Illinois Gun Training Classes

Everything went very well and they are very organized. This class is fun and very educational. It was everything we were hoping it would be. My friends and I had no idea what we were doing when it came to guns. Now we consider it a hobby and feel our homes and families are protected.

Tim Hill did a great job in all aspects of the course. The classroom portion of the course was conducted professionally with complete explanations of everything.  He answered questions thoroughly and professionally.  The shooting portion of the course was conducted with the utmost safety and security and helped each student individually and as a group.  We definitely got our money's worth and I feel 100% more confident and comfortable with this class under my belt.

Tim's class stayed right on the required curriculum but he also added helpful insight along the way. He does well mixing his media to keep the class interested and on track. His stressing of safety was welcome and it caused all in the class to carefully learn how to be just as safe. Tim cared well for those just beginning and those who were advanced. He brought everyone up to the proficiency level required - and then some. A great value and a great environment. Tim is knowledgeable, skilled and passionate. I cannot imagine a better teacher.

The material was well prepared and flowed well throughout the two days. Enjoyed the extended time on the range.

I've taken several of his classes and it is obvious he knows a great deal about weapons.  I've watched him work with all types of students, from beginners to experienced military.  He respects every student and is super careful with weapon safety.  Tim also tells us really-life experiences to help us remember lessons permanently.  He gives us ample time to try out the techniques.  He is a the perfect balance of competence plus great personality.

Awesome! Most know that Illinois concealed carry training is amongst the most lengthy & elaborate in the nation. Tim Hill (& Instructor Nick) has to be amongst the most conscientious, hard working and capable instructors in the state. You want all of this if carrying a weapon or even occasionally handling a gun. His enthusiasm for helping his students rapidly improve their skills- from handling safety to target accuracy- couldn't have been better. Tim has high expectations for those who certify through him, and uses a variety of effective teaching skills to help you thoroughly absorb and retain the critical points. His polite, positive manner and balance between serious when needing to be and great sense of humor helps the time fly, even during the drier statutory reviews. Tim's extra emphasis on "stress" training- as police and military often use- was especially valuable in developing my skill to remain calm and think rationally in a stressful situation that might require use of my weapon. A true dedicated professional- very grateful to have had Tim as my instructor and mentor.

It went very well.  I feel more comfortable handling a gun, but know I need to practice before becoming really comfortable and probably take another class or two.   I feel safer handling a gun because he really emphasized how not to accidentally shoot myself or others. 
Make sure you wear clothing that covers most of your skin to the gun range, because sometimes hot bits of lead fly back at you.  You will be wearing safety glasses and ear protection.
