About us
Martin Fine Furniture has kept customers happy for more than 150 years. Marty McDermott, president and namesake of the oldest furniture business in Indiana, is the third generation to run the company that was founded in 1854 by his great-grandfather. When you visit Martin Fine Furniture, chances are good that Marty himself, or a friendly family member, will greet you. Marty likes to be "on the floor," as he puts it, to do a little schmoozing with his customers. That attitude is probably why Martin Fine Furniture has survived and thrived through so many years. Experts will tell you that one reason a store has success in this era of big discounters, is being family-owned. Daughter Suzanne Sherman and son John McDermott help run the store, while keeping pace with generations of customer trends and tastes. As you enter the store, you'll immediately sense the high quality of the merchandise. And you'll feel right at home in this warm, friendly, and comfortable environment.

"When our salesperson looks up a price and quotes a price, we very rarely make a mistake. It was pure and simply human error. When the customer came in to place the order a different salesperson wrote the order up. But our orders by no means are a binding contract, due to we don't require a signature on their order. We are a very reputable company, if we weren't, we wouldn't be the oldest furniture business, since 1854! I already refunded her deposit on 1-22-07. We feel we are all done with this transaction and are very sorry for her inconvenience. I would also like to note that our store is known for having the lowest prices and free delivery. That is probably why she came to us in the first place. Misty Denney, Store Manager"
