I am not sure that the problems were diagnosed properly. I have two maple trees and the maple trees have a combination of problems. Rick, the owner, started treating the trees a year ago for aphids, which wasn't fixing the problem. Whatever the problem the trees have, is causing black mold which is ruining my deck and furniture. He treated the tree for the wrong thing, and I think he misdiagnosed it. I also lost a pine tree, which he treated.

Their price was three times the price of the other company that we went with. He was knowledgeable but was 40 minutes late for the appointed time and didn't even apologize.

The gentleman who came to give the estimate was very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions.

I was very pleased with the professionalism. Unfortunately, they were quite a bit more expensive than other quotes we received. If we were wanting something more complicated done (moving trees, etc.), we would definitely go with them due to their knowledge.

The two trees were near other vegetation that we didn't want damaged. They cut the tree from the bottom and slowly cut it down without disturbing the surrounding vegetation. The big tree was over a creek and they had to climb out and cut the big limbs off. They also had to move the tree over on to our property completely as it partially laid on our neighbor's land.

We were overall happy with the service they provided. We did have to ask them to prune more out than they seemed to be going to do initially. We did not feel we should have to have the tree pruned again for several years and we wanted good clearance of the gutters. They did a good job of thinning and shaping the tree. The cabling and rod are not visible unless you know where to look.

They never showed up, nor did they call. I don't like to do business with people that don't return your calls. They could have at least called.

We are pretty happy with their service. They were very easy to work with easy to talk to. They did arrive on time and did a quality job.

I think that the company deserves an A rating. The representative that I have assigned to me, I'm not impressed with, we have problems with him in our scheduling and with his attentiveness. The work done on the trees is good though.

I gave them a call because I realized that our tree was cracking and was ready to come apart. This was on a Saturday night. They came out to wire the tree together so it would not fall until they were able to cut it down on Monday. We live on a wooded lot and a lot of trees line the long lane. Every time we have ever called them, they are extremely responsive. We have used them often and they clean the area nicely.

I have used their services in the past. They cleaned up well when they were done with the work. They were careful when removing the tree that they cut down.

They did a very good job. The tree was hanging into the neighbors trees so it needed to be removed.

I was extraordinarily impressed with the professionalism of Richard Barker, who came out to give me an estimate on the job. He is a certified arborist and was able to give me excellent advice on how to care for my trees, and pointed out some fungus growing on the willow that would indicate that it was sick and should be completely removed. If I had been able to afford them I definitely would have used them, I ended up using another company (who also sent an arborist) that gave me an estimate that was nearly half of Bartlett's.

They were professional, but timliness was an issue.

Bartlett was hired to remove all dead, diseased and broken branches to improve health and appearance of our trees. One of the red maples is having some growth problems even though the tree is 20 years old. Bartlett recommended pruning, fertilizing, soil analysis and soil treatment. The jury is still out as to whether or not all the cost was warranted and we won't know anything until Spring. But, they did a good job in pruning the trees.
