They were supposed to be selling my cousin's house.  They were punctual at first with appointments, but shortly after she moved to North Carolina her realtor developed breast cancer, and rather than have another realtor take her place she turned, the house to a rental and began excepting down payment and monthly rent.  The realtor would take her fees off the top and was supposed to be sending the rest direct repost to my cousin's bank account. Direct deposits became later and later, even when rent as paid on time. Being from a family hit hard from cancer, my cousin was patient wih the realtor and didn't make demands that she give up he responsibilities and only income from the rental of he home, but just try getting payments turned I've more quickly. Then my cousin's father died of cancer and my cousin moved back into her home to be near family. That's when all communications with her realtor really had problems. Even though she was done with treatments and back to full time work, the realtor did not produce final month payment and security deposit owed to my cousin according to their contract. The company did not stand by their name and return the final refund back to my cousin either. Every phone call and inquiry was a circus of transfers without any production of assistance and refund. Every visit to the office my cousin was told the realtor was unavailable. My cousin suffered a loss of just under $1200.00 in last rent and security deposit paid by rentor.
