WAL-MART

I am disabled, so shopping is difficult for me, particularly w/o family and sparse WalMart associates to help me. Therefore, I I have been trying to get as many food items available for online purchase along with all heavy and/or bulky items bought ahead for the winter months...in case we have another snowy, very cold, icy winter like winter 2013/2014 was for us in the Midwest. Some items I order come packaged and shipped so nicely. However, one of the last boxes rec'd was packed in a horrible fashion with heavy canned items along with chips and cookies (that can easily be crushed) all in one huge box w/o even the help of filler paper to assist items from be jostled during shipment. When this box in question arrived, two bags of chips were split open...which left a greasy film on many other items in the box. Two additional bags of chips that were buried underneath canned food items and subsequently "crumbs" upon receipt. Also, 4 bags of cookies were crumbs having been in the same box as the canned items, too. I SENT AN EMAIL TO WALMART. I didn't even ask for a refund or credit. I wasn't happy, but i also wasn't going to make a separate trip to the store, wait in line, explain to a service desk clerk, walk the store to regather items i had rec'd damaged, then stand in the service desk line again to get damaged items credited to me, etc.etc. I figured i'd be out my approx. $28. Too my surprise, Walmart promptly reshipped, w/o any charge, the damaged, unsealed, crushed items. I had previously ordered chips online and knew from experience, i could receive them in decent, edible condition. I don't know what happened to make someone pack canned items in the same box as delicate items....but i am simply happy for the prompt handling of this matter to my satisfaction.
please note...the specific store listed is NOT where the items were shipped from. the items were shipped for one of walmart's vast distribution centers across the US....but when making a review for "online purchases", i did not see an option to select from.

It took about 3 hours. One staff member was very short with me. Other than that, it was fine for what they did.

They did not have an oil filter to fit my car. They wanted me to go to Auto Zone, buy one, and bring it back to them!

They were really knowledgeable and friendly. I wasn't aware of many of the new technologies that exam your eyes. They were good at helping me understand their purpose and how they work.

The oil change was done properly and without extra charges.

Wal-Mart did a great job.
