Broad Ripple Service Experts

It went great. My job was an emergency on a Saturday night and they came right out to fix it. I am satisfied with their service.

Generally, I was pleased with the whole process. The 2 technitions appeared knowledgable and professional. They kept me informed and answered my questions. However, $1550 seemed like a lot of money for a 1/2 HP pump and 3 hours work. It took less than 15 minutes to get the old pump out of the ground. There was a lot of standing around time, which I understood because the system had to be flushed, but it was hard to understand why it took 2 people to do much of the work. I suppose I shouldn't be too critical because I have no basis for my time and cost complaints because I didn't get any other estimates.

My husband is a bad asthmatic, so when our A/C went out we needed help immediately. I called at 5:30 pm, by 8:00 pm the serviceman was at our house. He got the A/C temporarily going, not having the part. The next morning BR called, the part was in, and it was installed by noon.

Another fantastic experience. Called the morning of 26 July, they were able to come out that afternoon. The called ahead, technician was right on time. Assessed the work which, as I anticipated, was more than I wanted to deal with on my own. Technician was great. Made the repairs, showed me everything he had done and we are back in business. Took the coupon value off of the final bill. Was extremely satisfied!!

Got estimate from Sylvester & 2 others. When one of the estimates was significantly lower, Sylvester nearly matched the price, even though they were installing Lennox rather than an off name. Originally, everyone wanted to install a new air conditioner too, even though it was working fine (and rarely gets used, thanks to our cool location and our love of fresh air). They installed the furnace, and we've had no problems. They were also willing to do the work on a weekend instead of insisting it be done on a weekday, like one of the other estimates.

Our water heater was failing. Village Plumbing came out, gave a quick estimate and made a couple of recommendations that gave us some peace of mind as our water heater is in a closet on the second floor of the house. The installation went quickly and the new heater is far better than our old one.

The service person arrived promptly, was extremely professional and informative throughout the visit, told me how he was going to approach each identified problem and that he would go over the options and costs afterwards. I was particularly impressed when he showed me how to fix my clogged sink drain and prevent similar problems in future and suggested how I could probably fix my shower leakage. For the "big ticket" item--replacing the guest bathtub trap and cleaning the overflow linkage (I have an older house with some of the original galvanized piping), he explained all the options thoroughly and privided a detailed estimate of between $500 and $800 depending on how each step of the job went.

We had Service Experts first come out to our home and give us an estimate on how much it would cost to have the ducts in our house cleaned. The Technician, did a thorough walk through of our home, inspected the vents in our attic, as well as under the house for any signs of leakage that could be allowing extra dust and particles in. The Tech gave us an estimate for the duct cleaning as well as a suggestion to improve our air filtration system to think about. We called to get an appointment and was able to get them cleaned with in 2 days. The Techs showed up on time, thoroughly cleaned our ducts, cleaned up after themselves, were very polite, professional, respectful of my home and furnishing, considerate of my feelings, and did a great job!

For the last couple of years, the beginning of summer involved a trip outside: I'd turn on the AC for the first time, no cool air would come out, I'd head out to the unit, wiggle the fan blades, turn it back on, and it worked. (The first year I had another contractor come out and he recommended this.) This year, I was unable to move the blades at all, so I asked for help. I went to their website, sent in a request for service, and waited. They got back to me the next business day with available appointment times and I took the first available time. The technician came out as promised and asked for a description of the problem; I explained it as best I could. He went outside to the unit and worked on it for a while ... when he came back in, the AC was running. He had managed to work the blades loose with effort and oil, but based on the difference between last year and this and how the compressor sounds now (it sounds like an old AC unit), he recommended replacing either the motor or the AC unit itself. The problem with my AC unit is that it's discontinued, so he laid out options and consequences for me: leave it as is and hope it doesn't break soon, fix the motor only and hope nothing else breaks soon, or just replace it and know there won't be any repairs needed for a while. I needed a low-cost solution for the time being, so I opted simply to leave it as is and cross my fingers. The technician didn't try to push other solutions on me, but simply gave me information about them and let me decide on my own. The experience turned out to be much less expensive than I'd feared (because I thought I'd have to replace the unit), and I would definitely use this company again.

I'm very pleased because the heat here has been quite exceptional, and the unit has been running well. I'm very pleased with them and the experience went well because he explained everything he was doing, gave me options on an expensive way or a cheap way. He gave me prior knowledge and allowed me to make decisions of what I was going to do.

Service was great. Our technician told us exactly how long it may take to cool down. We had just replaced that part two months before. Our technician could not have been nicer in putting in a new blower fan without charge. He went so far as to explain why he thought it went out and was very honest and professional.

Our air conditioner stopped working one evening during a typically terrible week of heat and humidity. I called and scheduled an appointment with Broad Ripple Heating/Cooling after seeing their high rating on the List. I never like dealing with a call center, but they're a local chapter of a national company - so you take the good with the bad. They showed up within the appointment window and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. The real story is that during the hottest days of the summer so far this year, they repaired, not replaced our system. I was fully expecting the technician to take one half-look at the unit and tell me i need the whole system replaced. Turns out a 207.00 part was the culprit; which is much better than a 2k new unit. In an era when it seems so many companies are out to make a quick buck, it's refreshing to know that there are still good, honest companies out there.

Village Plumbing was able to send someone to my house the day I called and even offered me two time periods. The technician called when he was on his way and arrived just when he said he would. He advised me that the part might break with tightening and told me what the cost would be if that happened. He was able to fix the leak without a parts replacement. I had an Angie's List coupon that saved me $25.00 so I was completely satisfied. I have called them before and found them to be very responsive. They will get someone to your house the same day if at all possible. This has not been the case with other plumbers I have called in the past. Their technicians are very professional and their costs seem to align with what you would expect to pay.

This company used to be extremely courteous and friendly to work with. However, they recently hired a firm out of Florida to handle their scheduling and the customer service is terrible. The call center is not friendly and they now take weeks to get an appointment. I advised the call center tonight that my AC was not working and I wanted someone to come out this evening. She advised that the earliest they could get someone to my house would be July 18th. It was much easier when you were able to call the office right in Broad Ripple and talk to someone who cared about customer service.

Everything turned out very well. They were competent and nice. I have dealt with them many times in the past.

I've had a generally good experience with them. I've been using them for about 10 years. On my most recent repair; however, they put in the wrong part initially. It took them a few times, but they got it corrected. They made it up to me by discouting my final bill.

Scheduling the appointment was professional and quick. A technician called immediately after the appointment was scheduled. (Also good) He said they don't work on Whirlpool Gas Water heaters and before even looking at the item to see if it was a minor repair said that it would be $1500 to replace the unit. I suppose they did save us the $69 service fee. I was just suprised that they didn't work on a very popular brand.

This was the second visit of a two visit maintenance contract. The technician who came out this time was Kevin. Kevin did a great job. He tested everything, cleaned everything, added refrigerant (so the call had a charge, otherwise it would have been included in the $180 paid at start of contract). We chatted while he worked, very pleasant experience all around. The air conditioner was all ready to go in time for this summer's first heat wave. It sounds much quieter and runs smoother. I will definitely call Broad Ripple again. I have had good results with all their people.

Everything went fine. There were no problems. Everything was good.

I feel very comfortable with my decision to use this company and feel comfortable with the Comfort Advisor David Ward working in my home. Within 10 minutes of the sales pitch, I was sold on him and the brand he was recommending. I've had many people in my home for estimates and none other did I feel comfortable using. He was polite, professional and knowlegable. They were ready to put the system in right away but were flexible with my schedule. I have total confidence that they will do the job well.

Have used service experts for years - recent service done politely but recommended new furnace and his assessment did not seem correct to me so I got a second opinion and better recommendations. He did not clean blower wheel in furnace.

They were on time and very nice. They did the repair quickly and professionally.

Did not find or fix the problem with my heat pump. A few days later I had a different company diagnose the problem. They found a restriction and an one-way dryer which should be two-way on a heat pump. This took the technician about 30 minutes to locate. Service Experts found neither of these issues. In fact, it appears to me that Service Experts installed the wrong parts 5 years ago. I have had regular service visits from them and they have never found the problems over all of that time. These installation problems put unnecessary wear and tear on the new equipment and cost me an unknown amount in higher electric bills. In 5 years I have had a blown compressor replaced and another compressor overheat. They just replaced parts and blamed the manufacturer for faulty equipment, and did not take the time to figure out the real problem.

Faizzy Saghir, Sales Manager came to our home and did an assessment of our current system and provided several options for th equipment. His recommendations were made based upon the square footage of the home and took into account the tax advantages available for efficient units. He coordinated the work schedule and the installers, Jason Moore and Joey Brown performed the work. The old equipment was removed and the new equipment was installed with minimal inconvenience. I have a home office and I was able to continue working including participating in conference calls with being disturbed. The work was completed on time and all of the old equipment was removed at the conclusion of the job. Rodney Clapp, Installation Manager, returned to the home and cleaned the ducts. He also went over the operation of the equipment including a new thermostat with a variety of features. I would highly recommend this company for any job from major to minor work.

Andy was very honest in meeting with us to tell us the options, why some were good for us and some would not be good in our situation. We agreed to have the work done and they were on time and effecient. They covered entire stairway with tarps and were helpful in every way.
