. In addition, the technician found that the drain line was no longer cemented together where it went into the wall and fixed it at no extra charge. Happy wife, happy life!

Fast response to email - Service that morning - Very professional. I forgot to use coupon, but did receive a note of thanks with coupons.

I woke up to a clogged outdoor sewer line on Friday morning. I called my regular plumber and someone he recommended but nobody could come out until Monday or Tuesday. Checked Angie's List and found Roby's had very high ratings. They were able to come out within an hour of my phone call. Rob ran the line 70 feet out to the street which seemed to unclog the line. However, he decided to run a larger cutter one more time. When he pulled the line back in, he found a large ball of roots that he cut through. My guess is without the second attempt, the sewer would have probably backed up again in a short amount of time. That extra effort he made probably saved me from having another back up and another call. I will definitely use Roby's again.

Our water heater began leaking on a Saturday morning. Based on positive Angie's List reviews we called Roby's and they quoted a price and advised that we could have a water pressure issue since this was our second water heater in four years. I didn't sense that they were trying to sell us anything extra but rather prevent future problems. Their pricing was reasonable and they had someone here within 45 minutes, the installation only took about 2 hours. They did a great job and were ready to help on a Saturday without charging excessive weekend fees. I would certainly use them again.

On November 15, 2011 Roby employee who I remember to be "Dave" came to my home in response to my earlier phone call answered by Roby employee I remember to be "John". I explained to John that my 7-year old water softener had begun as much as a year ago to regenerate seemingly randomly and often back-to-back. At that time I had read the owner's manual and had determined that there was a way to "override" the original sensing system (it originally "read" the salt level through a metering system and regenerated at the appropriate time). I was able to program a certain number of days to pass (which I chose randomly) between each regeneration. I explained that we had successfully been receiving softened water from the unit, but that we were concerned that we were wasting a lot of salt in this way and would like the unit to operate as it had originally. I further offered the lay opinion that it might be the timer that was at fault. Dave arrived on time, was friendly and professional in demeanor. I repeated the story to Dave and after 35 minutes of discussion and viewing various timers of different designs it occurred to me that Dave didn't have a clue about how to fix my unit. He at no time tried to actuate a regeneration or experiment with the controls of the unit and spent almost no time looking it over. Although as yet Dave had not directly admitted he did not know how to fix the unit he finally told me he thought I'd be just as well off to extend the number of days between regeneration and not go back to the original way of operation. I replied, " Well, OK, can you figure the number of days that should elapse between regenerations" He pulled out a packet of tables and a calculator and established a number. I said, "Great, so you'll program the right number of days before you go?" "Oh, no", he said, "I don't know anything about your unit. I've never seen one like this in my life...don't you know how to program it?" It would seem that Dave was stunned that I was actually expecting him to do something while he was there. "Well", I managed, "It has been more than a year, but I guess I can re-read the owner's manual and figure out how to do it since you do not ." I then asked, "How much do I owe you today?" "Nothing", he responded. "I can tell you're irritated." Yikes. As soon as Dave left I called the Service Manager, whose name I remember to be "Larry". I gave him my name and he immediately said, "Dave just called me and he says there's absolutely nothing wrong with your water softener". Double yikes. I started to explain my experience but he interrupted, "Well, every once in a while we get someone like you....you'd probably better find somebody else".....I'm way ahead of you, Larry. Shortly after this Dave called. "I got to thinkin'", he began, " I think maybe the metering system is bad on your unit, ....but I don't know how to fix that, either". The complaint could be that I was never told Roby does not service what they do not sell. It could be that they do not. The complaint could be that I cleared my calendar so the softener could be repaired and yet it was not. The complaint could be that Dave wasted more than a half hour before admitting he knew absolutely nothing about how to fix my unit. That is also true. My complaint is not that I paid for something I did not receive -- I paid nothing and received nothing...except I LOST valuable time. My complaint is in the rude and dismissive response I received during the followup phone call I made to Larry. How much more pleasant it would have been to hear something like, "We were just as disappointed as you that we were unable to fix your water softener. Sometimes we encounter brands or types we cannot service. I'm sorry you cleared your calendar and I apologize for the perception you developed that we are unconcerned about the way our customers and potential customers are treated. We will definitely bring this up at our next service meeting and make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again"......etc. Take a few notes, Larry. By the way, I did take another 60 minutes, reread the manual and, after some experimentation, successfully engaged the override with the extended number of days. We may indeed someday soon need a replacement water softener, but when that happens this "someone like you" will not be turning to Roby.

My water heater had reached 9 years old, and I was beginning to notice hot water issues. Because it was installed with no drain pan whatsoever, I decided to be preemptive and contact Roby's about a new system (based on their excellent Angies List rating). They came out almost immediately and provided me with a quote which was lower than the other 2 quotes I received. I waited a few days before calling them back to proceed, which I should not have done, because at that point I had a bit of water in my floor from the water heater. I called them on Friday morning, and they came out to do the install THAT AFTERNOON!! Kevin did a great job of removing the old unit and installing the new one. He installed a drain pan to route any future water away from the bottom of the unit, and piped the drain pan to the garage so any water collected would drain out of the house. He also did the same for the popoff valve on the unit, as well as remove some extraneous pipes present in the installation area. Kevin was very efficient and thorough in his work, and I am completely pleased with the service and the results. The cost was exactly the amount provided in the estimate. I will definitely use Roby's for future plumbing needs, and highly recommend them to others.

Roby's Plumbing INC did the original plumbing on my house. I have always been very satisfied with there work so I always go back to them. I have been using them for 13 years now and when they fix something for me its fixed.

Called in to have drain cleaned, company came out same day, left the door unlocked for them and they cleaned it.

They did a good job. They are good plumbers. We have used them a few times now, and we really enjoy their service.

I called in for service for service at 7:30 a.m. and the plumber arrived on time at 8:30 a.m. on the the same day as promised. We feared the worse because water was all over the basement carpet.. Honest dependable service, plus reasonably price. Thank you Roby Plumbing>
