The workers were great! The estimate process was awesome and they provided a few extra rooms in the estimate so we can budget for our next renovations. The 1960s oak floors had been covered by carpets for over 20 years, so they needed to be refinished. Cox flooring did an amazing job and was a great price. I would recommend them to anyone! The price input doesn't work on the new iOS9,but it was about $375.

Cox Hardwood Flooring first refinished hardwood floors for me in January, 2015.  I got estimates from three providers and chose Cox because of their lower price on repair work I needed, their competitive price on refinishing, and especially because of their responsiveness and obvious dedication to their work.  At that time they refinished the floors in my kitchen, family room, and master bedroom.  The results were truly outstanding, so this month I had them come back and refinish the floors in the living room, a hallway, and another bedroom.  Again, the results are beautiful.  This time, Mark Eads, co-owner of the company with his wife, Teresa,also  repaired three scraped places on my kitchen floor at no additional cost.  The scrapes occurred when I had a painting crew work in April, 2015. 
Teresa Eads handles the office part of the business.  She returns phone call promptly, answers questions knowledgeably, and follows up on estimates and appointments efficiently via e-mail.  Teresa's father, Arvil Cox, started the company. 
They stick to their scheduled work dates and arrive promptly.  Mark and his crew do not take breaks.  They are professional craftsmen who take pride in doing excellent work.  I would not consider any other company for work on my hardwood floors.

Wonderful experience! Free estimate was done promptly and that discussion led me to another provider of hardwood flooring (where I ended up buying - Prosource of Indianapolis - Cox does not do pick-up of flooring but I had a small enough job that I was able to work out an alternative.) It was my first time doing a flooring install and Mark & his wife Teresa were very responsive with all of my questions along the way. The gentleman who sold me the flooring said I had the best team in the state scheduled to take care of me.
As mentioned, I handled all the tear-out and prep work, as I had a budget to stick to. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day and got to work. I was at work so I'm not sure when they finished up but I came home to beautiful floors! I couldn't even tell they had been to my house as far as mess goes. They used a table saw on my front porch and it was all swept up. 
I couldn't have asked for a better first new flooring experience. I was lucky to have a small enough job that they could work me in earlier than Dec, which was another huge bonus for me.

Scheduling and on-site proposal were done promptly and courteously.  The crew returned as planned and did a fine job.  There was practically no dust in the house from the sanding. The final finish job is excellent.  It was obvious that they really knew the trade.  The price was right.  It was a pleasure to have them here.  I will have them back.

We have used Cox Hardwood Flooring before, so we knew the quality was excellent.  However, equally important is the quality of customer service that you can count on.  Mark and his crew are a joy to work with; they do high quality work and are very responsive to any questions you may have.  They are prompt -- arriving when promised and clean up every day.  They are such hard workers!  Teresa (Mark's wife) schedules and invoices the jobs and responds quickly and efficiently to email questions.  We would HIGHLY recommend Cox Hardwood Flooring for both quality and fair price!

The estimate was exactly what was charged. The estimator was timely. The employees showed up right when they said they would and did an excellent job on our floors. They were professional and trustworthy. Would use them again.

They did a tremendous job, timely and professional, first-quality work.  Have received several compliments on the floors eve since.  Had to book them well in advanced, but it was absolutely worth the wait.  Cannot recommend them highly enough!

I could not be happier with the experience. Mark and Teresa, the owners, are great people to work with. When I called in late spring they were already booked out until August. Mark came out and measured and a day or so later Teresa emailed a detailed estimate. A week before the install they delivered the new hardwood to be installed in our entry way and drop off stain samples. We made arrangements to be out of the house during the job due to the fumes and having 2 dogs as well. Mark and his crew began work on Wednesday and were finished by Friday afternoon. Our floors look brand new.

Mark came over and quoted a very fair price for the job. We liked that he was an independent owner with over 30 years experience. The job took 4 days, and started and finished on time. The results were outstanding. The new floor matched the existing one beautifully. On Mark's recommendation, we went with a natural finish and a satin poly to minimize visible scratches from our 90 lb dog. We are so glad we did- you can't see any scratches from daily use. We are happy with every decision we made on that project. Cox Flooring was great to work with.

I couldn't recommend Mark and his team more.  Mark has seen it all when i comes to flooring and did an outstanding job.  He showed up on time for the estimating process and the entire team showed up on time for each day of installation.  Cleaned up and treated my home as if it was theirs.
Yes, he's busy and you'll likely need to wait a couple of months but there's a reason for that and it's called professionalism and workmanship.  My suggestion would be to get on his calendar first and then go identify and source the flooring.  I've found that there's a ton of margin in hardwood flooring prices and if you do a little research you can save thousands.
You may be able to find people as good but you won't find better!

This individual is a stand up person with integrity and old world values. USE HIM He walked around, assessed the situation, wasn't critical of the previous work but did recognize things weren't done to quality standards. He went to his truck and came back with material to fill the nails holes, showed me how to do it and fixed the wood boards popping up as well as some trim work and transition boards.  Anyone who is fortunate enough to work with him will be getting a person of the highest standards  and ethics.

AMAZING JOB - our floors are new again!  We're the 3rd owner of the home and they were very beat up.  Can't believe these are the same floors!  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  Few spots we wanted touched up and they came back for no charge and resolved the issue.  AMAZING.

You could not ask for a more perfect experience.  We gave them the keys to our house and went on vacation.  When we returned we have beautiful floors.  The dust management was amazing.  Yes there was some but mostly in the rooms where the floors were refinished and even there it was minimal.  Great company and people to work with.

I selected 3 Angie's list award winners for bids.  They were neither the highest nor the lowest, but  selected hem based on reviewes and personality during his estimate.  He was booked out a few weeks, but glad I waited for him. Real down to earth folks (his crew too). Made sure to be  on the job early and stayed to the end.  Floors look great.

They did five rooms. We bought the wood ourselves. They told us not to buy the wood from them and to go to like Menards or someplace else and get it because it would be cheaper. So, they were very good about that. The cost was about $6,000 and the wood was $4,000 for a total of $10,000. They were just excellent. They came in and worked around our schedule. They gave us recommendations or suggestions like telling us not to buy the wood from them directly, to go out and get it someplace else and they would install it for us. They were just very helpful, courteous, and punctual. They are great. They were recommended to us. We went out and look and they are on Angie’s List and I know they gave us an Angie’s List discount. It was like 5% off of the total of their labor. We would use them again if we needed them.

I do not write reviews often. We contacted Cox Hardwood Flooring to have our kitchen hardwoods refinished. 400 square feet. We were put on a two month wait list .
It was certainly worth the wait. We have a twenty year old home with very thin veneer wood floor in kitchen that was very worn.
I had two people give estimates that would not even refinish the floor because the wood was thin and so worn.

Cox was able to move us up about a month after I asked, so definitely a plus.
The crew was punctual and patient with myself and children. It took two half days to finish.
The floors looked brand new when they were finished. They looked great and made our entire
Kitchen look so much better. Everyone including our realtor thought it was a new floor! We are just putting the home for sale
And I wish we would have refinished the floors sooner!
