Crew Carwash

I took my 2000 Ford Mustang to Crew Carwash on Sunday November 7, 2021. The car went through the carwash and came out with a haze on the paint that wasn’t present before entering the car wash. The car is kept in the garage and only comes out for the occasional drive. I showed the attendant at the carwash and he agreed the haze was present. He offered to “mop” the body of the car and send it through the carwash again. I agreed and that’s what we did. This time the car came out with the same haze on the body but this time we could see the brush strokes from the mop on the car. I complained again and the attendant suggested trying the same thing again. I agreed and we ran the car through again which produced the same results. I showed the attendant and I submitted a claim. On Thursday November 11th I received an email response from Crew saying they were sorry about the results of the wash, but said they do not warrant issues on cars older than 15 years old. The email suggested the pictures taken at the time of submitting the claim looked like the paint on the car was oxidized. I called the Crew customer service to complain about the assessment. I explained that the car is only kept in the garage, and that it has only been hand washed through it’s entire existence. I said the paint was not oxidized. The Crew representative basically said there was nothing Crew would do to resolve the issue. He also suggested that I check with my insurance to see what can be done. I think Crew should pay to have the haze professionally removed from the paint of the car.
