I had researched snowblowers and had decided on the brand. Last year I had sold my snowthrower, right before our big snows, because it was too big and heavy for me. I needed a 2-stage for some of my area is gravel. Airens had a compact 22 that just fit me.
I went to different dealers and I was treated the best at Canary on Southport Rd. From the time I arrived until I paid for my purchase, I was treated with respect. I got a thorough education by the woman in the showroom (sorry can't remember her name) and felt comfortable that she was not just trying to make a sale. She was attentive and engaging. She pointed out a warranty extension that was available at no charger until the end of the month.
As I was checking out, I was told that they would set up the machine and adjust it before I picked it up. Then, they offered to deliver it for a very small fee. I took them up on that and was very pleased when it arrived at my home. The man who delivered it went over the features, started it up and put it where I wanted it. I was disappointed there was no snow for him to try it out, but I'm sure that will come.
This was one of the most stress free purchases I have made. I heartily recommend them for purchases and repair!

Two weeks later Jim called me back and and explained what was wrong with the mower engine and what he did to fix it. Turns out it had a stuck engine valve which resulted in lack of compression. He replaced the valve and push rod , readjusted the timing and it was good to go. He was ready to return it that day, but I asked him if he would sharpen the blades while he had it there and he said okay and that he would bring the mower back the following day. Blade sharpening was 10.00 dollars each. Again I think that's very reasonable.
I believe Canary dealt with me fairly and honestly. Didn't try to inflate the repair cost by telling me I had to replace a lot of things that weren't the problem. I would recommend Canary Outdoor Power Equipment Sales and repairs highly to anyone. As long as they continue to provide the great service and reasonable prices, they will be my choice for service repair. And when the time comes that I replace my mower, they will be the first place I look.
