As soon as I heard about the water in the basement, I called Hope plumbing and they were at our house within about 10 minutes of my arrival home.
Jonathan checked things out and found a short in another appliance on the same circuit and unplugged the bad appliance.
Got the pump running and checked it's efficiency. And it pushed all the water out of the basement and just left what had already soaked into the rugs/baseboard.

Roger was the plumber who quoted the estimate and also came back to perform all the work once an agreement was met and work date scheuled. He explained in detail what it would take time wise and the cost to finish the remodel. He arrived exactly on time with all materials needed to complete the job.
This is a 59 year old house with galvanized pipes which often times can cause some real headaches when it comes to installing new fixtures. Roger knew exactly what to do to complete each task and worked in a very timely manner. As his work progressed I could tell he was a very experience plumber and knew exactly what he was doing. The new tub/shower faucets and drain required a sensitive touch since they are surrounded by old glass tile which is easy to break. The pedistal sink and drain are also surrounded by glass tile and it was no problem for Roger to work around. The toilet was installed very quickly and all work areas were cleaned up before he left. I would not hesitate to hire Hope plumbing again and will do so again in the future.

I believed the quote I received was for a 50 gal. gas water heater. The unit installed is a 40 gal.
The 40 gal. tank is adequate for one person but because of comparing picing, I don"t know if this ended up a
competitive price or not.
The company was short handed on the day of installation so a guy was called in to help. The installation was later in the day than promised but the company called and let me know.
Because the installer was working alone, he had trouble removing the old tank from the basement. I did not realize until after he left that he had chipped the paint on the floor and gouged several of the wood steps coming up from the basement.
The installer was very courteous but he should have waited until he had help another day to remove the old tank.

If you asked for a 40 gallon heater, that is what we would have installed. As per most manufacturers, a 40 gallon heater is recommended for up to a 4 person home. As for your pricing concern, I am not sure how to address it other than by saying that our rates are very competitive. I am sorry if we were running behind that day, but it sounds like we contacted you and apologized for our delay. He was able to clean it out and also recommended replacing a "T" connection further up the line. The original connection was made out of rusting metal and the new one was a PVC-like material. I am hopeful that hereafter I will not have to call them for this service for a longer time frame. The plumbers from Hope are always courteous and professional. The office is located nearby, so they can run back there if they need different equipment than they anticipated. They always explain what they need to do and why in a way I can understand. Their prices are very good. I recommend Hope Plumbing highly.

I called 3 companies for an estimate on hooking up the sinks. Hope knew exactly what was needed and gave me an estimate over the phone. The estimate was on target. They are prompt, friendly and did excellent work. When I needed more work done I had them back and finished the jobs quickly. I would use them again for any plumbing work needed.

I called on Monday to schedule an appt. on Tuesday. They said they could be there between 2-5pm. They actually called around 12:30pm on Tuesday and said they could be there sooner. The plumber arrived ahead of time, asked a few questions and proceded to clear the drain with a snake. After the drain was cleared he used a treatment on the drain. He was very professional, and fast.

iI had thought to do this myself since if all goes well it's not a hard job. i'm very glad I didn't. I don't have the proper tools and seeing the difficulty the plumber had I realized that I would have been unable to get the nut loose at all, and then I wouldn't have known where to get the right size drain if I had got the old one loose. So I'm glad I called Hope
