This was a rebuild of a rotted porch on a 150-year-old house. Adam did a great job listening, assessing, advising, and communicating. His estimate was fair and he even allowed me to procure spindles and railings and paint them in advance, saving me money and him time. The job was done as estimated and on time, and clean up was complete. With an old house there are many surprises and challenges with a job like this. He solved every one of them in an optimal way. We are very pleased with the outcome. It transformed the look of the house and my neighbors were duly impressed, too, enough to ask for his contact info. We will hire him again for our next project.

EXCELLENT! Adam is knowledgeable, experienced, efficient, professional, well priced, and versatile. I’m very happy to have met him and I already have him working on a new estimate to improve the electrical wiring in my attic before adding flooring up there. I saved A LOT of money on the spigot compared to hiring a plumbing company. He is also working up an estimate for an outdoor drain.

My pro/con list is below from my observations: Pro: 1. Punctual - Arrived several minutes prior to the job 2. Professional communication 3. Focused on the task at hand with minimal breaks and phone calls Con: 1. He did not complete all the installations as agreed 2. Still charged us the full quoted rate , even though he only completed 3 installs. 3. He left behind ceiling debris for us to clean up 4. Brought his son to the job without prior disclosure. I believe it is always courteous to share how many person(s) will arrive and perform the task during an agreed timeframe. I was worried about a liability issue had his son got hurt helping him complete task. Overall, the work was good, however I'm just a little disappointed with the commitment to our agreement.

"Hi! I’m so sorry you are disappointed. I understand that we agreed to have 2 fans and 2 lights to be installed. As I mentioned in my communication to you, I estimated three hours of work and also cautioned you that I was not certain of the exact types of lights you had and the complexity of them. After arriving and working diligently for the agreed upon timeframe, I was unable to complete the final installation. We discussed this and planned to finish the install another day. The rate discussed was for the timeframe of three hours as estimated. I would have been happy to work with you if you would have mentioned this concern when we spoke. I do want to mention as well that I am fully insured (liability) and that my son is an 18 year old adult. He is my assistant and travels to all jobs with me. It is common for many professional handymen and contractors to have an assistant and it isn’t common to discuss that in advance. I appreciate your thoughts on this and will consider doing so in the future."

It was great! We changed our dining room to a bedroom, so we added walls, a door and barn doors! It turned out beautiful! I would definitely recommend Adam again and will use him in the future. I had problems getting the materials from the store and he went to the store for me and accomplished what I could not! Great, great service!!!
