I felt from the  moment I walked in that this place was run by professionals. Josh checked over my car and gave me alternatives in the repairs. There was a little confusion over how long it would take, but this was squared away and they finished a little early ( it took one week). The damage required repairing the left rear side panel and removing dents in the back. I was very pleased at how good the car looked.

I contacted Church Brothers by phone last week seeking an appointment for an estimate on repair of a small paint chip on my vehicle.  The woman who answered the phone told me I didn't need an appointment and I should just come on in.  On Tuesday of this week I did just that, only to be told that it would be at least a half hour wait for the estimator and that that's the risk you take of not having an appointment.  See, apparently they do take appointments for estimates...so why they didn't schedule me for one when that was what I originally called to request, I have no idea.  So I made an appointment for the following day.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted promptly and kindly.  The estimator was available in a timely fashion.  Given the size of the paint chip I have (it is very small, and I do know that), he actually recommended that I just attempt to fix it myself because it would be a costly repair to have them do just because of all that is involved.  Ultimately I have decided to try it myself, figuring I can always go back if that just absolutely doesn't work out.
As for this review, you can read from the above that I can't really review their actual services so this is mainly a review based on my interactions with office staff and the honesty of the estimator.  He could have easily used scare tactics, but he didn't.

On Feb. 26th I messaged Church Brothers to see if they install seat belts because my dog chewed the seatbelt and we weren't able to use it. On Feb 27th we got a response back from them asking more questions. So on Feb 28th I gave them all the information that they needed and through out the day we messaged each other on Angie's list, and then we got a call to set up an appointment.
I was very impressed with the company on how they responded so quickly. We took the van in on March 5th and everything went well. I would go back to them again.

The car seems to be in excellent shape. The only problem was the timeliness. We were given eight separate expected completion dates. Three of them were understandable: the first was an approximate date based on the initial estimate; the second was an update after they tore everything apart and re-evaluated; the third at the end due to travel warnings and business closures. The five other expected completion dates seemed like we were really getting the run-around. When they road-tested the car after repairs were and quot;completeand quot;, they discovered more problems Should they have caught these earlier? No idea: we are not privy to discussions between Church Brothers and our insurer. After that time, we were given date after date, and it seemed like Church Brothers really had no idea when the car would be done. That is unprofessional: if you know your work, plan it out and give a decent approximate date. Finally, 48 days after they received the car (and at least 42 days after our insurer approved repairs), we got the car back. They did finally provide a rental car to my wife at their cost for the last 6 days of repairs (our insurance-provided rental had run out 10 days earlier).
Giving so many different expected completion dates was very unprofessional. It made planning transportation extremely difficult. Setbacks happen, but customers should get solid dates based on reasonable projections, not darts thrown at a dartboard or and quot;just a couple more daysand quot;. The staff was very respectful and kind at all times, which made their poor projections a little easier to swallow.
Church Brothers is known for high-quality work at high-quality prices. Their customer service (at least on the planning end) should be high quality as well.

Lousy. They were the shop suggested by the insurance company. They failed to mark the entire affected area leaving a ripple in the bumper on a brand new car. There is also an imperfection in the paint job. The car was supposed to be repaired to like-new but was not. When we asked about it they dismissed it as barely noticeable. When we stressed that this is a new car we were told they would and quot;call us next weekand quot;. They have not called. I will never use their service again and do not recommend them to anyone!

I have been very pleased with their work in the past. I would go there again if I had another accident. They did very good work and made the whole process very easy.

We brought our Infiniti G35 to Church Brothers in Avon on the advice of our insurance company (they were considered a preferred provider, which meant that their estimate would be accepted by the company without further insurance appraisal necessary). Since we have used Church Bros in the past, we felt fine with them. The damage was caused by hitting huge deer antlers on a dead deer already in the road, and involved bumper work and side light replacement. We specifically asked them to inspect the right front tire, as it was sounding loud, and not handling normally ("just felt funny"). At the time of the accident, we suspected that we had blown the tire, but it did not appear so, and I also gave them that information. We took the car in on a Monday, after waiting 2 weeks between appraisal and appointment, and they promised return by Friday. Later that week, they discovered hidden damage to the back of a headlight, which necessitated ordering parts and a delay in getting the car back until Monday. When we picked up the car, the body work was beautiful, but we noticed that the loud tire sound and funny handling was still there, so we returned two days later and spoke to George Kristoff Jr,, their chief appraisor. He drove the car and thought that a wheel bearing had gone bad in the involved wheel, but he did not believe that it was related to the accident, so he advised us to contact our insurance company, even though we gently pointed out that the sound and funny handling started with the accident. He was not willing to assist us. I immediately contacted the insurance company, who advised us to take the car to a different mechanic for inspection and have them call the insurance adjuster with their findings. Not only was a bearing bad as a result of the accident, but both front tires had long cuts on the inner sides of the tires and the front end was out of alignment! This should have been readily seen on visual inspection if the car was on a lift! I strongly feel that Church Brothers allowed us to drive an unsafe vehicle out of their garage, both relating to the tires, as well as the wheel bearing, which is unconscionable and disappointing. Despite their 100% satisfaction guarantee, George sent us on our way even though we expressed that the car still had a handling problem that was not there prior to the accident. At a minimum, he should have physically reinspected the vehicle before sending us off the second time, especially since the vehicle was determined to be unsafe. This also caused us the distress and aggravation of taking it to another shop, and being without the vehicle again. Our insurance authorized the additional work by the alternate mechanic, and the car is now back to perfect.
