Awful! My accident was on 8/24. They said they couldn’t get me in until 9/9. I made sure it was there and they had for 2 weeks before I contacted them to find out what additional damage they found. They said they were submitting for additional damages. They did not contact the insurance company for almost 2 more weeks about additional damages found for a supplement to the original estimate. Allstate completes an additional estimate on 10/7 and a check was sent on 10/8. It is now 10/21 and I have, not one time, received a call about my car. I have called several times and been unable to get any information. I called today at 11:52 and left a voicemail for the manager who never returned my call. What a waste of my time and my insurance companies money!!!! Never will I ever take my car to Skillman again or use any of their services!

I accidently dropped a chair and it bounced off some outdoor furniture cushions and put 2 dents in the front part of my hood.  I love my car and I just didn't like seeing those 2 dents in it.  I took it to Ray Skillman and after the estimator consulting with a body shop tech, he told me I had 2 choices.  One was going to be $350 and they were confident they could remove the dents like they would hail damage or I could have it redone for about $700.  After getting assurances the metal hadn't been compromised and the $350 would work just fine, I had then go ahead.  They had the work done as promised and it looks GREAT!!!!  Gotta Love Skillman's Collision!!!!

My wife had an accident July 3rd in Kokomo IN. The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe with 6500 miles on it arrived at collision center on or about July 7th. I did not get the suv until October 8th - some 90+ days later.

After initial contacts during the first couple weeks about teardown and the finding of additional damage, I did not hear anything for about six weeks. I contacted the office and was told the person handling my repair was out sick. I asked the lady I spoke to if she could check out the status of my repair. She said she would and would call me back. She did not. Called the next day another lady said she would check her computer and it should be ready by a certain date. I then asked her have the person handling the repair to call me. The next day another person called me and said the information I was given was wrong. They were unsure when the car would be ready. Parts had come in damaged. I asked why no one had called me.

Over next several weeks little to no communication from collision center. Finally I sent a email to the General Manager September 15th requesting his help with my repair. Now I started getting weekly updates. No set date given for completely the job. Several times more damage found.

About 10 days ago received a call indicating completion getting close. They wanted to make sure everything is program correctly and detailed to new car specs. Told the week of September 29th that car would be going to final detailing and could be ready October 2nd or 3rd.

The last straw came after waiting all day with check book in hand received a call around 455PM indicating they final more damaged parts while doing final detailing. Parts had been order. I could come and look at the car or take it until the parts came in. I told them to keep the car until car completed.

The next week I found an email address for a Mr. Skillman. Sent him a email asking for his help. Received a call from Collision Center telling me my car was ready.

Picked the suv up October 8th. The suv looked good. I was told I would not be charged my insurance deductible.Looked clean When I got home I noticed the back fold down seats were still down. When I put them up found them covered in dust from the repair. Some new car detailing. Took my wife a half hour to clean.

BOTTOM LINE.....

90+ days to repair my car

Little to no communications until emails sent to General Manager and Mr Skillman

Rental car expenses not covered by insurance

Calls not returned

Wrong information given

Wife had to finish detailing the car.

Will I go back? Unsure at this time. I have a Hyundai and the collision center is close to house. Will have to think long and hard about this.

DO NOT GO HERE! It was horrible, I would never take my car back there or recommend it to anyone I cared about. The quality of the work was sloppy and not done correctly. The way that the car was taped before it was painted was very sloppy and resulted in white paint being all over black parts of my car. There were also spots on the car that were missing the topcoat of paint (it looked matte and not shiny). I ended up twice taking the car back and asking them to repair the sloppy work and both times received the car back with additional sloppy work. I finally just gave up and took my car elsewhere to get the job done right (and had double the amount).

The repair is great. It has been a couple months now and there's still no sign of the scratch they repaired. Also they noticed a few scratches on the car bumper near the trunk. They were able to touch these up too. It looks great and I feel better that the body is protected from rust.

It went very well. My A/C wasn't working properly and my car would periodically just die out while at a stop. I took it to Ray Skillman. They kept my car for several days. They didn't want me to take it before it was fixed. It wasn't about money, it was about customer satisfaction and they succeeded. They put me in one of their 2013 cars the entire time. They conversed with me every time they took my car out on the road to let me know the status of things.
I have an '02 Sable a little over 100,000 miles, so things start to go out, but the guys at Skillman have kept me on the road safely.
They have done my catalytic converter, serpentine belt and hub bearings.
The service at Ray Skillman Hyundai Westside Auto Mall is excellent.

I can tell you that I think that the car we bought from them three years ago saved my life because I was hit by a drunk driver on the interstate in 2011 and I'm here today because that car was a good car and it was a sturdy car. They had to cut me out of the car, but the door on the driver's side was so well structured that it didn't come all the way in on me. We will keep going back there to get our cars because it seems like we picked a good one - with their help! And, after the accident we took the car to Ray Skillman Collision Service because as we'd purchased the car from Ray Skillman we wanted it repaired by them, because we knew we'd get the appropriate parts and so forth. The quality of the work was so good that you would never know it had been hit. My car was hit on the driver's side so most of the damage was on the driver's side. Ray Skillman Collision Center had to put new parts in and repaint it. It needed new windows and windshield. The people were wonderful to work with. The supervisor who first met with us was very good at keeping us abreast of what was going on with the car. He was very responsive when I told him I could not be without a car. The writing was on the wall that they were going to have the car for a while, because there were lots of other cars, but when you're a customer, your car is what matters! So when my insurance ran out on the rental car they had supplied, I probably went a week or two without a car thinking maybe my car would be ready, and then I called and I told them this wasn't acceptable and I really needed to have transportation. I have other things I need to do, and I need a car. He said "No problem, you come down today and we'll give you a car." They let me keep it and they didn't charge me anything for it. The people were excellent and either through e-mail or phone calls they kept me up to date as to what was going on. They were very apologetic about the time it was taking to do it. A lot of that was waiting for parts - and sometimes it was waiting for our insurance people to get back with them when they had to add additional things, and they had to have approval for that before they could go forward. So I understood that, but I still really wanted my car! In hindsight I can now realize that there were other consequences going on that they had no control over. I think anybody who would go down there would get good service and good response time from the people themselves keeping you abreast of what is going on and what is happening with the car situation. It has been a really good experience with Ray Skillman as a whole.

Set up an appointment, they do what they said and did not try to charge you for unnecessary work. They finished in 40 minutes and I was able to do work when I waited (have free wireless).

STAY AWAY, DO NOT GO HERE!
I was in an accident and had some body work that needed to be done on the front and side of my car. The first time I went to pick my car up I was extremely upset. They had re-painted my mirror and I painted my white car paint about an inch and a half onto the black plastic that held my mirror to my car. It looked like a child had taped off the car before it was painted, I think I could have done a better job with my eyes closed. If anyone had looked at the car from 10 feet away they would have seen this, so I was surprised that they car was even presented to me in this condition. With this being the first incident I explained the issue and they fixed it.
After going to re-pick up my car for the second time I looked over it and saw another place on the bumper that was left unpainted. This time I was dealing with the manager and pointed it out to him. Yet again I had to get a loaner car and leave my car there for a few days. THIRD time I go to pick up my car, again dealing with the manager there was more places on the bumper was unpainted. This had been going on for over 2 weeks with all of the repainting and at this point I just wanted my car back. The manager wanted to wait until after the weekend to fix so he said he would call me on Monday. The next week past with no call so I called him and left a message. He never returned my call and I eventually just gave up. I figured if they couldn't get it right after 3 tries, why go through the hassle of doing it again.
I ended up going somewhere else and have to pay for the whole thing to be re-done out of my pocket because my insurance wouldn't pay to have the job done twice (which I don't blame them).
I will no longer take my car to any Ray Skillman for any service and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. I suggest going anywhere but here because it is nothing but a headache and sloppy work.

They were courteous and timely in their interactions with me. They did excellent work. There is no residual sign of damage. They worked directly with the insurance company so that I simply paid the deductible, and they handled the rest. I thought they were professional and friendly. No complaints.

I purchased my vehicle from Ray Skillman in Greenwood so I chose to take it to their collision center for repairs. I was hit in a parking lot by a co-worker who went ahead and paid for the damages out of pocket. I printed off a coupon from Angie's List for services and even though the coupon was apparently misprinted on the website, Ray Skillman went ahead and honored it. I thought that was really nice. They did an amazing job and got my car back to me in the time they quoted me and they also cleaned my car for me. I was very impressed with both the staff and the quality of services I received at Ray Skillman. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I have purchased my last 2 cars from Ray Skillman and I always use both their Service center and their Collision center any time I need my car repaired. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Body shop manager met me personally. He estimated damage. Upon agreement, repair was authorized. Service adviser contacted me to advise cause of problem I had noticed and repair needed and cost. All repairs were authorized and completed. I was given a ride home when car dropped off and picked up when repair completed. Everything was perfect!
