PETTICOAT JUNCTION PET GROOMING

On December 28th or 29th (yes I am still dealing with this) I took my dog there to be groomed for 1st time. I tell them DO NOT CUT HIM CLOSE. The person tells me their clipper size and how low it cuts. We discuss his hair, which by the way is thin and the groomer says if there is any matting we may have to cut the matting out. I was not worried about that because he was not matted. I am learning that some groomers don't want to comb and brush they simply want to cut because they are lazy. When I pick him up he looks hairless, so much so that my neighbor called to tell me she saw him outside and not to do that again. The groomers razor had pretty much burned his body. What came next was bumps and pus sores. I show the groomer, she swears that it is impossible for them to have done that and that they will not be paying vet bills. I let them know I would take him to the vet and if the vet said it came as a result of grooming I would let her know. I take him to Faces Animal Clinic (much less expensive) to get a diagnosis and treatment... demonstrating to the groomers I am not trying to get rich off of them, The vet's Assessment/Diagnosis is Hot Spot (moist dermatitis) from getting groomed to close. The Vet says the clippers were hot and burned his skin in multiple places. He has over 15 pus sores on his body and burned, darkened skin under his arm and down his side...its horrific. I go back to the groomer and the female owner insists they could not have done it. Long story short, $153 and another vet later I take my dog to show them in person how he needs more care, the husband picks up the phone to call the police on me. The wife has to calm him down. Tthe woman says we have insurance, but we are not going to pay for his care. A smart groomer would've said, we will pay the $153.00 and our insurance will take it from here. So here is my recommendation, if you take your pet there and something goes wrong, just head for court which is where I am headed next...

Our toy poodle only knows Petticoat for grooming. She's very at ease there.

They’re very friendly and professional.  They really love animals and so they get along well with all their clients.

This place is great!! I just moved to Indy and needed a place to get my dog's anal glands drained as it's hard to find places, and I'm so glad I found it!! They only charged $5 for each service which is great! All I had to do is call and say I was coming by sometime that day, I didn't need to make an appointment. The man and woman working there were both very nice, and they even gave my dog a little bandana! They also have a self dog washing stations! I will definitely be using them again and would highly recommend them!

They seem to be getting a little more expensive lately. Our experience has been good with them. They are very good with our dog. We have used them for several years. They are extremely friendly. We are currently looking for another groomer that is less expensive, but they do great work.

They are convenient and friendly. I would take my precious Judy girl there again.
