We had been driving when the fender came loose. We secured it temporarily until we could get back to Wilmette Auto Body. They got it reattached easily. They stand behind their work. I've been using their services for over 20 years and cannot say enough good things about them.

When my auto was rear ended, Wilmette Auto took excellent photos of hidden damage which helped me to negotiate my way thru the mine field of dealing with State Farm adjusters who were trying to squeeze me. They arranged for a rental car delivered and picked up from their body shop. This company does excellent work at reasonable prices and does it with courtesy and integrity. You could not find a better body shop.

It went so great. The project was finished a day early, and the final tab was lower than the original estimate.
But what I really love about these folks is the courtesy and respect with which they treat the customer. True story: I am a 60-year-old woman who, until now, has never brought my car in for repairs. I've always sent my husband because, as a woman, I felt I was never treated with respect by auto hounds. My husband was too busy to bring the car in this time, so I braced myself for insult and brought it in myself. What a surprise! The gentleman who provided the estimate was so polite, explained everything, and answered all my questions. Wilmette Auto Body, I (heart) you!

for meI took the car to Fix a dent in the front fender.
My first disappointment was when I went to pickup the car the day that I was told it will be ready. When I got there I was told that it will be ready the next day. What really gets me is that I had called 2 hrs. earlier and I was told my the owner that car is ready for me. So when I got there than i was told it will be ready the next day.
The next day I drove over to the shop and I inspected the car and the work was not properly done. The bottom of the fender was not painted to the point that you can see the metal. The manager suggested to leave the car additional three days so they can repaint the fender.
After 3 days I drove again to the shop and after inspected the car I found bubbles in the paint. I was told that there is no problem and that hey can fix this while I waited. After they tried they to fix it they took off the fresh coat of paint.
Again I was asked to leave the car for extra 2 days. At the same time I notice the front bumper was loose and they said an additional part is needed to be replaced which was not part of the original estimate and I had to pay additional $75 if i want fixed..
This place was the most expensive based on three estimates I got from other shops in the area, however I decided to go there based on Angie's list review recommendation and I was very disappointment with the whole experience.

Dean at Wilmette Auto Body carefully examined the damage and wrote up the quote on the spot. We talked about possible dates when the work could be done. The is a busy place, so I had to wait for two weeks. It was worth the wait. Their work is beautiful. The color match is perfect, or blended so well that it looks perfect. The car was spotless, as would be needed for painting. However, even the inside looked like it had been vacuumed. The only glitch was that the estimated completion time was delayed by a few days because of an issue with the paint. To be fair, they warned me at the outset that completion dates were only estimates. If I have to choose between having the job done well or on-time, I would choose a job well done every time.

Wilmette Auto Body did good work for a great price. I had a front fender repaired and some rust removed from my door. They did a good job and it has held up well.

I have had my Menz serviced there for years. They are always fast and honest! I had them do a scheduled maintenance and quote me on on some other work.

What a terrific and honest business! I took my car in for an estimate after a minor fender bender. Dean (the owner I think) was friendly and immediately came out to do the estimate. After looking closely at the "scratches", he concluded that he could fix it without any body work. He spent the next 20 minutes on his hands and knees rubbing and buffing what was a paint and ruber transfer -- not scratches -- out. It looked perfect, and he refused to take a dime. Another business quoted several hundred dollars to repair. After being that honest and responsive, Wilmette Auto Body will be the first place I go and will get my future business.

Our Honda Minivan needed to have the lift gate replaced after a small accident. The work was performed beatifully and on time. Looks nicer than before the accident.
Wilmette Auto Body went out of their way to help out when the rental company messed up. Without being asked, they offered me a lift to the rental place which really saved me some valuable time that day. That little extra really makes you feel good about them.
I also note that this is the quitest auto repair place I have ever been in. All the workers seem to go about their business with a very workmen approach.
And finally, when I was picking up my vehicle I asked about a small cosmetic issue on my other car. They cleaned up that issue on the spot and free of charge.
First class outfit.

They took off my bumper, buffed and repainted the exterior. They washed and buffed the whole car and also cleaned the interior, which was a nice surprise.
My only criticisms are: 1) No one walked me out to my car when I picked it up to show me the completed work and make sure I was satisfied. I was picking up the car at the end of the day and was the only customer there. The car was left running out front while I was in the office, so before I paid I said I was going to take a look at the work. Neither owner (both were there) walked out with me. It was odd and not very professional. 2) They did not remember to apply their Angie's List discount. I mentioned it after I accepted the estimate and they said they would apply it. It was not on the invoice and I didn't remind them a second time as it was only 5%. 3) They never got my last name correct. I tried from day one not to be called "Martin" but they never corrected it. When I went to pick up my car, they couldn't locate my paperwork since it was still filed under the wrong name. They finally fixed it in the computer just before I paid. I realize I was a small job for them without an insurance claim and they are a very busy shop, but despite the good work, I feel their professionalism could use some improvement.

The estimate process was no muss, no fuss. They could do the work within a few days, as they would need to order the parts. Dropped the car off in on a morning later that week, and it was done in the mid-afternoon, same day. It was clear to me that they didn't overcharge. A few weeks later they sent me a card in the mail thanking me for the business and requesting contact if things weren't as expected, or they could do anything more for me. First class from start to finish. Yay!

This was not a complicated repair as auto body work goes, so nothing extraordinary in that regard. What was exceptional is the service they provided. I went in to have it appraised and talked with Dean. He gave me an appraisal in 5-10 minutes. I told him my time frame for work and he stated that it would depend when the parts arrive. But unlike other places, he didn't wait for the parts to tell me a time frame, he actively called parts supplier and then guaranteed me a time frame. Their work was outstanding; like new. They are not the cheapest shop in town, but nor where they overpriced. I will continue to get competitive bids, but they certainly have earned my business for the future.

They were very busy due to the storm this winter, but told me it would take about three weeks before I could get an appt. They took the car on the scheduled date. They did the work but were not finished on anticipated date. They did, however, provide me with a free rental vehicle when the car wasn't ready, and they offered it without making a fuss. Also, they drove me home after I dropped off my car. The work was done well, they appear to be honest, and it is a "no frills" kind of place. I would recommend them to a friend and use them again. It was a positive experience.

Wilmette Auto Body is great. They repaired it on time and they did an excellent job. They were very cordial. They were excellent and they get you back and forth to where you came from. They met the insurance price and they did very good work.
