my old insulation was only about 10 inches and my two bedroom were warm even the the wood floor was warm also ,when the Illinois insulator insulate the attic up to 14 inch thick all the hotness in the bedroom is gone very satisfied

Great work all around. They foam insulated the basement, air-sealed the top plates in the attic, replaced the attic fan controller with a humidistat and added cellulose blown-in insulation. All in only a few hours.

I hired this company after getting 3 quotes to add/upgrade insulation to my attic. The insulation had come away from the edge of my attic and I was getting condensation on my ceilings. After reviewing the 3 bids I thought this company seemed to be the most professional. I was wrong. They quoted me to add the insulation and additionally they wanted to "top off" my existing blown in cellulose insulation. I was concerned about this and asked if this would not be too heavy. They insisted this would not be a problem. The work was completed in October of 2019 and soon after I could see that my ceilings were sagging. In early December the ceiling in my dining room fell and I ended up having to get all my ceilings repaired/replaced due to the weight of the insulation. I called the sales person to discuss this with him but he insisted that it could not possibly be the weight of the insulation. However, my insurance company, all 3 contractors I had bid on the repairs and several other knowledgeable people have all stated that it was clearly the insulation. When the ceilings were repaired we discovered that on top of the already 8-10 inches of insulation I had in the attic, they had added approximately 15" of insulation! The salesperson gave me the owners name but to date he has not returned my call. The repairs have so far cost me over $6000 and I still have to replace the crown molding in my kitchen and dining room.

The initial inspection was professionally done. Recommendations were made to control project costs, which I very much appreciated. I knew exactly what I was getting for the cost. The installers were on time, and knew exactly what they were doing. They took the time to explain the planned work, and after showed me what was done (where the insulation was laid out, depth, etc.). Cleanup after the job was thorough. Could not ask for anything more. Excellent job. Recommend to anyone.
