 + -1 moreFurnace units were on sale. Our current unit is 24 years old. We took advantage of the sale and installed a new system. All the Broad Ripple workers are great. Very clean. Always on time. Service techs are also very good. Installers showed up at about 8:30 am and were finished at 5:30 pm.

Description of Work: I turned on the faucet and when I went to turn it off it would not turn off. They were able to shut the water off and replaced three bathroom faucet. They also replaced all shut-off valves.

 + 0 moreLance Smith was in charge of the project and he was great. He scheduled us very quickly. When they were removing the old heater they found that the sump pump was broken and replaced it. They were very professional. Their pricing was excellent. They were very meticulous in cleaning up their work area. They also honored a 10% discount for senior citizens. I would definitely call them again.
Description of Work: They removed the old water heater and installed a new one. They also installed a new sump pump. They installed alarms on the lift stations and sump pump.

 + -1 moreI was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours of my query, and was given an accurate cost estimate (and time) for installation. The plumber arrived within the prescribed time (2 hour window), even calling to let me know he would be a little later than initially anticipated. The job required a some additional work as one of the holes needed to be enlarged to accommodate a larger than expected valve. We are very pleased with the new faucet (and no more leaks). The cost was a little surprising, but after talking with three companies, this appears to be standard rates. Including the coupon from Angie's List, the cost was as quoted.
Description of Work: We needed to replace a leaking kitchen sink faucet and sprayer with a new set that we had purchased.

 + -1 moreThey fixed the problem. They cut a nice neat hole in the shower wall. Very professional. Very expensive. My husband got an estimate, but we were between a rock and a hard place. We needed the repair immediately, and they were already at our house. We had no ability to negotiate or it was not practical to get another plumber out.
Description of Work: We had a leak in our shower pipe. It started dripping through our family room ceiling and ruined the ceiling downstairs. We called Village. They were responsive, and they came out and found the problem. The plumber said it was unusual that a pipe would get a small pinhole leak like this. However, when it came time to discuss with our insurance, they did not communicate that. They agreed it was wear and tear, however, there was nothing discovered to indicate that. They fixed the pipes, and recommended we replace the shower head. They had one choice of shower heads, accomplished the task in one hour and charged us over $400 for that alone, plus an additional $250 to repair the pipe. We thought the cost for the shower head would be more like $300, since it was a standard Delta shower head, without any options, and it took an hour. Since they had also charged us for the pipe repair, it seemed over the top to charge so much for the shower head.

 + -1 moreLance showed up on time and did a fantastic job of replacing all our bathroom pipes. He was kind. clean and efficient. Even the dog liked him. He finished up in about six hours and after all was said and done, we had a whole new DWV system in the bathroom. Lance did a great job of answering any of my questions and I would call him back in the future if we have any other plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Lance came out to our 1938 era house during our bathroom remodeling project and gave us a bid to replace all the existing cast iron and galvanized DWV pipes in our bathroom (lav drain, soil stack, tub w/overflow drain, vent pipe). He left the price with us the same day and said he needed a day or two notice to start. We got 2 other bids and Village was the lowest of the three.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased. I've contacted several plumbers in the area via Angie's List. Village Service Manager provided a clear quote over the phone and answered all my questions patiently. I chose them because the quote was within the other quotes range, but the explanation was more detailed, thus it gave me confidence in their business practice. Their plumber John arrived promptly at 8:30 A.M and worked until approx noon. He reviewed the work and confirmed the original quote. He protected all the walking areas and everything was handle with care. In addition, even though I could not print the coupon (because the website was down), John honored the $25.00 Angie's coupon. I was very satisfied with the result and the process.
Description of Work: Provided and installed a Bradford White 50 gallon Gas Powered Vent Water Heater in our basement mechanical room. Original quote + $61.00 for 3/4" ball valve change.

 + -1 moreThe work was completely very well. They came when they were supposed to; did the work in a very professional manner. Wore booties as to not track dirt into the house. The pricing was quite fair for the work they did. On the first job was $544 which I felt was reasonable, the second job was $154 and I used an Angie's List coupon which took $65 off, down to $89. Both prices were quite fair. The person on the first job, John Shultheiss, was sent because he was familiar with older homes in Broad Ripple, and knew how to install the components with minimal disruption of the tile. The second plumber's name was Larry Beckman and he did his job on time and was well prepared. I am pleased with this company over all.
Description of Work: I had them here twice. Once was back on Feb. 20th, 2008 to replace the shower fixtures in one of our bathrooms. Our home was built in 1922 and I believe what was in there was original to the home, and it was worn out. The second job was a different technician that was sent out on March 18th to replace the ball cock in a toilet.

 + -1 moreThey scheduled and came out within 24 hours. He actually had to leave to go back to get the equipment needed and come back to fix everything. It hasn't kicked off since yesterday and before it was kicking off every 2 hours. I was really happy with their availability and promptness.
Description of Work: They came out in January and did the regular maintenance and cleaning. We signed up for a contract with them. Since then, the heating kept turning off. It turned out that the circuit board needed to be replaced so they did that.

When I had an emergency they put me on the top of their list to come out to help. They were able to do the repair and get it fixed and didn't rip me off. When they come in the house they put booties on so they don't track dirt on the floor. We will continue to use them and have even recommended them to others. The approximate cost listed is for the years service.
Description of Work: They service our heating and air conditioning units. We have a contract with them to come out twice a year to do this work, in the spring and in the fall. We have used them for 12 years now.

After troubleshooting tips on the telephone were unsuccessful, technician Jay, #190, arrived within an hour even though he was located on the other side of town. Jay quickly diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repairs.

 + -1 moreMy partner went to the basement to retrieve something around 8pm on a Friday, and I hear, "Dripping. Something's dripping. Something's DRIPPING!" And she was right. Water was dripping from the ceiling near the wall, directly on her very expensive sound board that she uses with her band. It must have been dripping all day because the area was saturated. After ripping apart the ceiling and wall because of the water damage we saw the source of the leak. We found Village Plumbing on Angie's List. Sean was at our home within an hour of our call. He was polite and took time to explain the situation to me in detail. He was done replacing the pipe within an hour. We had put down anything we could find to soak up the water, and while Sean was working, he accidentally tore an old blanket we had on the carpet. He knocked off some money from the bill for that. I thought that was very conscientious and great service.
Description of Work: Sean from Village Plumbing replaced a pipe line from just inside our house to the outside spigot. The connection at the elbow in the pipe had corroded and was leaking.

 + -1 moreWhen I called to set up a time for someone to come out to give me an estimate a LIVE PERSON answered the phone and scheduled a Saturday appointment for the estimate, which I greatly appreciated as I didn't have to take off from work! The estimate was done within days of my call, and the system installed the following week. The installers were very professional and left the entire area very clean. I have now had the system running for nearly five months, and have had no problems. As an added bonus, my combined gas/electric bills have dropped by over $100/month compared to last winter!
Description of Work: I had my entire heating and cooling system replaced with a Lennox combination gas-furnace/heat pump system, along with adding on a humidifier, a programmable thermostat and duct cleaning.
