They moved all of the water, pumped out the freon and everything necessary to basically install a new unit. I also had them install a new digital thermostat for me. They gave me a timely estimate, they showed up on time. The job took a little longer than they thought it would, but they stayed until the job was completed to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: They moved my AC unit from one part of the house to another. They had to totally redo everything, just like they would have to if installing a brand new unit.

They showed up on time. My heater wasn't working and they were able to take care of it in a timely fashion. They were very good. They were also very polite and professional. They even offered me other suggestions on how to maintain the unit.
Description of Work: The heater wasn't registering, so they had to replace a part due to the pilot light wasn't staying lit.

They are very professional and always come out on time. We have used them for 8 years. They come out twice annually to maintenance the hvac system. They will come out if you have any problems, excluding extra parts if you have any problems on the contract.

OUR HEATING AND AC SYSTEM HAD BEEN UNDER CONTRACT WITH THEM WITH THE HOUSE'S PREVIOUS OWNER. WHEN WE MOVED INTO THE HOUSE IN JULY, WE REALIZED THAT OUR AC WASN'T WORKING. THEY CAME OUT TO HOOK UP THE SYSTEM AT NO CHARGE, AND DID SO AGAIN ON A SUNDAY TO MAKE ANOTHER REPAIR - AGAIN, AT NO CHARGE. IT WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL OF THEM TO MAKE THE REPAIRS BASED ON THE PREVIOUS CONTRACT.

BUTLER WAS SCHEDULED AGAIN, AND I WANTED TO BE THERE. I TOOK OFF WORK FOR THE TIME THEY WERE TO BE AT THE HOUSE. THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP AND DIDN'T CALL. I CALLED THEM AND RESCHEDULED FOR LATER IN THE DAY. THEY SHOWED UP MUCH EARLIER, WHEN I WASN'T THERE. SINCE I WANTED TO BE THERE, MY WIFE WOULDN'T LET THEM WORK. I CALLED AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE. THEY TOLD ME TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE AND HUNG UP ON ME.
Description of Work: BUTLER WAS CONTRACTED THROUGH OUR HOME WARRANTY FOR A LEAK AT THE AIR CONDITIONER. AFTER THE FIRST VISIT THEY EXPLAINED TO MY WIFE THAT THE WATER RUNNING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS NORMAL. I MADE ANOTHER REPORT WITH THE WARRANTY COMPANY.

WHEN CONTRACTED THROUGH A HOME WARRANTY COMPANY, WE ARE GOVERNED BY THEIR RULES AND REGULATIONS. UNFORTUNATELY, MANY HOMEOWNERS ARE NOT AWARE OF MANY OF THE CONSTRAINTS PLACED ON US. WE HAVE TO GET AUTHORIZATION BEFORE ANY WORK IS COMPLETED. WE ATTEMPT TO WORK WITH ALL CUSTOMERS, REGARDLESS OF THEIR FRUSTRATIONS. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THIS CUSTOMER WAS NOT SATISFIED, BUT SOMETIMES WARRANTY COMPANY CUSTOMERS DO NOT GET THE SATISFACTION THEY DESIRE B/C THE WARRANTY COMPANY WOULD NOT COVER THEIR PROBLEM. SINCE I HAD PROACTIVELY HAD BUTLER M-K COME AND CHECK THE AC UNIT, I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE SYSTEM WHEN I WENT TO USE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. HOWEVER, THEY IMMEDIATELY FIXED THE PROBLEM.
Description of Work: IN THE SPRING, I PURCHASED A SERVICE CONTRACT FOR BOTH THE HEATING AND A/C UNITS FROM BUTLER M-K HEATING & COOLING. A TECHNICIAN CAME TO MY HOUSE AND SERVICED THE AC UNIT AND DID A COMPREHENSIVE CHECK ON THE SYSTEM. ON JUNE 4, I WENT TO TURN THE AC ON, AND HOT AIR WAS COMING FROM THE VENTS. I CALLED BUTLER M-K AND THEY SENT SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY TO FIX THE FAN IN THE OUTSIDE AC UNIT.

MR. KEPPLER WAS ON TIME AND POLITE. HIS COMPANY HAS DONE EXCELLENT WORK FOR US BEFORE. I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT THE PRICE CHANGES ON THE VERBAL QUOTE. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED A WRITTEN ESTIMATE WITH THE DIFFERENT CONDENSERS AND SERVICES.

JEARMY WAS PATIENT AND VERY THOROUGH. DID A SUPER JOB! NO CHARGE (SERVICE CONTRACT). GREAT PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE.
Description of Work: FURNACE WENT OUT AT 1:30 AM 12/20/04 (SUN AM). REPLACED PART- STILL DIDN'T WORK. REPLACED TRANSFORMER, STILL NOT WORKING. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS WERE WRONG. JEARMY STAYED UNTIL 4:30 AND NEVER GAVE UP. HE GOT IT TO WORK BY TRIAL AND ERROR. CALLED AT 1:30 AM, RESPONDED AND CAME WITHIN 20 MINUTES.

THEY RESPONSED QUICKLY TO A ''NO HEAT'' CALL, BUT THERE WAS A GREAT DEAL OF CONFUSION ON THE BILLING. I HAD PAID FOR A CLEANING AND I THOUGHT A SERVICE PLAN IN JUNE, WHICH WAS REFLECTED ON MY ORIGINAL INVOICE. HOWEVER, I THEN RECEIVED A BILL FROM THEM FOR THE EMERGENCY CALL. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY GOOD, BUT THEY ARE NOT ON TOP OF THEIR BILLING, INVOICING.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS FRIENDLY, BUT SHOWED UP 1 HOUR AFTER CALLING TO SAY THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY (MY APPOINTMENT WAS THE FIRST APPOINTMENT OF THE DAY). VERY THOROUGH, BUT DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE PRICES I WAS QUOTED ON THE PHONE FOR THE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT.

THEIR INITIAL PRICE FOR THE ANNUAL HEATING AND A/C CHECKS WERE ABOUT 50% HIGHER THAN (ANOTHER COMPANY''S), WHOM WE''D ALWAYS USED. I MENTIONED THAT, AND THEY OFFERED TO MATCH (THE OTHER COMPANY''S). WHILE WE''D ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH (THE OTHER COMPANY), I SWITCHED BECAUSE BUTLER-M-K BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP US OUT WITH OUR FURNACE SITUATION.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED OUR FURNACE, WHICH WAS LEAKING CARBON MONOXIDE, UNDER A HOME WARRANTY. GAVE US GOOD INFO ON WHAT OUR CHOICES WERE. THE $700 IS WHAT WE PAID TO UPGRADE TO A MORE EFFICIENT FURNACE. THEY OFFERED TO LOAN US A HANDFUL OF SPACE HEATERS TO TIDE US OVER UNTIL THEY GOT THE FURNACE IN (THIS WAS LATE SEPTEMBER). GOT THEM HERE IN A VERY TIGHT TIME FRAME AND COULDN''T HAVE BEEN NICER. WE NOW USE THEM FOR OUR ANNUAL HEATING AND A/C CHECKS.
