He could also do something with that other toe which appeared to have arthritis.
But in the meantime, I could try this pad which he gave me that wrapped around my toe (and was uncomfortable and cut off my circulation).
He spent about 10 minutes with me.
When I got my bill, it was for $67.00. (I had already paid a $40 co-pay). This included a $10 fee for that pad thing that I never wore, which would've cost $2 at CVS.
Quite a hefty bill, plus the insult of charging me for that thing.
They didn't say it would cost anything extra. No other provider that I visited for a 2nd opinion charged me anything for other pads they suggested I try.
I don't like unpleasant surprises, and when I called the billing department, they argued that usually the staff tells the patients that contraptions cost extra.
I will NEVER go back to this provider again. A waste of time and money.
"[Member Name], I'm very sorry that you feel you were not treated well in our office. I'm more so disappointed that you did not make an attempt to clear this up with our office prior to airing these issues in a public forum. Although one can not please everyone, I believe that I answered all of your questions and provided you above average service during several visits to my office. If you would like to discuss any of this further I would appreciate you giving my office a call as I will not discuss your personal information in a public forum. Otherwise, I wish you good luck in the future. Sincerely, Scott Schulman, DPM"
Dr. Schulman has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have had. When my daughter was just 7 years old, she saw him for a planter's wart. He never spoke down to her and toke the best route for recovery for someone that age.
The staff has always been very pleasant and friendly.
