They saved our dog's life!!! First time here and we will never go anywhere else for our pet emergencies. Our 6 year old rescued Pitt mix had been throwing up and gradually eating less and less, for the past two weeks. We had two visits to our local vet but $700 later, they could not figure out why he was sick. Within the past 4 days, he became super lethargic, barely moving, not responding to his name and breathing very quick and shallow. We arrived at 6:30pm, they took him back at 7:15 (about 4 cars in front of us), vet came and told us with a physical exam and an X-ray he was 90% sure it was an intestinal blockage. He gave us our options: emergency surgery, continuation of procedures to get a more definite answer for that 10% uncertainty, or take him home. He gave us pricing up front (2,500-3,000, ended up being 2400 for everything) and we opted for surgery. We went home and by 11pm the vet called to let us know he removed a piece of rubber kong that was lodged in his intestines, and that they did not have to remove any intestines due to necrosis (which would've been the case had we waited 2 more days he said). We picked him up at 7:15am the following day, paid before we left using the care credit card (highly recommend, takes 2 mins to apply on your phone, link on their website), and now he is at home recovering with his little brother and my extremely grateful family. Dr. Gust and the nurses were OUTSTANDING, could not recommend enough. Thank you for everything!

They are excellent. It was a walk in situation. This is all this vet does. He does the emergency clinics. He doesn't do any type of veterinary practice. He is superb. If he were doing his own practice, I wouldn't care where he was, I would go to him. He was that good. He was very caring. He recognized the animal as part of our family. He was very careful with him. He checked him over thoroughly. He could just spot on tell us what the problems were. We took that information and the x-rays to our regular veterinarian.

It was on the weekend, and they called the next day to see how things were going. Their follow up was good. It was excellent. I highly recommend that place.

I had gone to another emergency place up in the Carmel area, and boy talk about spending a lot of money to make things look fancy. I don't think the care was any better than this place.

I have been to the Airport Animal Emergi-center two times now for emergency visits in the last week and was extremely pleased with the service I received. They were very professional and efficient. The first time there was no wait and the second time I had to wait a little due to a more critical case that came in. But they kept me informed and actually got to me sooner than expected. They sent all records to my regular vet in a very timely manner. On my second visit, they actually waived the exam fee, since all they did was check to be sure my cat's urinary tract was not blocked ( a very serious condition). They are now my go-to place for after hour emergencies - which I hope I don't have.

I owe Dr. Jonathan Sheff big time! Our family took our 8 year old pit bull, Gator, into Airport animal emergency. We were there 40 minutes before the doors opened up. He pulled in the parking lot and acknowledged us. He stated nurses were inside and he would tell them we were outside. We went into an examination room. The doctor came in and felt his belly and looked at his teeth. Right away he told us there was a mass in the stomach, Gator needed an x-ray and blood work. He told us the cost too. We were in agreement and the dog was the concern, not the money. In hindsight, it was nice to know what the price was and what the next step was. Immediate attention, response, and expectations. This was a critical moment for our family and Doctor Sheff didn't leave us in the dark about anything. Gator had to have immediate surgery. He ate a corn cobb. He was vomiting blood for 2 days. While we were waiting for the blood results, he got sick in the exam room and made a huge mess. The doc came in and was very calm about the mess. We had to leave Gator there. The doc told us to call as much as we wanted to check in. He told us he would call between 9pm and 10pm. He called us as promised. Gator wasn't ready to come home in the morning because he was still in critical care. The doc told us where to take him (Merdian animal hospital) and he would be at that location right behind us. Doctor Sheff told us he didn't want to hand off Gator to another doctor because he's been the pilot and pretty much felt responsible for Gator's recovery. I can't describe how good it feels to know that there is a Doctor with such compassion, responsiveness, and that is sacrificial of his time. Who do you know that will go these kind of lengths? Wow!!! Dr. Sheff if your reading this, thank you so much! I don't know how to express my thankfulness or how we could ever repay you. The world needs to know how awesome of a Doctor and person you are!

The Dr saw us immediately as he was bleeding from an artery and had lost a significant amount of blood, he was also in profound shock. He did a very technically difficult repair of a severed tendon and lacerated artery of his left rear paw. Our dog was terrified because of being in a foot-hold trap. We were terrified he was going to die from blood loss. The Dr did an amazing repair of the artery and the tendon and told us his post-op instructions. He told us he might never walk on the paw or at best have a marked limp, he walked, ran and played without a limp or stumble. A magnificent job. Everyone was wonderful to us. By the way, this occurred at 1 am on the morning. It is too bad they don't have a specially high rating the Dr saved his life and his leg.

Took my senior sheltie, Sophie, there when she was very lethargic. They gave her IVs and monitored her. When I made the decision to send her to Rainbow Bridge, they were kind and supportive. They are kind, caring people. I will not hesitate to go there again if necessary.

Considering the circumstances, this went well. The vets and staff got her in and tended her wounds. The staff and the vet were outstanding. They called the next day to see how she was doing. I am thankful they are available and good at what they do.

I took my 8 year old cat in to the clinic concerning the tumor on her head and if they could remove it without removing her ear. I had heard that the doctor on duty that night, Dr. Gal, was an excellent surgeon. My cat had the tumor for several years and it was becoming worse with time. Dr. Gal did an excellent job removing the tumor and was able to save her ear which made me so happy! I could not be more pleased with how she looks and she is already bouncing around the house! I am thrilled with the work.

Our dog began acting lethargic and had trouble walking one evening (rather suddenly, which worried us), so we called our vet's after-hours line and they recommended we take her to Airport Animal Emergicenter, so we went there right away that night. They informed us there would be an exam fee of $83, which we agreed to. The veterinarian there examined her and could not figure out what was wrong, so he recommended a blood test, which we agreed to. The blood test came back inconclusive - no evidence of anything wrong with the dog - but cost $160. The vet said his next steps would be to start running lots of other tests, which could be very expensive, and may or may not tell us anything. Or, we could keep an eye on her and call our vet in the morning. Since the dog wasn't getting worse, we opted to just take her home - $243 poorer, but no answers about what was wrong. We were getting pretty worried - what kind of rare ailment did our dog have?
The next day we took her to our usual vet, and within FIVE MINUTES he had determined that our dog had just hurt her back, and prescribed pain pills. He said she probably just moved funny jumping off a chair, or something like that - after all, she is over nine years old. After one dose of the pain pills she was acting like her old self again.
So, for failing to make a simple diagnosis of BACK PAIN, and for robbing us of $243 and wasting our time, we give Airport Animal Emerigcenter a big fat and quot;Fand quot; and we are never going back there again!!

Frank had been having accidents for the past few months after changing his food from Science Diet to Blue Buffalo. Since he has weight issues and had passed the 25 pound mark he was eating only twice a day and being fed by an auto feeder. Unfortunately that caused struvite crystals to form and one of them blocked his urine flow completely. We called the Airport Emergi Center and they were waiting for him when he arrived a half an hour later. They kept him for two nights, hydrated him, analyzed the crystals, and sent him home with medication and prescription food. We talked with both staff members and vets frequently throughout his stay for updates and reports. We were very pleased with their caring and reassuring ways. They were very thorough and worked well with our big guy who can be finicky. He's now eating three times a day and will be getting prescription food from now on. We're hoping he'll learn to like the moist food they recommend. We're also trying to increase his activity level.

The vet was excellent. He explained the situation and did further testing that showed Gismo had improved some. He continued IV's and recommended antibiotics, and said he would call if there were any problems. I picked Gismo up at 7:45 the next morning, and he was already much improved. I returned him to my vet for continued treatment. I was very confident in his ability to treat my dog, and I was very impressed that he gave me a second opinion, and felt that my dog got good treatment over the night. He seemed genuinely concerned for Gismo. The charge was slightly less than my vet estimated I would have to pay for overnight observation and testing. I was very pleased with the care that my dog got.

It was necessary for me to take my sick cat to them for treatment. My cat had to spend the night in order to receive fluids and medicine. Dr. Gau was on duty. He and the staff were very helpful and kind during a stressful time. They took good care of my cat and did not mind when I called during the night to check on him.

New Years Eve morning our dog got very sick. After the exam, radio-graphs, and the blood work the doctor diagnosed probable liver disease, which our regular vet agreed with the next day. Dr. Gal was very gentle and compassionate with our dog. He took time to explain things and did not seem to be annoyed that we had so many questions. A full report was faxed to our regular vet and the radio-graphs were sent home with us to give to our regular vet. The technician and doctor were both highly professional and both seemed truly concerned with our dog's well being. I feel very good knowing this clinic is open when my regular vet in not. I have visited two other emergency clinics in past years and this one is by far better in my opinion.

Veterinarian Brent Gust was very helpful and sympathetic to our dog's condition. He performed the needed surgical procedure immediately and our dog was ready to go home about two hours later. We have taken our two dogs to this facility several times in the past, and we're always happy and confident with the service they provide.

Very thorough examination. Doctor and staff were very personable, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Vet explained things very well and all of my questions were answered. I have been coming to this clinic for about 8 years for numerous after-hour emergencies and concerns with my dogs. I have been impressed with every doctor I've seen and the level of care has always been very good. I live closer to another emergency clinic, but was never that happy with them. So I choose to drive a little farther to Airport Animal Emergi-Center. It is a relief knowing that they are there when my regular vet is not.

MY DOG HAD INJURED HER SELF LATE IN THE EVENING ON A SUNDAY, SO I WAS WORRIED ABOUT GETTING HER CARE. I REMEMBERED USING THEM ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO AND CALLED. THEY WERE OPEN AND GOT HER TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY. THEY CALLED AND LET ME KNOW WHEN I COULD PICK HER UP, GAVE ME DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT TO DO TO ALLOW THE TENDON TO HEAL PROPERLY AND FAXED HER CHART TO THE REGULAR VET. EVERYONE THERE WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL AS WELL AS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE.

I HAVE 9 (NINE) DOGS AND MANY HAVE VISITED THIS FINE FACILITY OVER THE YEARS FOR EVERYTHING FROM MINOR MISHAPS ON HOLIDAYS, ALL THE WAY TO SUDDEN FATAL ILLNESS REQUIRING QUICK DIAGNOSIS AND EVALUATION. EVERY TIME I HAVE NEEDED TO USE THEIR EXCELLENT SERVICES, I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY THANKFUL FOR THEIR PROFESSIONAL, HIGH QUALITY MEDICAL CARE OFFERED WITH KINDNESS AND COMPASSION FOR MY DOGS. THE DOCTORS AND STAFF HAVE ALWAYS THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED ALL OPTIONS, TESTS, TREATMENTS, MEDICATIONS, FOLLOW-UP, ETC. CONSIDERING THE OVERHEAD THEY MUST INCUR TO SUPPORT THEIR CLINIC, THE FEES ARE EXTREMELY REASONABLE. ALL SAID, I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THEIR FEES REASONABLE BUT, MOST IMPORTANTLY, THEIR CARE OUTSTANDING. I WILL, WITHOUT QUESTION, CONTINUE TO USE THEIR SERVICES.

THE DOCTOR AND HIS STAFF WERE VERY CONSIDERATE AND COMPASSIONATE! OUR PET WAS IMMEDIATELY PUT ON OXYGEN TO MAKE HER MORE COMFORTABLE, AND SHE WAS CONTINUALLY TREATED WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT AND CONCERN! OUR OPTIONS WERE THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED AND WE WERE ALLOWED TO MAKE OUR OWN DECISION WITHOUT BEING DIRECTED ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK IN THE CASE OF ANOTHER PET EMERGENCY!!

THE EMERGENCY VET DIAGNOSED HER WITH AN EAR INFECTION, BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. (MY REGULAR CONFIRMED THAT THIS BEHAVIOR WAS PROBABLY THE RESULT OF A BURST BLOOD VESSEL.) THE VET DID NOT PICK UP ON ANY OF HER HEALTH ISSUES. I DON'T MIND PAYING $209 IF IT HELPS MY DOG, BUT I FELT LIKE I DID NOT GET A PROPER DIAGNOSIS.
