At 7:30 am I called EconoTemp and reached the answering service. Marilyn called back with 25 minutes and said I was 3rd on the list but she promised she would have someone out. Bruce arrived around 11:00 am and replaced a part. My furnace is 23 years old and I will admit that I do not do preventative cleanings on it. EconoTemp does not try to sell services to me nor do they try and convince me to buy a new unit. I did ask Bruce for this opinion this time and we discussed the benefits of replacing the unit.

They were cheaper than anybody else on Angieslist. They did a neat job and laid rugs on my floor while they worked. They were in and out quickly. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

Everything was excellent about them. They provided good service. They gave us the estimate and they stuck to it. They were on time. They finished the work and they were neat.

My experience of working with them has been very, very good. Ms. Marilyn is always very helpful regarding scheduling. Mr. Bill is always very professional and very helpful about any questions that I have. He always takes his time. I just really like him. I think it’s the third time I've used them. I am very happy with them.

EconoTemp was one of two companies I called for this project. The other bid over the phone was for $895, so I went with EconoTemp's much lower price (by about $150) along with their reputation on Angie's. The lady answering at EconoTemp was very pleasant, and said that if they couldn't come that afternoon, they could come the next day. As this was not an emergency, next day service sounded amazingly fast. I had wanted to switch out my 40-gal Rheem Fury model as I knew that my model had gone well beyond the 6-yr warranty (it had at least 15 yrs service on it) and we were on borrowed time when it might start leaking. I didn't want to be in an emergency position to replace it. And I wanted to find this model or equivalent Rheem model. The company called about 25 minutes before the tech showed up. I think his name was Doug, but I'm not good with names. He was very competent and pleasant to deal with. He looked things over and got right to it. The removal and install took around 60 min, though he had to go and return a short time later as he did not have the right connector for the pressure relief overflow pipe. Other than that trivial item, the entire process was perfectly smooth and seamless. As part of the project, he hard-piped a connection to the gas line and replaced an old rusty vent section with new, so everything looks brand spanking new. Prior install many yrs ago made use of existing venting that was old even at that time. When done, he handed me the bill...for exactly $749 just as they said. It was a very pleasant surprise…I'm always anxious esp. with lower-than-expected bids as to what might come up at this crucial time. I'm happy to report no surprises, thanks EconoTemp! And the new water heater has been working for about 2 wks now with no leaks, no drips, no problems. I just hope I can get 15 yrs out of this new one.

I called before 7am and Marilyn returned my call within an hour. She had a team at my house before 9am. They were friendly and professional. The moved the water heater to the new location, drained and removed the old heater and cleaned up the entire mess including the water that had leaked onto the floor overnight. I could not be more happy with Econotemps, particularly Doug and Bruce who did a great job!!

I was very happy with how quickly Econotemp was able to come out to the house to investigate a leaking water heater. The service person was very professional and knowledgable, and came prepared to take care of the problem, including bringing a new water heater to install in case that was the best solution.

Technician was on time and Econotemp called prior to his arrival. Technician was courteous and careful in removing old heater. He even cleaned the floor under the water heater. He was careful not to get vent rust over the area. A new Rheem water heater was installed. I requested and was provided a written quote for a furnace and air conditioner system.

Great. Our heater broke and it happened to be on a really cold day and also a Saturday. The company was able to get someone to our house quickly who diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away. The service person was efficient, friendly and very helpful.

I have used them for the past thirty five years. They are wonderful. They are prompt, efficient, they use good quality materials, and they have old-fashioned professionalism.

It was great. They were very friendly. They were all just very helpful. We were extremely happy with them. They cleaned up all their messes and were very respectful to our house.

Great! They got to us fast despite massive flooding and a huge call volume. The tech they sent was able to discuss everything thoroughly each step along the way. He tried to replace parts before recommending replacement of the entire unit. I feel like he tried hard to give us the best value. He also wrote up his invoice to reflect trying the least expensive fixes first for our insurance. I appreciated his honesty and careful explanations.

It went well. The company sent someone next day. That was impressive because the volume of calls was massive with area wide flooding. He was prompt courteous and explained things well. He expressed concern that our pit might be too small and even saved the original pump mentioning that our insurance might want to examine it. He had a replacement unit on his van which was helpful since everywhere around us was totally sold out when we checked. However, he didn't recommend a battery back up which seemed odd to us since everyone else (home inspector, friends, other contractors) had mentioned the importance of this to us.

Surprisingly, after dealing with many local Heating and Air services that were less than stellar, this company was outstanding, truly professional, and they actually fixed the problem!

During a storm we noticed water dripping through our chimney and we started experiencing electrical trouble every time the a/c kicked in. On a neighbors recommendation we called Econotemp and asked for Bruce. He was able to come out that same morning. He was knowledgeable and professional. He climbed up on the roof to diagnose the source of the water. He checked and cleaned the whole system. While he was here we also had him check the gas connections and he changed out the old brass flexible dryer connection that was a fire hazard. He was very friendly, hard-working, and communicated clearly what we needed to do. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Ruedling arrived earlier than I had hoped, and called to inform me when he was on his way. He diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermostat and replaced it within a 1/2 hour. Now $170.00 for a new thermostat may sound expensive but I did require some level of expertise to diagnose the problem. The company charges $109.00 just to come out. I chose the convenient $62.00 thermostat he had and had him put it up. The only negative comment I have is that when I told the tech. I had chosen the company from Angie's List; he said he didn't think much of internet recommendation lists. I really tried to convince him that I had had good experiences using Angie's List. Considering the companies good standing he seemed overly concerned with one-sided bad reports.

Two different people performed the maintenance on the two instances, and both were excellent. Prompt, efficient, honest. The service person in July even cleaned up after a window installer who left some minor debris under one of the replaced windows that is near the air conditioner condenser. He also trimmed a plant that he thought was too close, at no additional charge. These people are great. I will use them as long as they continue their high standard of service.

They were real friendly and extremely accommodating. They even came one day before the scheduled date because we asked. Bill was fantastic to work with.

This company is run the way contractor-companies should be run. They care about their customers. They don't do anything that isn't necessary or needed. They bend over backwards to ensure things are done right and you are happy with the job and services they provide. They brought out a new unit the same afternoon after helping me troubleshoot the issues I had ongoing for 2 weeks. A 2 week old run capacitor and a power booster to kickstart the compressor failed and after attempting to kick the compressor into running again, the decision was made to replace the outside unit. They didn't try to sell me and entire replacement. (inside evaporator coil) Another guy brought out a new 3 ton unit that afternoon and the house was cool again by 5 o'clock. Bill, the service tech, Marilyn, and Steve the owners are the kind of people you want to do business with.

They were professional and on time. They were okay to have in the house. They were done ahead of schedule. They were good about cleaning up.

Econotemp came out for a second opinion to confirm that the system did need to be replaced. They found no evidence of a crack and saved me lots of money by not replacing it. I appreciate their honesty as they could have tried to sell me a new system instead. The approximate cost is for them doing a thorough cleaning.

I was happy that this happened in October. I turned the heat on in the morning to take the chill out of the house and found out that there was no heat - air was blowing through the system, but it certainly was not warm. I headed to Angie's List, took down some names of well-rated heating repair services, and made an appointment with Marilyn for Eric to come out to take a look at the situation and hopefully be able to repair my "older" furnace. Eric showed up at the appointed time, looked at the situation, handled the repair quickly and was on his way to his next appointment in not time at all. The house has been warm ever since.

Eric arrived on time on a Friday. He checked, cleaned, and adjusted the furnace. Based on that I would be happy to give a good report. On Sunday when we next needed heat, the furnace didn't work. I called about noon and Marilyn answered. She immediately dispatched Eric again. Eric arrived, and to his and Econtemp's credit, he came with the attitude that he had just serviced it and now it was not working, so it must have been something he did. I did not automatically think that myself. The noise it was making made me suspect that something new had broken, and the timing was just coincidental. That in fact is what it turned out to be. Because work was done two just days earlier, Econotemp opted to consider the emergency fix to be part of the original service call and did not charge extra for a special Sunday emergency call. I am happy with the work and with Econtemp's response and service.

Woman on phone was very pleasant and helpful. Scheduled check for next day. Eric was prompt and I rec'd a call before he was to arrive. He was thorough, cheerful and extremely courteous. I was very pleased.

I called on a Friday with my problem, and they said they could come out on the following Wednesday after 12:00 noon. Late Wednesday the service contractor showed up, did some checking of the furnace and air vents, and then told us that the furnace problem was caused by a pressure switch, but because it was 4:30PM, if we wanted him to go get the part, we would have to pay "time and a half". We did not want to do this, so we asked how much was the charge for today, and how much to come back and fix it. We were told $189.00 for the work done thus far (BUT NOITHING WAS FIXED), and then if we wanted them to come back, we needed to give them $390.00 right now. We thought this was way too high, so we phoned Marilyn. At first Marilyn told us just pay $189.00 and then they would come back with the part and it would be covered, but then the contractror insisted we pay $380.00. We wrote check for 1/2 hour fee $79.00 and asked him to leave. Another firm checked and fixed for $105.00 TOTAL.
