"Hi [Member name removed], I apologize for this duplicate review request from Angie's List. I don't know what happened or why but I will contact my representative immediately to let him know about it."
"Thank you very much for the review [member name removed]! We all enjoyed working with such nice folks as you. I will pass along your feedback to everyone on my end to keep the positive work flowing."
The following Thursday and Friday, the painters came and finished up and really did a nice job. They ended up using a different kind of paint for the fixtures, and it looks great. They were polite, punctual and I would highly recommend them to anybody.
I did get three quotes for this job. The one painter was comparable in price but said he needed to "ask some friends" about how to go about painting the ceiling and the proper paint to use. That didn't sit well with me. The other painter was a bit cheaper, but also hadn't done a ceiling like this in "a while", and was going to charge $150 for extra paint if needed. Mike told us they would spray until it was satisfactory, and materials were all included. They went through several 5 gallon containers, but it looks outstanding.
"Thank you very much [member name removed] for your kind words. I will make sure that all of the members of our team see this review. Pleasing our customers is very rewarding to us and to see your level of satisfactions inspires us to try even harder! Thanks again!"
"Thanks for the feedback [member name removed]. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
"There is no disputing the sub-standard workmanship that my original crew provided here. I totally understand my customer's position. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to stay as close to the project as I normally do, particularly in the final days. This is in NO WAY typical of my project management methods. On all other jobs I have done, I am there each and every day ensuring that things are going to plan and that the customer is happy with the results. To further complicate matters here, the customer didn't let me know of her disatisfaction until about a week later. Regardless, as soon as I learned of her disatisfaction, I went to the home. I then arranged for another crew to go in and fix things. Frankly I didn't care about my costs and losses. I wanted to make the customer happy. Period. In hindsight, I probably should have never taken on this job as my very first Angie's List job. It was a difficult one with a lot of unknowns and variables. My crew DID have experience in wallpaper removal but not to this extent. They've always done fine on smaller wallpaper removal jobs and/or where the paper came off fairly easy. They were challenged here but ultimately this is my fault. On the other hand, I have extremely high ratings in all my other surveys and customer satisfaction questionnaires. I assure any prospect that this is NOT typical of the quality of my organization's work."
