The Cat Groomer

I have a nine-year-old, twenty-eight pound orange tabby, Little Guy, who hates being brushed or bathed. He has a medium length coat with a very thick fine undercoat. He could not, because of his big tummy, reach certain areas of his body that were in serious need of a good cleaning. Even with my husband helping, I was not able to get him cleaned up properly, so it was time to call in a professional. I had taken him to the vet previously for grooming but didn't want to spend an afternoon driving him back and forth so the idea of having the groomer come to my house was very appealing.

Cheryl was amazing! She is very professional, prompt, and courtious. She set me up with the first available opening in her schedule, three weeks out, but offered to put me on her waiting list if someone cancelled an earlier spot. She called me back a few days later and was able to give me an earlier appointment.

She arrived on time and pulled her customized grooming salon on wheels on to my driveway. Knowing how hard and stressful it was for me to groom Little Guy and how much he hated being groomed, I chose not to watch and let Cheryl do her thing. She, together with an assistant, gave him a thorough bath and a modified lion cut. He looked amazing! He had never been so clean in his life! More importantly, he did not seem to be stressed out despite the hour it took to get him groomed.

I certainly plan to use Cheryl again. I think her fee schedule is reasonable for the services she provides. She did a great job! She is definitely a "cat-whisperer"!

Cheryl is a very professional and caring groomer. The cats are far less stressed with her coming to our home. Their former groomer has a very good shop that handles both dogs and cats. Having The Cat Groomer come to our home eliminates the dogs and the cats being caged and driven which they really didn't like. Along with listening to the owner's wishes, she observes and "listens" to the cats. She alerted me to something that led to a needed vet visit. I was so grateful that a condition I wasn't aware of was caught and treated early thus avoiding a really sick cat. Bottom line is she is great and the cats look beautiful. And they seem to know it.

I was very impressed by this company. They were very prompt. They called me back right away to make the appointment. They came to my door with a taxi to transport my cat to and from their cat mobile. I loved it that their mobile is dedicated to cats but they said they do small dogs as well. I have two cats and only one is a long-haired cat which I groom from time to time. I liked it that there was two ladies also, which made me feel secure that my cat was going to well handled and taken care of.

She offers pretty much everything. She literally comes in a van to your door and the reason I went with her is because my cats are very feisty and she managed to "tamed" them. I use her once a month. She is very reasonable in pricing. She certainly is comparable to any groomer that I have taken. She has a scale of short hair, long hair and medium hair cats and she does everything in the van to include washing and drying. She charges me around $95 for bath, grooming and clipping. I like that she is specifically for cats. She is awesome. She has even combed by most feisty cat. I will continue to use her in the future. I have booked in 2013 with her.
