The plumber, Keith was very profession, very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and worked quickly and unobtrusively. I would highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: Repaired broken plumbing in two toilets, and checked all bathrooms. Also investigated water pressure problem and identified that it was a bad water heater.

THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME THE SECOND TIME THEY CAME. I REALLY LIKE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH AND ALWAYS ANXIOUS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. JOB 2: I NEEDED A PART THAT HE HAD TO GO OUT AND LOOK FOR. I DON'T LIVE TOO FAR FROM THEM SO THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME A TRIP FEE. HE WAS VERY NICE MAN.

sewer cleaning
 + -1 moreThey came promptly, but after 3-4 hours of digging and grinding in an attempt to install an outside access to the sewer (for cleaning,) they told me I would need to install a new sewer from the house to the street. They charged me over $700 and accomplished nothing. But the worst part was they said they have a contractor they work with to install sewers and they would talk to him that night and have him call me the next day. They did not leave his phone number. It has been three weeks and I have never heard from him although they said the sewer would need to be replaced soon. I had Paul E. Smith Plumbing come and replace the sewer last week. It was done in one day and was reasonably priced. I will not call Metzler again for anything.
Description of Work: Attempted to clear sewer pipe out to street, as it was clogged with tree limbs and crumbled clay.

 + -1 moreMetzler Plumbing arrived when they said they would, gave me up front pricing, and the problem was fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Metzler may be a bit more expensive but if you don't like the proposal you can pay them the $30 trip charge and find someone else.
Description of Work: Located Leak from upstairs bathroom. Reset toilet and adjusted flange so that it was level with the floor tile instead of below.

I CALLED IN THE AFTERNOON TO SEE IF THEY WERE ABLE TO COME THAT DAY TO HOOK UP A DISHWASHER THAT WE BOUGHT AT A HOME IMPROVEMENT STORE, WHEN THEIR INSTALLERS SAID WE NEEDED A PLUMBER. RUSS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL AND SAID HE COULD GET SOMEONE OUT IN A FEW HOURS, HOWEVER, I HAD TO RESCHEDULE DUE TO NEEDING TO LEAVE BEFORE THEY WOULD ARRIVE. THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY AT A CONVENIENT TIME. JOHN, THE PLUMBER, WAS VERY FRIENDLY --- ALSO VERY CLEAN AND RESPECTFUL OF NOT TRACKING IN DIRT (WORE BOOTIES, LAID OUT A ''CARPET'' WHERE HE WORKED). AFTER LOOKING AT THE PLUMBING TO THE DISHWASHER, HE SAID THAT HE SAW NO REASON WHY THE INSTALLERS WEREN'T ABLE TO CONNECT IT THEMSELVES, AND THE ESTIMATE HE PROVIDED WAS OVER $300 (ALSO OVER $300 ESTIMATE TO REPLACE A FAUCET) -- WE WERE GOING TO HAVE A PLUMBER COME OUT TO LOOK AT SOME PIPES UNDER THE SINK(WHICH WERE CORRODED), SO WE HAD THEM PERFORM THAT WORK ALONE.

GEORGE, THE TECHNICIAN, TOOK A LOOK AT THE PROBLEM AND THOUGHT THAT THE PRIMARY PUMP WOULD PROBABLY WORK, IT WAS JUST THE SWITCH THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. HE GAVE US A COUPLE OPTIONS - REPLACE THE SUMP ENTIRELY AT A COST OF ABOUT $400 OR TRY JUST REPLACING THE SWITCH FOR $122 AND SEE IF THAT WORKS. WE DECIDED ON THE LESS EXPENSIVE OPTION AND IT WORKED. OUR PRIMARY SUMP PUMP HAS BEEN WORKING FINE AND OUR BACK UP HASN'T COME ON SINCE. WE HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH METZLER. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND TAKE TIME TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS.

 + -1 moreDAVE, THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN, WAS VERY NICE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE HAD HIM OUT TO TEST THE HOT WATER HEATER BECAUSE WE FELT IT WASN'T WORKING PROPERLY. HE TESTED THE HOT WATER HEATER AND DETERMINED IT WAS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. HE EXPLAINED TO US HOW TO MAINTAIN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE HOT WATER HEATER. HE ALSO GAVE US A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR UPGRADING OUR HOT WATER HEATER SINCE WE WERE UNHAPPY WITH IT. AT THIS TIME WE HAVE NOT PURSUED UPGRADING, BUT IF WE DID WE WOULD CERTAINLY CALL METZLER.
Description of Work: HAD A DRAWL DOWN TEST ON THE HOT WATER HEATER TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH HOT WATER WAS AVAILABLE BASED ON 105 DEGREES AT 2.5 GALLONS PER MINUTE. ALSO RECEIVED ESTIMATES ON DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR UPGRADING OUR HOT WATER HEATER.

I WAS ABLE TO CONTAIN THE LEAK AND IT TOOK HIM ABOUT ONE HOUR TO ARRIVE AT MY HOUSE. UPON ARRIVAL HE ASSESSED MY SITUATION AND HAD THE LEAK FIXED WITHIN AN HOUR. THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE PLUMBING TRADE. HIS WORK WAS EFFICIENT AND WELL DONE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE EXTRA COST TO ME BECAUSE IT HAPPENED ON A WEEKEND. BUT, I BELIEVE ALL PLUMBING COMPANIES DO THE SAME THING.
Description of Work: A WATER PIPE RUSTED THROUGH AND BECAME A CATASTROPHIC LEAK, WATER WAS SPRAYING ALL OVER MY FURNACE ROOM. I CALLED METZLER PLUMBING COMPANY. IT WAS A SUNDAY EVENING AND I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD COST AN EXTRA $75 TO HAVE THE WORK DONE ON SUNDAY. KNOWING THAT, I STILL ASKED THEM TO SEND AN EMERGENCY TECHNICIAN OUT TO REPAIR MY PLUMBING.
