They were very good, They were clean, professional and they were able to solve my problem with cost in mind. I felt the price was reasonable.

They were willing to pay the bill. They came out and fixed it, but it was just a connection they had created. Thankfully, I was getting the house painted. They suggested to reimburse me. They are great. We will keep them on continuously.

It was necessary to remove the blower to access and remove a metal piece which had fallen inside. I was amazed at how quickly the service man had the blower out. He showed me the offending piece of metal, which was appreciated. He put the system back together just as quickly as he had disassembled it. Clearly this man was experienced, as he worked both quickly and professionally. The service man showed up at our house within an hour of my request and put covers over his shoes before he came inside, to keep our floors clean. I will definitely call Appel again if I need additional work done.

Came out promptly to do an estimate when our air conditioner went out. I called them to do a 'sanity check' on an estimate we got from another company; when they came out they did all sorts of measuring and counting of registers that the other company did not do and ended up being able to determine that we could have a much smaller air conditioner than the other company recommended, as well as not needing to replace the furnace which the other company recommended to help us with a problem we have heating and cooling our upstairs. The other company quoted us over $10K, and through the measurements and analysis Appel did we saved well over 1/2 what the first company estimated. Appel took their time to find the right solution for us, also taking into account that we had a specific brand we wanted to use due to a discount we receive through our employer. The first company really wouldn't listen to us when we said we wanted to use Trane; they really pushed and pushed the brand they obviously rep'ed for. Appel told us another brand they would recommend for even greater energy savings, but understood our situation and supported it. Another thing I was happy about is it was starting to get very hot and we have a baby, and when the decision was finally made to use them they switched an appointment with a less-pressing issue (that client had working A/C) to get our A/C fixed more quickly so the baby wouldn't have to suffer in the heat. I put a 'B' for responsiveness because while they were responsive, there were a couple of times where I found it hard to reach my contact. He was good at returning my phone calls eventually, but I was wanting to get things moving quickly since I knew hot weather was coming, and while he did respond there were times when I felt he was slower to respond than I would have liked. My contact was very thorough and tried to explain things so I could understand them. I felt like the first company we called hid behind a lot of industry terms that a common non-A/C professional would not understand. Ken Appel however took his time with me and tried to help me understand and not confuse me. And as far as the furnace replacement, we have been using the new A/C for 6 weeks or so and the upstairs is much, much cooler. Indeed, there was no need to replace the furnace or have a larger A/C unit. Ken has a lot of years of experience, and he is out to get your business by selling you exactly what you need and no more. And for that I trust and recommend him.

They are extremely reliable. They are fair and honest. The service is great. Steve is very knowledgeable. We will get our new unit through them.

They said it would be a day or a day in a half before they would be able to do the job, but they had a cancellation so was able to do it sooner. hey gave me an estimate, which was right on.

The heat pump went out and we called Appeal to fix it. It turned out to just be a clogged drain. They came out on a Sunday within an hour and it was fixed within 5 minutes of arrival.

I have been using their services for about seven years. We like the guy that comes out and his name is Juan and we ask for him. They will call and remind me that it is time to inspect our units.

The experience was very good. There was no pressure to have it done. We were the ones that decided to do it. We did have a maintenance contract with them. We have done business with them for about 14 years and have always been very happy with their service.

I had a few estimates to choose from, and they seemed more interested in telling me what his employees would get a bonus on instead of what I was going to get out of it. He spent a lot of time with me explaining everything, but I felt that he didn't have the brand of equipment that I was most interested in (I wanted Trane, he had American Standard). I have a warranty with the company that I chose, so I would not need to use Appel in the future.
