 + -1 moreOut of the three screens they worked on I've had to take two of them back because of issues. One of them they rescreened so tight that it didn't fit the window anymore and it fell out. They are fixing it right now and I will get it back tommorrow.

 + 3 moreEXCELLENT !! EXCELLENT !! EXCELLENT !! I cannot remember all their wonderful employees - so I will mention what I can remember : Grey Tweed (manager), John, Brad, Lindy, Rusty, Scott, Burt, etc. And no, my relatives have not worked there. I have been a long-going customer of theirs for 20 years now. They have been VERY, VERY patient with me on my lack of skill on how to repair something in my home. But they have come through each and every time with the right answers.
Description of Work: This is the BEST hardware store to go to in the Town of Fishers. They have been here for almost twenty years. The customer service really makes this store stand out. What WONDERFUL employees you have !! I can come in with any kind of problem, and I can be shown how to fix it. And they are SO patient with me - (for one who knows very little on how to fix something). You don't need to buy screws, nuts, bolts, etc. in packages, because they will sell them to you individually. They do screening, door replacement, windows, lighting, kitchen cabinets, gardening, - just to name a few of the services they offer. If they do not have the item in their store, they are more than happy to order it for you. Their follow-up service is also awesome. I cannot say enough good things about this company, their employees, and their hard work in building up their clientele (since the 20 years they have been open). There is always someone to greet you at the door, and always someone to ask you if you need any help (hard to find a store like this in this time & age).It definitely reminds me of the "old hardware" stores of long ago, that placed their emphasis on customer service.

 + -1 moreCalled Sunday, Mike returned my call Monday morning and was able to come out immediately. Rekeyed 7 locks with same key. I had called a couple other lock smiths located very close to us in Noblesville and never received a return call. We were happy with the service from initial call to completion of work and felt pricing was very fair.

They got the husband of one of their staff to deliver it to me when no delivery person was available. Now that's service! They are on time and great to deal with.

Description of Work: I bought paint and plumbing parts. As always, I have been able to get immediate help from people that know paint and hardware. The employee took me right to the part I needed and described to me the best way to install the part. It worked as he said.

Description of Work: Replaced 5 exterior door locks with all locks keyed the same. One of the deadbolt locks was installed into a door that did not already have that type of lock in it.

 + 2 moreI also had them install a water heater. The plummer they recommended was super. They were on time, efficient, cleaned up, and met the original cost estimate.
Description of Work: Upon ordering a new washer and dryer, we decided to repaint our laundry room. Of course small jobs often become big ones. Much of the drywall needed to be repaired and Rusty gave us some great suggestions and even gave us a quart of Kilz to help complete the project. I love going to this store as I am often the person sent on a hunt to find specific things. Everyone here is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and all the service comes with a smile. It is true that you may pay a few cents more (not much though, they are quite competitive) but it is worth it if you can get everything you need and the know-how to do it with just one stop. Thank you Do-It Center!!

 + -1 moreWe dropped the screens off on Saturday morning to be re-screened. The help was very polite and helpful. We were told it would be approximately ten working days for completion. We were pleasantly surprised to get a call on the next Monday that they were done. Two day turn-over! That was great! The screens look like new.

 + -1 moreThe Fisher's Do-It Center had only a 2 week wait for screen repair. They ended up replacing the frame entirely. The cost was exactly what the estimate was. They called us when the screen was ready. In addition, we were given help in selecting tools for another job, killing mold, and other questions that came up. Very helpful people.

THE LARGER HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES WILL ALWAYS BE LESS EXPENSIVE, BUT YOU PAY FOR AND RECEIVE SUPERIOR SERVICE WHERE SOMEONE IS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP. IN THIS INSTANCE I WAS FIXING A CEILING AND THEY GAVE ME A VERY GOOD SUGGESTION AS MY METHOD WAS NOT THE MOST EFFICIENT NOR LOOK THE BEST. IT IS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY TO SHOP HERE
