Aqua Systems

AquaSystems provides a very nice unit.  It is clean and easy to use, and they cut my salt usage in half from my previous (non-AquaSystems) unit.  Plus, I enjoy not having to worry about a failed water softener.  If it breaks, they just come out and fix or replace it for free (since it is a rental unit). 
I liked AquaSystems so much that in our new house I had them install a water softener, iron filter, and industrial RO system.  Now we have great water!

We had a trade from our old system to a new on demand water softener. First of all, I was having trouble with our old system and on the phone they tried every way they could to help me troubleshoot it. And finally, I just decided to get a new one. I like the fact that the system is on demand. So, we won’t use less water that we have been using. The installer was helpful and I’m very happy to this system to display.

These guys are great. Entire process from helping me choose which unit to professional installation couldn't have been better.....these guys know how to deliver good service. Highly recommend!

Jason Coleman  (317-965-3673) came to the house to evaluate our site.  We had already had Kinetico out to see what they would suggest and what costs would be involved in repairing or upgrading our system that was installed around 1990.. There was a $100.00 dollar off promotion on the whole  Aquasystems package installed. 
(Kinetico's best price was $1,750 to rebuild our old unit. All other prices even with "$1,000 off" were vastly more expensive).  (Jason is not on a commission as are the Kinetico reps).  Jason was very attentive to our needs, and very professional in his approach.  A friend who does home inspections, Michael Hart, (317-574-9663) recommended we call Aquasystems as they are local and have top of the marketplace equipment.   For example, if the new unit, after its 7 year warranty expires, should need repair, I have instructions showing how to disconnect the control unit, and it can be driven or mailed to the shop in Avon and rebuilt for $75.00.  We like things that are designed maximally as well as easily repairable.  When we moved into this house, it had a Culligan unit that constantly needed repairs.  I called them out to service their unit one last time telling them to use their best parts because if it failed to work properly one more time, it would be out at the curb and replaced.  It failed, and I tossed that unit. 
This installation was outstanding and was done by Mark.  All of the plumbing is beautifully done, and it was done with thought and insight as well.  The two shutoff valves he replaced the Culligan ones with are offset so that if they leak, the drips will not fall on the electronics of the unit.  The lever action shutoffs are simple to use and they work very smoothly.  We chose this unit, the Smart Choice  Gen II because it has a digital screen that shows how the system is performing, when it will need salt added, and also if all of the water faucets are shut off in the house, and there is still flow thru the unit, it will mean that we have an in-house water line leak!  Thus, my wife can open the furnace room door and see how things are running, and she will now be able to shut off the entire house plumbing easily if she needs to.
Mark plumbed in a bypass as well so that we could still get water inside the house even if the Aquasystems unit failed and the controller had to be sent in for repair.   I was impressed with the absolute competence and skill of Mark the installer.  He communicates well, and his end result is picture-perfect.  The only thing I could not find in the owner booklet is where the serial number is located.

Jason came to the house and tested the outside water as well as water from several faucets.  He showed me the results as well as explained them as he did them.  He asked a lot of questions about the water, our usage, etc.  As it turns out, our softener was working perfectly.  Also, we did not test positive for iron in the water...or anything else.  Jason made two recommendations that he was fairly sure would solve the issues I'd reported.  He encouraged me to call him if the simple fixes he recommended didn't work.  However, he was fairly confident and said he didn't want to sell us a system that we likely didn't need.  I found his honesty and the company ethics refreshing. (I asked Jason if it was OK to post on Angie's List that he did not sell us a water system.  Some bosses would not be pleased with this outcome.  However, he assured me that this was the company stance, to deal with customers honestly and with integrity and with the highest ethics).   I will definitely continue to work with Aqua Systems for any need that arises related to our water.  I am duly impressed that Jason Coleman and Aqua Systems operate with honesty and integrity.  Sadly, that's often not the case anymore.  Very pleased with their service!

Representative tested our water and fully explained the options and costs. Installer arrived on time. Unit was installed professionally and quickly. . He explained operation and maintenance clearly. Would recommend company.

It turned out real well. They did a good job. They only problem was that the guy that delivered the salt didn’t deliver enough.

There was some confusion on whether my water line was hooked up to the ice maker. A few days later my basement was  flooded because the water line wasn’t holed up to the ice maker. Legally, I signed a document that they were not responsible for it, and I didn't like the way the whole thing went down.

They were professional and informed us the water softener was working correctly. We have no complaints with them. I would us them again in the future. I was pleased with their service.

Wonderful service! Not only did we get a reverse osmosis system under our kitchen sink, we got a line installed to our fridge and the filtration system for our well water line was replaced and moved (the original owners of the house installed a cheap filtration system in an awkward spot in our basement that required us to stand on a ladder an lean backwards to change).  I thought we needed a new water softner system too, based on what another company had suggested.  Todd tested our water and told me our current system was doing it's job removing the iron from our water...he could have made some unnecessary money off of us, but he was honest.  After the job was completed, he called up to make sure everything went as planned.

They were significantly cheaper. My daughter was very thrilled with the whole deal. I was very happy with the installation of the water heater and water softener system in three different houses. As far as the water heater is concern, what I found when I was doing checking,  all the plumbing companies in the area use the same brand and Aqua System had significantly out bid everybody else and I don't know if that' so true. They are friendly, outgoing, very competitive, very professional, they are here when they said they are going to be and they did the job, they were in and out. Jen had an issue that it weakened a little bit but they were right there and it turned out that they hadn't taped it right and they were there right away and apologized profusely, fixed it and they are out of door. I was really happy that they did a nice job in backing up their work.

Both my daughter's and our water heaters went out at the same time. We ended up using Aqua Systems because they were significantly cheaper. Aqua systems is a water softener company and they had just started installing hot water heaters. I had called them for my daughter and 2 days later our hot water heater went out so I called them back. I was very happy with the installation with the water heater. They had also installed the water softener system in 3 different locations.
What I found, all the plumbing companies use the same brand of hot water heater. Aqua systems had significantly under bid everyone else. It might be because they were just starting and had a special. They were very competitive. They were very professional. They were there when they said they would be. They did the job, they were in and out, and they didn't leave a mess. 
My daughter had an issue that it was leaking a little bit. They were right there. It turns out that they hadn't taped it right. They were there right away, apologized profusely, fixed it and were out the door in nothing flat. I really thought they did a nice job of backing up their work.

I had called the main office 3 weeks prior to installation to get pricing. I did want to rent the unit. The sales guy called me back within a few minutes of leaving a message. We set a date for install & a time which was at my convenience. They had called me a couple days prior to see if I wanted an earlier install day but I had not taken possession of the house so I declined. On the day of install, the installer called me when he was on his way to my house (I like this so I dont have to sit & wait). It took the guy maybe 45 minutes to install the water softener. He was professional, clean, & efficient. I love the water softener. I rented the unit for $19 per month.

We live in Brownsburg and have well water.  Over the past few months the sulfur smell in our water had become unbearable.  Aqua Systems recommended an iron filter system and a new softener (our old softener was 17 years old) as well as new reverse osmosis system for the drinking water in the kitchen and  ice maker.  I couldn't be happier with the result.  The job was done in one day with no problems.  Our water now has absolutely no smell or taste.  I had received another opinion from a competitor who recommended a chlorination system and a new softener with a price tag of twice as much.  I think the chlorination would have worked but it would have been a much more complicated system.

They came when they said they were going to, they did the job, and it’s been working ever since. We haven’t had any problems. They also gave us suggestions about not using as much salt.  The system we replaced was from Aqua Systems and it was a good system that lasted a long time.

It turned out very good! They are very responsive, prompt on installation, and priced fairly.

We have always been very satisfied with them. We have had them since 1980! We have never had any problems with them at all. They are getting ready to come out and put in a new water softener.

Received prompt response to request to repair old water softener.   After discussing repairs, requested an estimate on a new water softener.   They reviewed our home requirements and suggested a new water softener.   Installation went well and no problems with softener since.

Service techs were professional, on time, and did not take an extended period of time to perform their work.
