Fred is amazing! From great work to great prices he is hands down the best plumber I’ve ever dealt with! He has done multiple jobs for us and we wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Fred came out to give us a quote and failed to give us a quote for an entire week. We trusted he would give us a reasonable price and decided to support friend of the family’s business so allowed him to do the work. He cancelled on us back to back days and then finally showed up after we sent a text given and ultimatum of going with another company if he didn’t show up like he originally said he would. I sent pictures of sink and faucet combo and water filtration system that I purchased so he would be able to give me a quote and be prepared what he needed for the job. He arrived at 10am and left at 4pm. He was gone from 11am-12:30pm to go purchase plumbing parts and had to leave again from 3-3:30pm. So all in all he was working on the actual project for 4 hours along with two other workers who only helped him remove sink and drill 6 holes for water line. I continued to ask how much it was going to cost so I could get him cash and he kept deflecting. He finished and then sent me a bill later that day for $1400.00. I kindly asked if he could give me a detail bill explaining how he could charge that much when I purchased the sink, faucet and water system. He said 2 P-traps, 2 shut off valves, plastic flex water line, and water filtration valves cost $200 in materials which then means he was charging me over $300 in labor. I asked again for a more detailed quote and he told me he only books flat rates for either a half day or full day and that he should’ve charged me $1800-$2400 but he gave us a “deal”. If you want to spend an astronomical amount of money on a basic plumbing job I guess he is your guy. Otherwise, there are many other more reasonable and reputable plumbers out there.

Excellent service! I had a leak in my basement that I thought was ground water. Turns out the sewer was backed up. Fred was recommended to me by a local Elmhurst group. I called on a Wednesday night and he was available immediately. He was flexible to work around my work schedule. He was prompt and efficient. He also knew the area very well and was aware of the sewer systems and community regulations. I will definitely be using Fred and Sons for any future plumbing needs!

We had come back from a short vacation when we noticed a water leak in our basement. After searching ourselves for the origin of the leak and having no luck, we contacted Fred and Sons Plumbing.  Fred himself came out, on time, and searched high and low for the origin of this leak. Eventually the leak was located, behind a cabinet in our laundry room on the second floor. The leak was repaired and all is well.



Fred was on time for our appointment, very courteous and professional. Would definitely recommend this company again and plan on utilizing his services for any future plumbing needs we may have.
