He is knowledgeable, easy to talk too, and he understands. He explains things to you. He not just does his thing and treats you like a car that was brought in for an oil change. He has kept me in shape. I have a very difficult back problem, and he kept it under control. The other thing is my wife went to him after she slipped and came down hard on one leg sort of a little sideways. She pulled a tendon on her knee. That was gradually getting better over several days, and it started getting worst. I talked to Dr. Houze about it, and he said the problem when you pull a tendon and stretch it that it can get out of the channel that it is supposed to be in and the healing process is not going to pop it back. It is probably getting worst because she managed to get the tendon out of the channel. I told my wife about it. She went in and that was in fact the case. So, he figured out what it was without seeing her. He popped it back in and it was better immediately. She went back two more times one week a part to make sure that it stayed in the channel while it healed. She has had no problems with it since. So, it is just the knowledge, communication, and the effectiveness of treatment. There is just one month of the year that he goes out of town on a big bicycle trip. So, there is one month of the year if you call, you cannot see him. You have to see his partner. The staffs are always ready when I show up; I do not have any issues there. I have recommended him to a number of people, and all of them have been very happy.

Dr. Houze communicates well, but I don't think he listens.

He is very intelligent and has a lot of experience. His practice is very good and professional. He has a great bedside mannerism and his support staff is very professional, too. The office is very nice too and I have recommended his services to many. There is a little wait as he spends time with every patient. I will continue to use his services in future.
