 + -1 moreNo complaints. He was always true to his word and true to his price. He never tries to push you beyond what you want to spend. I do know that, like most builders, many skilled workers left the field during the housing crash and I do not know how that effects him now.
Description of Work: He built our home 15 years ago. He added on a covered back porch 3 years ago, firepit, waterfall. He added on another garage two years ago. He will oversee our kitchen remodled this spring.

 + -1 moreOverall, the job went extremely well. One of David's strengths is his creativity and ability to help you take a vague vision, crystallize it and execute it. He turned our very cold contemporary house into a warn inviting home for which we have received many, many compliments. David patiently works with you as you sort through the many decisions required, providing innovative solutions and sound advice. His sub-contractors are also excellent and dependable.
Description of Work: Comprehensive update to our newly purchased 80s home from a very plain contemporary look to a "rustic elegant" look. Basic updates included new kitchen cabinets, window frames, doors and hardware, and molding. We replaced a drywall-wrapped staircase with wrought iron spindles and wood handrails and did the same on the 2nd story hallway that is visible from the main level. We added wood beams to our vaulted great room ceiling and to dining room ceiling and added a custom built entertainment unit to the basement. We replaced old fireplace with floor to ceiling one made of river rock. We enlarged an opening in the wall between our kitchen and great room and framed in rustic wood. Finally, replaced carpet and painted most rooms.

Description of Work: Mr. Morton built our home in 1999. He met his promised deadlines, had his own crews, and we stayed within our budget. He did NOT try to push us in any price range. He respected what we wanted and delivered beyond our expectations. In 2007 an emergency situation required us transforming our office and mud room into a handicap facility for an individual using a wheel chair. He made it a priority and completed it within 40 days. All the needs of the individual were met, making a terrible situation bearable. Since that time we have had him add on a covered porch with pavers, fire pit, small waterfall, and a utility garage. He is honest, has integrity, and is a faith filled father and husband. If you build a home or remodel without interviewing Mr. Morton you have missed a treasure.

 + -1 moreTHEY MADE BAD SUGGESTIONS AND ABANDONED THE JOB. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO REFINISH THE BASEMENT FOR US. WE SIGNED A CONTRACT AND THEY JUST STOPPED SHOWING UP.

 + -1 moreAFTER RECEIVING NO PHONE CALL, WE CALLED ON 3/4/02 AND LEFT THREE MESSAGES DURING THE DAY. THE CALLS WERE NEVER RETURNED AND NO ONE MADE CONTACT WITH US. WE ARE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR LACK OF RESPONSE. THEY HAVE COST US OVER FOUR WEEKS OF TIME IN PREPARATION FOR OUR REMODELING PROJECT. WE HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH SOMEONE WHO CONTINUALLY SAID THEY WERE INTERESTED IN OUR PROJECT AND THEN LEFT US WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION AS TO WHY THEY WERE NO LONGER INTERESTED. THIS IS EXTREMELY POOR BUSINESS FOR SOMEONE WHO PROFESSES TO BE A REPUTABLE BUILDER.
Description of Work: MET WITH THEM ON FEBRUARY 15, 2002. THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE TWO WEEKS TO PREPARE THEIR COST ESTIMATE AND THEY WOULD GET BACK TO US DURING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 28TH
