Dr. Tracey Vinson is highly knowledgeable, truly honest, and very kind! She has gone "above and beyond" many times for our rescued dog. He is very fearful, yet she knows how to enter the room and give him a minute to relax before she approaches him - the little things mean a lot! She always takes time to explain each situation and offer treatment options. Also worth noting: This is a private practice so you WON'T have an "assistant" come into the room before the vet who tries to sell you all kinds of "recommended" services (ie: full blood panel on a healthy dog, etc). This is how most of the chain vet clinics operate today - to maximize profits. At Academy Animal Hospital, you will only pay for the services your vet believes are necessary. (We have heard Dr. Morgan is excellent also). ACA has a network of specialists available in the event your pet needs dermatology, imaging, surgery, etc. Dr. Vinson is an expert in cancer, which seems to be a factor for so many dogs today, including ours. We know she will provide the best care and quality of life for him. Finally, we have lived on the Southside of Indy for 26 years and have tried many vets/practices. None provide the expertise, reasonable cost, and compassion of Dr. Vinson and Academy Animal Hospital.

I had been taking my dog there for a couple years but decided to change due to every time I took her, they would always suggested procedures or tests that were expensive & unnecessary.

I received the best care possible. The vet was very compassionate and did everything in her power to help. Unfortunately, I ended up having to put my baby down. Since then, March 2016, I have switched to this veterinarian/Acadamy Animal Hospital for my other Westie.

The vet was AMAZING! I am beyond happy my old vet gave us crap service on the phone because my next call and we landed a winner! Proud to call her my new vet!

Great! I started using them about a year ago but my mother used them longer. They are caring and do good work.Their prices are much better than other veterinarians around.

We really liked her.  She was very friendly and professional.  She answered questions and even my cat wasn't upset.  It is homey and the ladies at the desk were very friendly.

Dr. Morgan and all the staff are great to work with.  I have two large dogs who are very friendly but are not a big fan of the vaccinations and they handle them very well.  I have been using them for a few years now and started going to them as we took our family dog to him when I was growing up.  He is great veterinarian and the entire staff are very caring and provide excellent service.  I will definitely continue to use Dr. Morgan and Academy Animal Hospital for any veterinarian needs.

Excellent. Same wonder caring guy as always. He loves animals and it shows in is compassion for those he treats as a vet. He always takes time to listen to your concerns and follows up on treatment as well. The staff was very friendly, got us an appointment right away and was very helpful with directions.

Had a wonderful first visit for my English bulldog. Staff extremely nice and caring to my pet. I was not forced into unnecessary charges for my pet. They truly want to do best for your pet and within your budget. I chose this vet based on the reviews, and extremely pleased! The vet also provided additional information on care for my particular breed, and took the time to answer all my questions.

Dr. Vincent was very informative and sympathetic towards my dilemma. My husband had been laid off and I had a sick cat that was suffering from several tumors and pretty much in his end days. He was very much a part of our family and loved dearly. She explained how we could keep him comfortable and gave me options as to what we could do according to not only what I could afford, but what would be best for him. She was without a doubt the most caring provider I have ever seen.

They have well managed my cat's condition. I've been very happy with them and I've been using them for about 5-6 years. They have taken pains to work her into the schedule when it's an urgent matter and see her the same day. Usually they can see her within a couple days if it's not urgent, so they are very responsive. The office staff is very nice and they have grooming facilities and board patients. The doctors have a very good bedside manner with pets. They really love animals!

Two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment with the provider to have my 1 year old Newfoundland groomed. The grooming service came highly recommended both through Angie's List and through a person friend. The person I spoke to on the phone repeatedly questioned me and my ability to take care of my dog. I made the appointment even though I was uncomfortable with how the person on the phone questioned me as I had been told they were excellent. I figured they might question everyone and in that case it was good service and care for the animals. My mistake. I explained that my dog has never been groomed before and since they offer sedation I thought as did my current vet this would be a good option since my dog is 130 lbs. The appointment was supposed to be on December 2nd. I received a call today cancelling my appointment due to my dog being too large. I have never heard of this. They are supposed to be a vet office with grooming service attached. Are they only going to groom small dogs? I asked the person who called why they could not have told me this two weeks ago when I made the appointment. The response was that the vet had been out of the office for two weeks and then decided that a newfoundland was too large to groom. From what I can see they have more than one vet which still does not answer the question as to why they cancelled the appointment. Thank goodness I did not transfer my vet care to this office as I was planning to do if the grooming went well. Beware if you have a large dog they are not friendly towards them!

It went well. My cat was very stressed on the way there, as usual, but seemed very comfortable with his vet. Everything was explained to me in great detail. I felt like the vet was really paying attention to us and was not rushing us out of the exam room, even though I think we were the last appointment for the day. He was very caring and my cat could tell. :)

It was fine. Dr. Morgan is a nice guy, provides a friendly service and does a good job. He cares about your pet. We go there once a year.

They are excellent. For one thing, I've been going to them for 20 years and they have taken appropriate care of all the animals that I've taken there. We've had cats and dogs throughout the years and I feel like that is where they get the best care. One of the doctors that I always request is called Dr. Vincent, she's one of the owners of Academy, and she is friendly, competent, swift, I guess you would say timely, and I'm a nurse so I kind of evaluate them, even though they're animal doctors I would evaluate them like I would any regular doctor. She just strikes me as a woman who gives clear explanations, doesn't over medicate and that kind of thing. As far as I can tell their charges are comparable with any other veterinarians'. I don't feel like I'm overcharged. I think it's a very trustworthy place to go.

I've been using Dave Morgan for over twenty years. He's the owner of Academy and the lead vet. He cares, he's friendly, his prices are on par with everybody else and this is the second dog he's worked on for me. He'll continue working on all the animals that I own.

I think they are very friendly. I choose that particular one because I had gone on Angie's List and the ratings were good and a lot of golden retriever and veterinarians there also has one. I would recommend them. They seem knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful.
