UNITED SERVICES, DKI

FIRST, do your research, then DO NOT waste your time with this company. Grandparents used United Services for fire restoration & the financial up charging in comparison to the amount & quality of their work was NOT comparable and NOT WORTH IT. For example, United Services DKI claimed they cleaned the walls thoroughly with soda blasting + claimed they cleaned other surfaces of the home that proved false. United Services DKI claimed they put sealant to prevent the smell of smoke (the home still smells like smoke). United Services DKI hired an electrical mitigation company (TEK ELECTRIC) who did an equally poor job as United Services DKI. Lastly, the windows they installed they did not trim and cap, while moisture accumulates within the windows causing damage. Once we hired a public adjuster (ALLCITY ADJUSTING) he found United Services writing off the same charges NUMEROUS times and providing us bills for these charges + an attempt to hire a plumber company for a total amount of $15k to replace 3 total pipes within the home WHILE we did our own research & found numerous PLUMBING companies willing to replace ALL piping in the home for the same amount. Correspondences with employees in charge of the job became unprofessional when grandparents became suspicious of the up-charging. Company was terminated part way through due to aforementioned. Save yourself & don't waste your time or money. ALWAYS ALWAYS get second & third opinions & know your rights & read your contracts IN DETAIL. Be informed that you may sub contract your own jobs if you’re willing to make your own phone calls & do the leg work- save your money.

This was a nightmare.  I used a company that showed up the next day and made all kinds of promises of support .  Telling me not to worry.  That feeling slowly went away.  They use your current emotional state to get you to sign the contract then it's a nightmare. 
My suggestion to anyone is take a few days to get your head together.  Do your homework on companies that come to you with promises.  They will say anything to get the business.  I have a handicapped mother and surprise so did the contractor.  To this day I wonder if he really had a ill mother or that was just the icing on the cake.  Get a few estimates before make your choice. You have to stay on top or have someone who can manage them.  GET A DETAIL ITEMIZED CONTRACT !!!!! They like to just have a chuck of money that seems to float around. I have asked for this several times and still have not gotten anything
So I ended up paying $15,000 out of my own pocket to get the house in order and able to move in. 
I was lucky to find a great company that came in and fixed all the crappy work that was done.  You might not be so lucky. So if United comes to your door tell them no thank you ... I wouldn't let them build a dog house ...

The house needed a new roof due to hail damage.  Several neighbors had gotten their roofs replaced for the same reason the prior summer.  After talking to the neighbors, I was expecting a 2 day job.  Because it was hail damage, my insurance company paid for the new roof.  I went with United because they were "preferred" by my insurance company.   The roof looks good and hopefully it will stand the test of time.  I was a bit put off by the lack of professionalism of some (not all) of the crew.  Also, the 2 day job took 4 days.  What bothered me the most was the fact that they left very sharp nails and tacks ALL OVER my driveway (I had just had new tires installed on my car) and ALL OVER my backyard (where my dogs run!).  Also, they put down 4 giant pieces of plywood in my driveway so the garbage dumpster they parked there wouldn't crack my cement.  That was very nice.  However, when the work was completed, they left the 4 giant pieces of plywood in my driveway.  I had to call some relatives over to help me move them. 

They did a good job. They were very prompt in getting the work done. There was no delays. The workman ship was very good as well.

EVERYONE I DEALT WITH WAS HONEST AND KNOWLEDGEABLE SO I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR WORK. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS PRETTY GOOD, AND I AM A HARD PERSON TO MAKE HAPPY.
