I am very happy with quik cut - the start to our relationship was rocky because I screwed up - I had an emergency lawn problem because my mower had died and I hadn't gotten around to getting it fixed or getting a new one. my lawn got in major bad shape - very long - very weedy and I needed someone in a hurry. I called up quik cut and he agreed to come out to my house as soon as I was available. and then the screw up was that I wasn't home when he got there - I had another emergency (isn't that the life!!) and so I missed him! I was frantic because I had to get my lawn mowed or i'd be in trouble with the city - so I called him back and apologized and he came right over and took care of my lawn. it was wonderful. they did a great job - I've had them do my lawn a couple more times (having trouble getting my mower act together) and they also put weed and feed down for me. I really like them and will continue to have them help me with my yard.

But during the first mowing the mower guy said his trimmer broke and he would have to come back later to fix it. He never did return.
The second mowing was very poor quality - the grass was of varying length and there were small spots all over the place that looked like they were missed. (It appeared to us that the blade was not sharp.) And the mower left before my parents could view his work.
So we had what we consider 2 incomplete jobs completed.
Throughout our work with Quik Cutt, it was very difficult to contact them, particularly after we agreed on the work to be done. I would leave voice mails on their phone numbers but would almost never get a call back. We never knew if or when they were going to come mow the lawn - they just showed up. The only time communication was ever good was when I informed them (through Angie's List) that we were not going to work with them anymore - then they got back to me right away making excuses, and eventually demanding fully payment for 2 mows. I thought he was joking, but agreed to pay for 1 mow since they did come out to do some work. I was then threatened with late fees if I didn't pay immediately, even though we never received any invoice from them.
To his credit, Theron did ask what the quality problem with the second mow was - I think he did want to try to understand the problem and improve his service.
This was a terrible experience and embarrassing for me, who was trying to purchase a gift for my parents. It was a hassle for my parents to deal with too, as they had to find someone else to mow their lawn on short notice. It looks like most of this company's work is good but I still thought it important to let this group know how poor my experience was.
