LCS Heating and Cooling LLC

I like them a lot. I have signed up for the spring and fall check-up plan for the heating and cooling. The charge includes two visits. I do not have to pay anything extra. It is for yearly maintenance check-up, where they check the whole system to make sure that the air conditioning is working. I would continue to use them in the future. They will be back in the fall as I signed a contract with them.

The entire staff at LCS is professional, polite and a pleasure to work with! They provided us with different options ranging from most cost efficient to most energy efficient. They provided us with a quote and did not deviate from the price at all. Additionally, they made a repair AFTER installation on New Year's Eve! The repair was not from any work they did, as it turns out but from previous HVAC work not provided by them. Regarding cost, they are not nearly as pricey as many companies are but they are not the cheapest. I'm a firm believer that sometimes (not always) you get what you pay for and I feel as though I certainly got my money's worth....much more, in fact. I will certainly be using LCS in the future for all of our HVAC needs. I am a huge fan and will be recommending them to anyone who mentions needing an HVAC professional.

I came home from work and the furnace had stopped working. I searched on Angie's List for a Heating/AC company and chose this one because it seemed to be the closest to my house. I called at 4:30, fully expecting to have to make an appointment for the next day and bundling up with lots of blankets. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could send someone right away. The technician was at my house within 30 minutes. He looked at the thermostat and then opened the furnace, looked at the filter and tested the pump to be sure it was draining. Nothing seemed to be wrong with it but he cleaned a probe and stayed until he was sure it would continue running. He was very professional and very customer oriented. After he left, someone from the company office called to be sure I was satisfied with the service and explained that if the furnace quit again, there would be no service charge. So far it seems to be working just fine and I could not be more pleased with the service from this company.

They were very friendly and responsive. Overall they were really good. The price and customer service were good.

The price is reasonable. They are very good. I call them twice a year and would highly recommend them.

This is a rare gem of an HVAC company -- honest, knowledgeable, and dependable. I prefer to deal with a small but reputable HVAC company like LCS because in my opinion they can provide consistent service and are more reactive to issues that might come up.. Travis explained the issue in a way that I could tell he knew his stuff, but at the same time he didn't talk over my head. He offered suggestions for improvement (only after I asked and without being pushy) and some suggestions for work I could do myself. I really appreciate his straightforward approach.

I phoned them for our furnace not working, they came out the same day. They fixed and cleaned our furnace, explained the issue and were very professional. I was so impressed with the quick pleasant service.

Our 18yr old HVAC stopped working on the eve of the hottest day of the year so far (7/11/11). No AC and 90+ temps = miserable. Travis returned my call within one hour the following morning and, lucklily, was able to meet me at the property an hour later. The issue turned out to be the wire from the cutoff switch had degraded then caused the transformer to fail. Despite the age of the system (and us knowing it will need to be replaced soon), Travis did NOT try use the opportunity to hard sell us a new HVAC system like others have. He was happy to provide a quote for a new system when asked. His honestly, integrity, and thorough work will weigh heavily when it comes time for replacement. Very happy customer!

We have a one and a half story house with a master bedroom on the second floor. We wanted a whole house fan to cool the upstairs because our upstairs bedroom is usually 10-15 degrees warmer than the rest of the house (despite updated insulation). For environmental and fresh air reasons, we prefer to reserve the AC for really hot nights. LCS was fabulous to work with. They were really clear about uncertainties about our project (how many additional attic vents we would need, how much air flow we could expect, etc.) and potential extra costs related to those uncertainties. The quality and timeliness of the work was excellent. They followed up with us to get feedback on our results. We have had the house fan for a year and are very happy with it. Turning it on around dinner time and letting it run for a few hours with the windows open equalizes the upstairs and downstairs temperatures and creates a nice breeze throughout the house. Perfect for beautiful cool evenings! I was concerned about potential drafts in the winter, but this was not a problem at all.

They have a onetime charge to cover both the services for the whole year. Fortunately they have only had to come out and tune it up or check it out. They haven't had to do any repair work. They are very punctual and reliable. I would presume their quality is very good. I have not had any problems. I think they are professional.

Travis came out, looked at my old system and offered to try to fix it. The system was very old and I decided to put a new system in. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done , what it would cost, and how long it would take to install. They came promptly, were professional and courteous, and did a good job taking out the old system and cleaning up. They were very nice to work with and I would definitely use the company again.

my heating went out overnight. in the early morning (7 am) i left a message on the office voice mail hoping for a call sometime that morning. they returned my call within minutes and then apologized for not answering right away!! promptness doesn't get better than that! they came over that morning in a free time i had and had it fixed by noon. price was very fair.

They set an appt with me the same day and ended up being able to come earlier than they originally guessed. He found the problem right away, ignitor. Also used them this past summer on our AC when it was broken. They don't use scare tactics or try to upsell everything, really appreciate this company!

Travis arrived on time and was able to fix the problem. He capped off the duct and suggested that we have additional insulation put around the hose bib where it enters the house. He was very friendly and knowledgable. We will definitely use his services again for our spring service of our AC and heat pump.

Travis was wonderful. We actually had some problems with our old furnace, from last year, where our heating bills were astronomical (~$600/month) and had someone out to look at our furnace last year, who said it was 'working fine'. We decided to take advantage of the tax credit this year, and got several quotes. Travis was probably the fourth one to come out, and he was the ONLY one that noticed 'Hey, did you guys know that your air conditioner was running at the same time as your furnace?' He turned the air conditioner off, and our house was immediately warm and toasty just like it should be. Needless to say, that helped our decision about which company to go with, and they installed our system and it is great!

On a scheduled maintenance contract appointment (with another company), a crack in my furnace's heat exchanger was discovered. I called Travis to get a second opinion and another estimate (if needed). Travis worked me into his schedule for an early appointment the next morning and within five minutes confirmed the other technicians comments. He took time to show me the problem, explain my options to me (didn't use scare tactics), and talk about my repair / replacement options. I was very impressed with both he and Renee's personability and focus on customer satisfaction. I chose to have LCS install a high efficiency replacement furnace and Igor and Michael took care of the install. They were both very friendly and professional seemed to do a good job installing the furnace. I will update this post later as the quality of the install becomes more evident, but so far, I'm very pleased. [update after the first winter] The furnace worked great this winter (and my gas bill was way down)! I've been further impressed by LCS keeping in touch to make sure everything is going well. I also am very pleased that they are willing to do service contract scheduling via email (email reminders and email correspondence for the actual scheduling) as I hate talking on the phone. These guys are great!

Went extremely well. were able to finish in 11/2 days as they said they would. Travis and his 2 workers were excellent. I would use them again without hesitation.

Travis was a true professional. He showed up for an early morning Saturday appointment and tuned-up our furnace. He also noticed we needed a new piece on the outside unit, researched that it was under warranty and came out on Tuesday morning to fix it all up. I'd definitely refer him and use him again. A+ for sure!

I don't know why anyone would use anyone but LCS. Travis is the total professional. I had two other well known HVAC service companies come out to clean my furnace ----both said the blower motor was sure to go out soon and I could replace it for $600 plus dollars but would be better off buying a new furnace. By the way my furnace is only 12 years old. I saw LCS on Angies list and called. Travis came out and did a throrough check of the furnace and said there nothing wrong---blower motor was fine and amping within range. He got to the house exactly when he said he would --talked to me several times on the phone answering all of my questions. He didn't try to sell me any new parts, any new furnace and didn't charge me. I will give Travis all my business in the future, and I recommend anyone reading this do the same. Also why isn't there some kind of regulatory service to monitor most of these scamming HVAC companies ---they just seem to be in it to sell new furnaces or airconditioners. Great! superb! good price, good work. my wife was very pleased to have him out since she was at the house when he came out. all went well. hassle free. he got the work done. all went well. i would hire him again.

Our Lenox airconditioner was only 8 years old and had been installed by one of the larger local heating & A/C companies. The original installer had charged us over $300 earlier in the summer to replace a faulty capacitor. A month later, the compressor quit and they wanted over $1300 for the installation of a new compressor (note, this was just for the labor/installation as the part itself was under warranty!) At this point, we decided to look for another service provider. I searched Angies list for a smaller company that services Lenox who had good ratings. I found LCS. Travis came out to confirm the diagnosis within one day. He promply did the warranty paperwork and got our new compressor installed. His prices were much more reasonable and he was very easy to work with. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Travis and his crew were great, and they recognized that a roofing nail punctured the refrig. line from the roofing work that went on last September. I called the roofing company, told them about the problem and what Travis saw, and after discussing the issue with Travis they agreed to pay for the repair. The estimate was for around $750.00 for everything, but I didn't pay for it, the roofers did. This was after I got an estimate from Airtron for a repair ($2,000) to a new system ($10,000) and another company refilled the line after I told them there was a leak. If I had to pay for this repair, he would have saved me at least a thousand dollars, but by recognizing that a roofing nail caused the damage, I got the work done for free. He was very professional, as well as his crew. Very easy to work with and it was apparent he was looking out for me and not trying to sell me thousands of dollars worth of materials and repairs that I didn't need. Very honest, hard-working man. I would HIGHLY recommend LCS!!

I've used them more than once and I always use them. They are excellent. Their prices are reasonable. They are wonderful and they are very thorough. I am very satisfied. They are prompt and professional. They are on time.

They came out and checked the air conditioning unit, a month ago. They are great. They are very conscientious. The company is run by a guy and his wife came out and did all the work. They were fabulous. Their installation was just fabulous. They came out on time. They were very professional. They didn?t make a mess. They explained what they were going to do. I spent about $6000. Their price was competitive. I had four different people come out to give me estimates for the furnace. I will use this company again in the future; I will not call anybody else.
