Indy Overhead Doors

There are several garage door companies with similar names, so be SURE you’re getting this one. I called in a panic on a Saturday morning, the day we were to begin showing our home for sale. With 5 appointments beginning in 2 hours, I discovered the garage spring had broken in the night and it wouldn’t go up. I called several companies and got answering services and the best they could do was put me in a queue with a 3-hour window. At Indy Overhead Door, I got the kindest person answering the phone. By that point I was near tears as I explained my situation. She said, “Hold on. I have an idea. I’m going to call you right back.” In 10 minutes, she called back and said the company owner (35 years experience) would be at my house within the next half hour. “He’s our fastest worker, and he’ll fix you right up, I promise. Don’t you worry.” She also had me text her pictures of the spring because “I want to make sure he has the exact right part on the truck for you.” Darrell arrived. He is also kind, friendly, and very professional. He had the part fixed in TWENTY minutes (including tidying everything up and oiling everything so the door sounded brand new as it went up) and was on his way. This is a family-owned company. The lady who answered the phone is his mother. When she realized my situation, she called him at home (he wasn’t working the weekend) to ask if he could come help me. Folks, people just don’t do business like this any more. This is the kind of place that really cares about you. Add this number to your file of “places I can count on” and don’t call anyone else. They are terrific.

I got answering machines for a couple of other providers who are closer to my house. When I called Indy Overhead in the early afternoon, I was able to talk to a friendly person immediately. She was able to schedule a time just a couple of hours away. Darrell arrived about 20 minutes early; I wasn't home, but had left the garage door open for him and gave him permission to start right away. By the time I got home 20 minutes later, he was finishing, having replaced all 4 springs and lubricated the door. Had a great conversation with him and was happy to pay him for a job well done.

Replaced our broken spring on the garage door at 10:00 at night. He was prompt, polite and quick. He came and finished in less than 30 minutes in and out.

Darrell was punctual, quick and very professional. He had prpblem diagnosed and repaired both door springs within 20 miutes of arrival. Can't recommend Darrel enough.

We first encountered INDY OVERHEAD DOOR last winter when we called them to come out in a snow storm at 10 PM to repair our garage door on an emergency basis b/c the power was out and our door was knocked off the tracks trying to open it without the garage door opener working. We were very impressed by Darrell who was prompt courteous and efficient as well as quick to get here at a difficult time.
Last week when we wanted a tune-up of both our doors we called his company again, this time being served by his brother Zack. Yesterday he came over to assess the situation, measuring the doors and explaining what kind of seals were available. Then this morning he returned to install seals for top, sides and bottom of doors, as well as tuning up and rebalancing door mechanisms. Within an hour and a half he was finished and explained to me what and how he had done everything. I couldn't believe how easily our very heavy 16 foot doors now function. The price was also surprisingly low for the total amount of work and the quality of service. These young men formerly worked for Professional Garage Door Systems and really know their stuff. They recently started their own business and I highly recommend them  for any residential garage door work you need done.  A+++ service provider in my estimation!

Called Darrell with Indy Overhead Door.  We have worked with him for years when he worked for another area garage door company.  We have had him work on our primary home as well as rental homes in Hamilton County.  Very professional, honest and does great work.  Price is very reasonable and he is great at explaining the situation as well as all options for repair. Never feels like its an upsell.  Highly recommend.

It went great. I had contacted another provider, though they no longer perform residential service. They referred me to Indy Overhead Door because Darrell, the owner, used to work for them on their residential jobs on the north side of Indy. I called Darrell on the morning of the 7th and he informed me that he had two jobs ahead of me. He gave me a call twenty minutes before he arrived. I was pleasantly surprised how soon he was able to come to my home. He completed the work and left the area clean.

Our power was out so we had to open & close our garage door manually. It is a heavy double door and got skewed when closing it so would neither close all the way nor open again. Darrell came out late in the evening in sub zero temps to adjust the torsion spring balance and fixed it in about 5 minutes! He was prompt, polite and efficient. Would definitely use again and highly recommend!
