Broad Ripple Service Experts

We are on a yearly contract with them. Our experience with them has been good. They are prompt. They follow through on what they say they are going to do. They are clean and don't leave a mess when they do their job. I have used them for several years. Their price is pretty average.

They were okay. I don't use them anymore, but I liked them when I used them. I stopped using them about a year ago. I was on a yearly contract with them. I don't remember what I spent with them. I have no complaints about them. They showed up on time. The people were decent. The clean-up was okay. I left them because I found somebody else a little cheaper.

They are very reliable and show up when they are supposed to. They are very friendly and we've had no problems with them over the years.

We have always liked them and they are very responsive. They are neat, tidy, friendly, and professional.

They are very good and responsive. They have very fair rates and even offer various discounts from time to time. They come in and do the job on time and do a fantastic job cleaning up after wards. They have been very reliable. We are moving and are going to have them install a new heating and cooling system for us prior to selling our home. They have been great, they have provided us with a lot of information and explained all of our options.

The service man, Darren, originally told us that the faulty limit switch had been written down on the maintenance report. He later called us and corrected his statement. ( I couldn't find the yearly maintenance report.) We appreciated his honesty!

I picked this company because it was well reviewed on Angie's list, and it didn't charge a travel charge (so it said). When I called in to schedule the service, I specifically asked the girl on the phone about travel/diagnostic charges- and she SPECIFICALLY told me that there was a diagnostic charge, but if I had the work done it would be credited to the total. Jay showed up promptly, and put on boot coverings to protect my floors when he came in. He was very professional and pleasant, and explained what was wrong with my humidifier. He estimated it would be $250.00 to replace the valve that lets water in to the unit. It was at this point that I found out the the diagnostic charge is NOT credited to the work done, so the total to replace a simple valve would have been nearly $400.00. When I told him the receptionist specifically told me that the diagnostic charge would be credited to the work done, he informed me that the number listed is a CALL CENTER somewhere far away- and that those employees do not work at Broad Ripple Heating. Basically, I was lied to, and had no recourse because the blame laid on a mysterious "other" company. Call it a diagnostic charge, call it a service charge, call it a travel charge- it is all the same. It is dishonest for them to list themselves as having no travel charge- calling a pig a chicken don't make it lay eggs.

I felt like the service tech didn't convey to us adequately that there were options to his plans. We were left with the sense that we either had to spend over $8000 for this complete package, or go for the $1400 package that was just a replacement of the heat exchanger. The furnace he offered was 90% efficient and had been installed for 3 days in another home. I wanted to get another estimate and opinion on the work before committing. (I'm glad I did, because the second company was able to get a 94% efficient furnace and do only the work that we asked to be done for about half the price.) However, I will say that the service tech was very nice the whole time, plus the company was very willing to work with us in financing. Overall, we are pleased with Service Experts; it just so happens we found a better deal when looking elsewhere.

2-2-10 kitchen sink was plugged and they came out and unplugged. We were told that the work was guaranteed for 30 days. 2-19-10 the sink plugged up again and we had to pay another $65 to have it cleared again (we were gone for 5 of those days). We had to negotiate the discounted $65.00. Quite an unpleasant experience, especially when we requested to have a different person sent out from the first time, and the same one came out.

From start to finish this company has professionalism. I was told by two other companies that I would need a new furnance. I used this company as a third opinion. During the sales conversation, Dave told me that I might consider having someone from their maintenance team come out and check to see if I really need a new furance. When Ted came out, he spent a total of 20 minutes to fix a problem that two companies misdiagnosed and two other companies said was unfixable. The company was professional, efficient and honest. They may charge more for yearly maintenance and service plans, but they are worth it and have a customer for life.

They have been pretty good. I am happy with them. Their prices are not great, but they are professional and they always come out when I need them.

Excellent. Called on a Saturday afternoon and they showed up early evening. This had happened to me before so we took a quick look at the septic to confirm the same problem. Quickly cleared the plug and checked that everything worked fine. Very pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend.

I couldn't ask for better service than they gave. I could tell they were making this job a priority because I was having to heat the house on emergency heating. I have used Broad Ripple Heating for many years and they have always done an excellent jpb/

The work was fine. The only question was the price as I noted that others advertised the same service for less. I used them because I purchased the unit from them. In addition, they did not deduct the $10.00 coupon form Angie's list. I gave him the coupon when he started to write up the invoice. He acknowledged it and said ok. After he left, I checked the receipt and found that it was not deducted.

During the recent snow storm our furnace stopped working. We didn't realize it until about 7:00 PM. Called the 24/7 phone number and the on call tech Kevin called us in a few minutes to report that we were second on his list of customers to see. He stated 3-4 hours. He called back and said he would be there by 9:30 and he was.

Excellent. The plumber was courteous, explained everything to me, and gave me a price estimate before proceeding. I felt the money was well spent. He also showed me how to perform maintenance on the new water heater. I have had the pleasure of working with this same plumber before when he saved me from having to replace my old toilet. I am sorry I can't remember his name!

Village Plumbing always does a top-flight job of fixing our plumbing problems. I don't know why faucets are so expensive, but such is life. And we did get top quality Delta faucets and it's good to support a local company.

Three new furnaces were suggested, after discussion we choose the top of the line. Had purchased a furnace for other house from them and they have serviced our heating system for many years. So bought from them as a trusted company.

They put in a new heating and air conditioning system for me.

I would give them a top rating on everything. They put in the unit for us. They are very professional and reliable. They do what they say they would do.

Overal the experience was very good. One hickup occurred when the power snake brought to do the job had a problem and another one had to be delivered to finish the job. Serviceman let me know that he was "stopping" the clock on the job so that I would not be charged for their equipment failure. I appreciated this as it kept me from having to ask that question myself. Job was done effectively and quickly, otherwise. Pleasant personnel. As usual, I am always taken aback by the cost of plumbing service, though their prices are probably not out of line with other area providers. Still, $200 for about an hours worth of work seems a little stiff. I would use this company again.

Other than a little confusion when speaking to the dispatch person, the entire experience was wonderful. We called Tuesday and asked to have an estimate done. Lance came out, estimated the cost and answered all of our questions. Later we called back to book the installation. Again, a little confusion on the dispatch end, but finally someone called us back to set the date. New Years eve it was. Lance and his assistant arrived on time and laid out mats throughout the first floor of my home. Wonderful. Soon they were down to work throughout the house, efficiently removing old pipe and replacing with new. By 3 or so they were cleaning up and done. Nice work!

My husband was very satisfied with them. They weren't cheap but the service was excellent. They were very prompt and were able to come out right away. We haven't had any additional problems. My husband is very hard to please and he was pleased with their service. He was very happy with how efficient they were. They are well-established.

They are very good. They are very courteous. They arrive on time and they tell you ahead of time that they are coming. They explain what they are doing. They do their work and they are very quiet. They come back to tell you what they did, what's wrong, what they corrected, what's good and what's bad, and any recommendations. They sit down and talk to you for awhile. When they get all done, they leave and they are very courteous. It's a very good experience.

They were polite, but they tried to steer me into another direction (heat pump or gas furnace). I'm not sure why they didn't want to consider the geothermal unit, but I found a company that was willing to do it and I am very pleased with those results.
