They were excellent. The sales rep. spent a lot of time walking through our basement and around the perimeter of our house (outside) and gave us some excellent recommendations of things we could do to prevent a drainage problem we thought might occur after completion of a construction project we were doing. He gave us some excellent ideas of things we could do ourself and told us what he'd be able to do for us if our DIY fix didn't work. He was prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and it was obvious that he cared about his work and his customers.

This company does great work and stands behind their job. When one of the cracks that they had previously repaired started leaking, they came out and repaired it again, no questions asked. Both repairs have been water tight since then.

Excellent service. The person who came to make the estimate explained the process very clearly. The workman did an excellent job. Showed up on time and was very polite. We've had several intense rainstorms since the work was done, and haven't seen a drop of water in the basement. I don't know how much it cost because the townhouse association paid the bill.

PERMA-SEAL WATERPROOFING TRIED REAL HARD, BUT WE'RE STILL GETTING WATER IN OUR BASEMENT. I THINK WE'LL HAVE TO HAVE THEM COME BACK AND DIG AROUND THE OUTSIDE SO THEY CAN DO THE OUTSIDE.

PERMA-SEAL CHARGED WAY TOO MUCH FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED. I MEAN THEY ARE A VERY REPUTABLE COMPANY, BUT THEY JUST DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB, AND THEY WERE SO UNPROFESSIONAL DURING THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

They were courteous and prompt. They would not get annoyed with questions, and explain everything they were doing. James was very careful as to not ruin the sprinkler system outside, and plugged a pipe that was throwing water. I highly recommend them.

We were experiencing some moisture on the interior brick in the basement, and called to see if waterproofing work was needed to ensure that the problem didn't get any worse. The Perma-Seal rep was very informative and pleasant. He said the basement was in great shape, and all we needed was a dehumidifier if we were worried about it, but that it was not causing foundation damage. We were very pleased with his clarity and helpfulness.

Concrete Leveling
I had asked that the crack be fixed from the outside. The workers arrived as scheduled and very rapidly removed the soil from the leaking foundation wall to the footing. They air chiseled the crack, cemented it over and applied a sealant and plastic film, and filled in the excavation. The workers were very professional and pleasant. A month or so later, I discovered a leak in the area where the repair had been completed. I contacted the company and within a week, a crew was there to fix the repair from the interior. Again, the workers were very professional and courteous. They spoke with each other in almost hushed tones and completely cleaned up not only the area of the repair, but also every little tree leaf and bit of dirt they had tracked in, leaving the entire area spotless! This inside repair was free, as they had promised within their guarantee. No leaks at all anymore! I am completely satisfied and very impressed with both their workers and their guarantee.

A rep was sent in April to give me an estimate and look at the problem we were having. He was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. He showed me how the sump pump worked and said it was draining slowly and could use a new relay switch. He gave me an estimate for a new pump as ours is 17 years old. On May 8th two serviceman arrived on time and went over everything with me. They finished the injections within an hour's time and were very professional. We have not had any seepage since and would highly recommend the company. I gave the estimator $100.00 down to set the appointment and $500.00 when the work was completed. The balance was split in two payments to be paid over 60 days. I found them to be affordable and liked the no interest extension on payment. My husband installed a new relay switch and we declined the pump for now.

Jeff arrived on time and mainly talked about giving us a power point presentation on piers, and never really answered our questions as to why we needed piers. As he left, he was to call to schedule an appointment when my husband would be available for his presentation. He never made a follow up call which is a shame for Perma-seal, since now another company will be piering our home. I think he didn't call back because it seemed like we were leaning toward just a cheap fix of sealing the cracks and not spending $32,000 on piers.

The work was done on Wednesday and then Sunday the pump started leaking for 12 hours so there was water all over my basement. I had to finally call a plumber to fix the badly installed pump from Perma-Seal and they charged me $300.

Price had risen since the first estimate which was beyond thirty days. Received Angie's list discount. Salesmen was affable. Foremen walked me through the process before starting and worked with concerns. Installers are hard workers. Formen made additional suggestion and I added a floor drain on the day of the installation which they gave me an excellent last minute price quote and they completed that day. Foreman seems the most knowledgeable, as he spends the day working alongside the others. I had to remove laundry sink from wall and floor as well as washer and drier so they could reach areas. I also had to remove about twelve deck boards so they could have access to the outside of the window. All stipulated in contract or you pay them to do. I have requested a re-visit that they scheduled without discussion for 6/12/06 to check out the sump pump discharge installation angle to prevent freezing of standing water in discharge pipe.

We have been very pleased with the whole experience with this company. The estimator was on time & explained that we would be better off with the trench on the outside because our foundation is made up of "telephone pole" blocks that can't be sealed properly from the inside. The crew was also on time & wasted no time getting to work. We had a change order since the foundation was not entirely level requiring an inside trench to connect the system at the south side of the house. Currently there is an addition there which will soon be removed & a new addition will be added in the same place. We have had several heavy rains since the installation & not a drop has appeared in our basement! You can be sure we will be having Perma-Seal install this same system on the foundation of our new addition.

At first, it was distressing to have one contract sold to us by a salesman (Bob) at one price, only to have the crew leader (Tomas) inform us that it was the wrong solution and the right solution costs more money. We were not happy. This meant talking and negotiating with the foreman (Robert) and the salesman (Bob) to resolve the situation and rewrite contracts before work could begin. I believe Robert and Bob were probably also in consultation with the owner (Roy). It was a bad situation that turned around. Most impressive to me was that Tomas was willing to speak up and that Perma-seal was willing to negotiate a price to keep this moving. I was also impressed that Robert and Bob both returned to the job site to talk to us and see the issues that Tomas raised. In the end it was a quality job and I would be willing to hire them again.
