Broad Ripple Service Experts

I initially had Broad Ripple Heating out on June 5th. I was told that nothing was wrong with the evaporator coil and that I just needed to seal the air leaks better to prevent condensation. The tech also cut the drain line to see if it was draining. He never properly sealed it, causing it to also leak. I had another tech out on 6/14 (which was great....they were able to come out even earlier than I was expecting and I know these companies are swamped). The problem is, the tech didn't even pull the access panel to the coil off; rather, he pulled some of the insulating tape off, shined his flashlight in, and told me the evaporator coil pan was cracked and I needed a new coil for $1300. He then informed me that given the age of my AC unit outside, there was a good chance that I would need another new coil when the outside unit went, and gave me pricing for new units. I appreciated getting the estimate, however, as it gave me an idea of the potential cost of a new unit. However, I had another company come out on 6/16, and the problem turned out to be nothing more than the coil and attached pan angled incorrectly, preventing the condensation/water from draining properly. I paid $97.50 rather than almost $1300 for what amounted to a quick and complete fix. After that, and looking back, I'm disappointed that neither tech from Broad Ripple Heating decided to spend the extra few minutes to pull the panel off and fully inspect the coil. I understand how busy these companies are with the summer weather but they lost a potential future customer because of this, and I know that I will need a new AC within the next couple of years, if not sooner, given the age of my AC overall (12 years old)

The guys were professional and really helpful. The cleaning took most of the day and we felt comfortable leaving them in our house when we went out. They explained things well and cleaned up afterwards.

Arrived on Saturday on short notice. Repair was made within 5 minutes of arrival.

Great. They were running a little behind that day, but after John arrived, assessed the mess and gave me an estimate, they sent over another plumber to take care of the bath drain while John fixed the leaky pipe.

We were very satisfied with them. I would recommend them to anybody. They were very good. We are talking years on what they have done any time. Their prices were within reason. The quality of products and services was excellent. Their punctuality was good. Their professionalism was really good. If I have any heating or air-conditioning issues, I will go back to them.

I had them come out to look at my Air conditioner that was cycling on and off. The technician looked at the Air conditioner but couldn't find anything wrong with it. I asked him to recharge the refrigerant because the air wasn't blowing very cold either. The technician tried to get me to pay to have them come out again with diagnostic equipment to test my Air conditioning and then still pay to recharge it if it needed it. The Air conditioning quit working the next day. I had to call out a family friend to look at the air conditioner and the whole board was melted away. If the technician from Service Experts would have checked the board or knew what to look for he could have seen what was going on.

Completed thoroughly and promptly. Technician was mannerly, friendly and professional. He explained test readings and observations, and advised on type of furnace filter to use.

No surprises, good communication. I used their web site to schedule, That is a big plus for me.

Adam, the technician, arrived within the time-frame promised. He went right to work, explaining what he was doing as he did it. We always ask for him, as he has been very helpful in the past.

Arrived when promised and service the AC. The service rep discussed the condition of the unit and some issues to consider when it will need to be replaced ( it is 20+ years old). I have used BR for years and have always found them to be reliable.

5 year old water heater was leaking from the inside somewhere. I called Village Plumbing who had originally installed it and they were able to send someone out within a few hours to replace it. This was on a Saturday. The water heater was under warranty so I wasn't charged for a replacement, but I was charged for the labor. I was perfectly happy with fast response and installation itself. The repairman was very courteous and friendly, as usual. I only wish they would have given me a little better deal on the labor since it was their product that broke after only 5 years.

The service man cleaned my furnace, electronic air cleaner, water pump and airconditioner. He checked for efficiency and accuracy of my thermostat. He was very informative and considerate. I was and always are very pleased with the service I receive from Broadripple.

Their work was good but their follow up with ordinary. They were really good about sending their service people out, getting the system installed but the service after installation was kind of iffy.

They called to reschedule the appointment and I got idea that it was at their convenience instead of ours. However, I did have to reschedule with them once as well. Other than that, everything went fine.

Fine, when I called to set appointment, the call center was out of state and set appointment with 3 hr window, local office call back with specfic time for appointment. Rep was on time professional and provided all infromation we needed to make decision. We choose to stay with our current provide of service and equipment, since we have had experience with them.

The service technician arrived according to schedule, the work was completed in a timely manner and the problem of no water pressure was resolved with the new tank.

One of our bathroom sinks was draining slower and slower over a period of time and then one night it stopped. The next morning we called Village Plumbing and they sent over a plumber that afternoon and he cleaned it. The sink drains just fine now.

They come out twice a year to service our furnace and our air-conditioning units. We have a service contract with them and they come out in the spring and the fall to do the service on both. The service contract that we pay is $15.00 a month and that allows for the two check-ups a year so the price is included in that. We have used them for many years now and they installed our last air-conditioning system replacement in 2006. We have been very pleased with their service. They are always very professional and clean. They wear the booties on their shoes when they come into the house. They are very polite. They always are very efficient about the work that they do. It doesn't take them very long and they explain everything they are doing and what they find. They offer anything that they think we might want to consider. We don't necessarily take them up on it, but they do bring it up and let us know what kind of specials they might have. They are real good about calling in advance to let us know, to confirm the appointment and also to let us know when they are on the way. They do a good job of fitting the time when they are going to be here, like they tell us between 8 and 10 or 8 and 9. We would use them in the future.

Needed new heating & A/Cand it all went like a charm, helped me with rebate/tax credit info, couldn't be more satisfied

Everything went well as far as responsiveness to request, punctuality, and work on gathering information to create estimate. Salesperson was very thorough. However, once estimate was completed, the process went downhill. We were presented with an overall figure, then an "explanation" using the state rebate and federal tax credit showing a reduction to come up with a total price. When we expressed an opinion that the price was way too high, the salesperson explained that was the price he was authorized to produce, but after seeing the job and the access to the furnace in the basement, he could call his manager and try to get a reduction. It felt like a bad experience at a car dealer and I was not going to play that game, especially after having good experiences getting quotes from other companies for this project.

It was just fine. The price has not gone up any since the last time they came out. They were very clean, and they are a good company to work with.

Village Plumbing responded quickly to my call and came the same morning. The plumber took a look at the job, gave us an estimate, and deducted $25 for the Angie's List coupon that I had printed. He was quick, neat, and professional. We will use Village Plumbing again.

Went very well. They described the problem and potential solutions. Were prompt and cleaned up before they left. Very professional.

The work was scheduled for a Monday morning at 8:30. Four installers arrived on time and the entire job was completed by 2 PM. They tore out the old furnaces (18 and 30 years old), replaced both heat pumps, replaced outdated refrigerant and cleaned up after they were finished. I thought this was the right time to replace these furnaces, especially with the tax break for 2010. They also provided and installed a new, honeywell programmable thermostat, for free. The installation and service was superb. The technicians answered all of my questions and I would recommend this company without reservations.
