Larry's Tub Reglazing

We hired Larry to reglaze our bathtub on April 19, 2024. He was professional and friendly during the initial visit and appeared to work hard while on site. He also gave us clear and specific instructions on when we could use the tub and what cleaning products were safe to use, instructions we followed closely. Unfortunately, within six months we noticed significant chipping, and the glaze around the drain began peeling off entirely. Despite Larry’s advertised warranty, we’ve had ongoing difficulty getting him to come back and address the issue. We’ve reached out numerous times, and although there was some back-and-forth early on, he has since stopped returning our calls altogether. While I understand that our project may have been more involved than he expected, that should have been assessed when he arrived. Larry gave us a quote based solely on photos, and if the scope of work was greater, we would have gladly paid more to have it done thoroughly and properly the first time. It’s now been over a year, and we’re still waiting for a resolution. At this point, the lack of communication makes it clear he’s not standing behind his warranty. It’s disappointing, because the initial experience was positive, but the follow through has been extremely frustrating.

I paid for the 5year warranty. After 2 years it started to peel and called Larry. He scheduled me an appointment and the day before he had to reschedule. Texted he would call me on Monday. I’ve texted 3 times and left messages, he hasn’t responded. Blew me off.

Larry was exceptional! He provided a detailed explanation of the work he was going to do, what was required, and what steps we can take to prevent our tub from getting dull. He showed up right on time, offered to save us money by doing the rechaulking ourselves, And finished in just a few hours. He was great!

Larry is the best rated for a reason. He's good and efficient.

Showed up on time and very good. 

I have used Larry in the past with no issue. I hired Larry to reglaze and change color of a tub from blue to white. He scheduled with me on a Wednesday, and was a no call no show. I called him he came out on Thursday and got started I paid him up front and I left. He called me less than an hour, and he said tub was only giving hot water, that he needed hot water to clean properly. I told him a bath room or kitchen sink has cold water and he had no bucket with him. He rescheduled for a week later. The next Thursday rolled around no call no show . I had my business partner call him on his phone just you get ahold of him. It finally took 3 weeks from the original date to get tub completed. The craftsmanship he left me was big runs on outside of tub and blue color bleeding through on inside of tub. I called him next day to repair. He was extremely rude and refused to come out and fix, he blaming us for only having hot water available in the tub or not supplying him a bucket. I had to hire another glazing contractor to make repairs which cost me twice what he charged due to having to remove his glazing from existing tub. In which other contractor inform me know H ng or primer was applied under his glazing which would not have lasted very long. Definitely would not recommend Larry.

He was very quick. He told me what to expect. He is very honest. He has very good experience. He showed up when he said he was going to.

The service provider works solo, arrives on time, explains very thoroughly what the procedure will entail, and carefully instructs as to how to care for the finished product.  The process took approximately three hours and the results were quite impressive.  Aside from the odor of the medium, the process was painless.  Mr. Kirkwood is very pleasant and quite professional.  I would highly recommend him.
