Our puppy chewed through the vacuum cord. Our home repair lasted for several months, but eventually gave out and we needed a replacement cord. Even though I didn't ask for rush service, he was able to have the repair completed in an hour. I had him change the filters and belt too. When I picked it up, he told me he was also able to fix a part where a screw had been - the piece had broken off several years ago and I hadn't even mentioned it. He repaired it and now it has a screw again. No charge for this. He was so pleasant to do business with, and I will definitely return here for vacuum repairs and to purchase replacement bags, etc. In addition, if the vacuum ever needs replacing, this will be where I go.

Owning a Ricaar vacuum requires finding specialized stores for bags and belts, but this A-1 Vacuum store makes it worth the effort. I have had them both service the machine and do some quick repairs that allowed me to keep the machine with me. In all cases, the owner is responsive, helpful, and does appropriate work. He is also full of helpful information about the strengths and weaknesses of various kinds of machines. This is the kind of repair facility that makes you remember why big box stores are not the good deal their prices might imply.

Short and sweet--a small plastic piece on my vacuum broke, and I went to A-1 to have it repaired. What transpired over the better part of the day was basically the gentleman found all of the parts needed to repair the vacuum in stock. The amazing part? He didn't charge me for the parts or service! I have always had great service from this provider, and I will quickly recommend A-1 to anyone who asks! Polite, courteous, and extremely helpful.

After looking over the vacuum and determining it wasn't going to last much longer, they recommended spending only minimal money to repair. They offered to simply shorten the cord to get rid of the frayed portion, rather than going to the expense of putting an entire new cord on. They could have easily done a more expensive repair and I never would have thought twice. They did the work while I waited.

The box has not even been opened yet. They would not let me return the vacuum because the gentleman who I assume is the owner said that it is their policy. I would like to be able to return the vacuum and get a refund.

"I do not believe this was our store at 62nd and Allisonville. I think he may have our store confused with another independently owned A-1 Vacuum. We do not let our vacuums go out of the door in unopened boxes. It is our policy to ALWAYS set up our vacuums to make sure they work."

This store is the place to go for vacuum cleaner repairs. I dropped my upright vacuum on the floor, which broke the handle. I dropped it off at A-1 Vacuum and I received a call with a firm quote to repair it. The work was done within a few days. I don't think you can go anywhere else and get repairs done this quickly for this price.

I called one vacuum supply company and they told me they would get back with an estimate in 24 hrs just to have a vacuum cord changed. I took the vacuum into A-1 and he said (with a smile), "I can change that right now if you have a minute." There was also a minor piece missing which he fixed it.

A-1 went over everything with me before performing the work, including the cost. When I picked up my vacuum I didn't recognize it. They did such a good job that I took my mother in-law's Sears vacuum cleaner in for the same work. Needless to say, my mother-in-law is very pleased as well.

THE FIRST TIME THAT I WENT TO PICK UP MY SWEEPER, THEY PROMISED ME THAT IT WOULD BE READY ANYTIME ON TUESDAY. I ASKED THEM IF I WOULD HAVE TO CALL BEFORE HAND, AND THEY TOLD ME NO. SO I MADE A SPECIAL TRIP TO PICK IT UP, AND IT WAS NOT READY AT 2:15PM, SO I EXPRESSED MY DISPLEASURE, AND TOLD THEM THAT I HAD TO MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP TO PICK IT UP AND THAT I WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED A PHONE CALL TO LET ME KNOW THAT THE SWEEPER WAS NOT READY. THEIR RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY HAD TO MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP TO PICK UP A ROLLER BAR FOR THE REPAIRS AND THAT THEY WERE BUSY THAT MORNING. I TOLD THEM THAT THAT WAS THEIR JOB. OH BOY, I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN!

TOM CARROLLS KNOWLEDGE OF THE SYSTEM WAS EXCELLENT, HIS CONCERNS WITH GETTING US THE MOST AND BEST SYSTEM FOR OUR EXISTING HOME LAYOUT WAS THOROUGH WITH RESEARCH DONE WHILE WE WERE PRESENT WITH PHONE CALLS AND ON THE COMPUTER.
