Below is the email I sent to their website: I am writing this email to share the poor service I experienced at your Meridian location. I have recently moved to the north-side and was looking for a new dry cleaner. About a month ago i walked in your store and was greeted by a very polite man who won me over with his service. Two weeks ago, I returned for my second trip. I work downtown and take graduate classes in the evening, so i find it difficult to be available during store hours. I dropped my bag in the 24-hr slot and as the nice man had told me, i would be contacted once my order was ready. I began to get concerned that my work clothes had gotten lost or something had happened since it was my first time using this system, and i had not been contacted. Yesterday Morning, two weeks from the day i dropped my order off, i called and spoke with Amanda Hamby, the store manager. I explained my situation and she responded by saying they had a new employee and she did not usually close and had forgotten to notify me. I'm not sure how an order can go unnoticed for days ,but I was courteous and let her know I would be by today to pick it up. This was the first sign that attention to detail is not high on the values of the store's employee. This evening, i skipped class in order to pick up my clothes (that I had been needing for work) and met Jennifer, the new employee. I presented a coupon for $15 dollars off my $70 dollar order and at that time noticed the coupon had to be presented at the time of drop off. The coupon was given to me as a new customer, and i was not used to this policy, and was not aware of its fine print. I asked Jennifer if there was any way I could still use it because I had an expensive order and it was my first time going through the drop-off system (not to mention was left waiting for two weeks). She said since I didn't present the coupon initially, she could not use it. Shocked by the inflexibility of the store, especially after they had neglected to notify me when my order was ready, I asked to speak with the manager. She called and the manager (Amanda Hamby) did not answer. She called another store and was also unable to reach any employees. After being told there was nothing she could do, I asked for the manager's contact information. Jennifer then handed me a card. I arrived home and pulled out the card, and noticed that it only had the store number and a generic email. I called the store and asked Jennifer how I was supposed to reach the manager through that card- given that there was no phone number or email. She said she could not help me, that was all she had available to her. I am deeply disappointed by my experience and plan to write a review about it on Angie's list. I am emaling the "generic" email since i am unable to reach anyone who can actually provide "customer service". As a person who faces the importance of customer satisfaction on a daily basis, I am surprised that a company with such a reputable name and who prides itself on "VIP service" can treat a customer this way. Needless to say, I paid my $70, and do not plan to return. I will make sure my friends and family are aware of the poor attention to customer satisfaction and the inflexibilty of its employees.
