At C&J Well Co. Service, Pumps, & Drilling, we provide Central Indiana with state-of-the-art well and geothermal drilling and a full-service maintenance team. In addition to drilling, we perform service calls and maintenance checkups and replace pressure tanks and pumps in existing systems. They are very good to deal with. 2 yrs ago they replaced this pressure tank. This tank had a 1 year warranty and failed after 2 years. They replaced the pressure tank at no charge and repaired the water line for the material cost and service charge. Very good customer service

C&J was originally expecting to drill in our front yard, but local utility restrictions forced us to relocate the wells to under our driveway. C&J was very accommodating as they had to wait for the details of the utility restrictions to be worked out. The drill broke off some tree branches, which fortunately we were willing to lose. The drilling process produces a slurry runoff, which we attempted to contain and route, but which ended up going in unintended directions.

The work only took them about ten minutes so I felt that they were a little expensive for the work they did. My water is not working again but I will not be giving them a call to do the work.

I'm really sorry that you feel you would not use us again, and we would love to change your mind. Please consider calling us again for another job well done. I understand that $150 is a lot of money; however, please keep in mind that there is a whole lot more that goes into a 10 minute repair than 10 minutes. First, we must advertise for you to call. Second, we have a service manager take your information and dispatch a technician. Third, we drive to your site in a vehicle stocked with everything to repair anything, as well as a two man crew to quickly and efficiently tackle anything your well can throw at us. Fourth, We get signed paperwork and do a diagnostic. Sorry to say it, but I would not doubt for a minute that we actually paid you to repair your well at $150. Usually repairs are not this simple. Please do not write us off so quickly. Let me know if we can do something to make you happy with us again. We would be glad to work with you. -Josh"

They sent us a bill 6 weeks after the project was done. The very next day after I got the bill they sent me a threating letter stating that if I didn't pay for the bill in full in 2 weeks they were going to put a mechanics lean on the host. We tried to give them post dated checks, of which the salesman agreed to, but they refused to accept those now. They were also going to charge us $500.00 to put a lean on the host as well. They destroyed the garden as well after we told them not to. They drove all over the yard of which we asked them not to do as well.

"I am disappointed to receive our first F report. We always work hard to get along with our customers. However, your claims are not accurate and do not represent the reality of the situation. During all of our phone conversations, your only complaint was that you had no money and could not pay the bill, after you had agreed to. When your hand was forced and your false promises called upon, you then became irate in the most foul manner. That is why I believe we received this F. Also, please note that post dated checks are not a legal way to pay off a bill(nor a trustworthy one). That is why we did not accept your offer. Sorry, but I believe we upheld our end of our agreement and then went the extra mile. (Please recall that we gave you a well at no charge due to natural gas, which we have no control over). I know this was a great financial hardship for your family; however, we believe we did everything we said we would do and then some. -Josh"

A couple weeks after the flood in June, our water slowed to a trickle. We found C&J on Angie's List and called on the weekend. The owner apologized, but said if he had to come on Saturday, there'd be an extra charge. We assured him we could get by until Monday. They came out a little later than we expected, but apologized again and said they had gotten tied up on a previous call that morning. When they arrived, they found that the flood had damaged our tank and the pressure switch. They replaced the damaged parts and gave us a 5% Angie's List discount. Their employees were efficient and completed the work to our satisfaction. We have had no problems since their repairs have been completed.

They told me exactly what they were going to do, how they would do it, and how long it would take them. They were very courteous. They finished before they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. I not only was satisfied with their performance, but they showed up on time and did a great job. They even charged me $75.00 less than on their estimate. This company really went the extra mile.

The two gentlemen went right to work. Jim was very good at keeping me informed as to what was going on and whether any unexpected situations had been encountered. They completed the installation (including monitoring of the new tank cycling on and off and inspection for leaks) in just over one hour. They cleaned up thoroughly and asked me if I had any remaining questions and concerns. As it happened I did some other work in the crawl space and had to call Jim later in the afternoon with a question about the well pressure switch. He was prompt in calling me back and clearly answered my question (which involved part of the well system that he had NOT worked on). I appreciated his willingness to answer my questions on aspects outside of the job he'd completed for me.

We turned on the faucet and had no water. After many plumbing calls the plumber concluded we needed a new well. C & J was able to come out the next day. They had to dig deeper then anticipated-of course you pay by the foot-but they did hit water. They were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. We have a great water supply-even after my husband left the hose on in the backyard for three days!

The work was ok, but one time the broke my electrical to my pump and said it was my fault, I had it fixed for free by a friend so I never back charged them.

We sold our home and inspection company found e coli in the well. Since we were closing in 6 days, I called C & J Well. They went above and beyond because when we got to the home the electricity had been turned off too soon. Thank goodness they had a generator on the truck and were able perform the preliminary work (while I waited for the electric company to arrive). Jim arrived the next day to check the water quality and take a sample back with him for testing. Got results the next day. I had called 2 other well companies on Angie's List and they were the most responsive. We moved to a home that also has a well and I will definitely use them in the future.

It seemed to me that when they first walked in their first interest was is money than in how they were gonna help me with my problem. I felt that he assumed what he was gonna do before he even checked. His diagnosis was correct but I just felt like I got a new tank and I didn't need one, it was just a new small part I needed. They came into my house with dirty shoes and I wasn't very happy about I'm not sure I will call them back. They were nice but they didn't address my problem first.

When they were drilling for the new well they hit natural gas. They realized they couldn't get the well to work so the owner ended up coming and realized they had hit natural gas. They then had to drill a new well and run it 130 ft to get past the gas pocket. There was no problems with the new well. They water quality is better and so is the water pressure. They explained a lot about the old well and the new well to me.

They responded very quickly to our request, even though they are located in Brownsburg and we live in Noblesville. They were professional and explained everything that they were recommending in detail. We had originally received a quote from a different company of $2,500 indicating that we needed a new pump, among other things. We feel C & J made an honest recommendation of what was needed and did not try to take advantage of our situation. We would highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with them. I called them & they gave me an estimate right over the phone. They knew by my diagnosis what the problem was. They came out the next day and I signed the papers. They originally quoted me $700 and it ended up being $665 with the 5% Angie's List discount. They came out one morning, repaired the system & I had water again within a couple of hours. The repair was professionally done & they knew exactly what they were doing. My well is located right next to my garden & there was no damage to my garden at all. The yard was not left a mess and there were no ugly scars or anything left over after the work was completed, which I really appreciated. I was very pleased with them & I will be using them again.
