This is typically a one-day job. It took over a week to complete the removal of old shingles and installation of new ones on the house. The shed has not been started. Additional issues include: chimney flashing not installed, chimney caps not installed, four leak spots on breezeway and master bath ceilings, during a rainstorm it rains in the basement (coming in and around chimneys), different dye lots used (mismatched shingles, informed contractor mid-job, he proceeded anyway), excess materials (shingles) for repairs were not left, one chimney is now crooked, plant material broken/killed, ceilings need to be repainted, equipment left on site. Despite the job not being complete, contractor demanded payment (I was ill with pneumonia, not in "sound mind or body", therefore, not aware of project deficiencies at the time of payment). Regarding, the mismatched shingles, contractor did not purchase all materials at the same time. Retailer of materials provided two different dye lot numbers. Was told to wait one month for mismatched shingles to ?weather in?. October 9th was one month. Color has not changed. Contractor was to commence work on the shed September 26th, he did not show, no call. I can not cash second insurance check for the house/shed will not pass inspection. Damage behind shower wall, under tub, basement ceiling and basement floor. Filed complaint with BBB, Paul Burton has not responded.
