***Update***

Dave did contact me re my review -- and apologized for the issues that I raised. Granted they were little problems, but he understood that the crew needed to finish the job. I appreciated the follow-up call, and that shows his professionalism and commitment to have happy customers.
****************
It went ok. Dave was good and easy to work with, as he focused on assessing the situation we had in our old 1918 house. His estimate was solid, and I did not hesitate to book them to get the work done. However, subsequent communications were difficult, as Dave was supposed to get back to me with an estimate update, and possible scheduling dates -- but, disappeared for three weeks. Nonetheless, we were able to finally schedule a date to complete the work.

Overall the work was done well, and that I would have no problem recommending them to someone who needs basement waterproofing.

The woman who set up the appointment was very friendly and helpful.  The owner came to my home to give me an estimate.  He was punctual, polite, and walked me through the process.  I felt the estimate was fare.  The young man who showed up to perform the work was a little late, but he was polite and got right to work.  When he was finished he took me down to show me what he had done.  It was very easy to work with the company.  I would definitely recommend them.

The project went off without a hitch from start to finish.  David who did the estimate was punctual and thorough.  He patiently explained all aspects of the job.  David stopped by the work site shortly after the crew arrived to make sure the job was progressing as planned (which it was).  The office staff was friendly and helpful in setting up the appointment and answering questions.  The crew arrived exactly on time and were very professional and efficient with their work.  They took all of the necessary care to be neat on the work site.  The new concrete floor looks terrific.  I would definitely recommend Accu-Dry for a similar project.

The experience was exactly as I had expected. They understood my needs and followed my instructions. They did the job in two stages; the second stage was smoothing the edges from the first stage. They cleaned up very well.

I got three bids from contractors to finish my 140sq. ft. crawlspace. Dave came out and gave me his price which was lower than the other two. He was straight foreward on what I needed to do and had a good plan on how to do the job. The other contractors tried to sell me drain tiles that were not needed in this space and battery back up sump pumps and to wrap my crawlspace in plastic instead of concrete. They also wanted to take out windows to get the concrete in.  I received a follow up call from one of the other contractors whose price was a 1000 dollars higher and told them I was going with another company. He asked for the price to try and match but could not and then asked who I was using. I told him Accu-Dry and he said there are some bad companies out there but Accu-Dry was a good company. Accu-Dry has a good reputation in their field. I refered them to a co-worker to fix two cracks in his basement. He also used them after getting bids and they were the lowest again and was very satisfied with the work. I recently called Dave about a crack and some salt wear on the curb in my garage. They said that they don't do that kind of refinishing work but would come look at it and give me a few phone numbers of people who could help me. Dave took the time to come out and look at it and said the damage was minor and give me some pointers on how to fix it myself.

We were real happy with them.  Our experience was very good.  We were totally satisfied with them.  They were very professional, on time and they did a good job.  It looks nice and we have no complaints.  Their price was good because we had somebody else quoting us $7000.

David was very professional in the quotation process.  We had one area that was leaking in the basement.  He was able to properly diagnose that the leak was coming from our basement window and not the wall.   The other companies (big name guys) totally missed it!  David also did not try to sell me any fancy basement wall plastic coatings or expensive backup sump pumps like the competitor companies.   Accudry's pricing was also very competitive!

On the day the work was done, they showed up on time and cleaned up when done.

I would recommend them to others.

Overall, they did a nice job - I now have a very dry basement. It withstood one of the most recent major rainstorms without a drop of water. Further, the project was completed on time and the workers were nice. Only complaint was mess control. They offered to cover everything I left in the basement in plastic - to keep it clear of concrete dust. I found things half covered in plastic (the other half in dust). Further, they didn't enclose the basement entry in plastic so I ended up with concrete dust in a fair bit of the house as well. In their defense, I did get an apologetic phone call for the 1st floor dust, and they did a decent enough job sweeping up concrete dust. Still, its an area that I would have liked to be handled better.

They were professional, easy to talk to, and reasonable in price. They performed the work as agreed upon. The only area they could improve on is the scheduling- offering an appt time and sticking to it.

I got bids from 3 companies to concrete crawl space. Two companies spent most of their time cutting down each other and their prices were $1,000 - 2,000 higher than Accu-Dry. Accu-Dry preseneted a simpler approach that handled the basic problem. Crews arrived on time and completed most of job in one day - they had to come back a few days later to do insulation after concrete dried. Crawl space looks good and sump pump has handled recent rainfall without any problems.

This was a bigger job than they anticipated. Even though it was more work, they honored their quote. They tried to keep costs down. They did a good job. The owner would come by to make sure the work was being done properly. I have absolutely no complaints about their work. Everything is working properly. I would absolutely hire them again.

The trapdoor is in a closet; I made sure to remove all the items in the closet (except the top shelf), as well as our items stored in the crawl space. I gave them the garbage bags to remove the current plastic, and disposed of those myself. I made sure to have water ready for them; it was very sweaty work. When they left, I did need to wipe down the surfaces they had come in contact with, especially before the cement dried. Our trapdoor is just inside the front door hall closet, so I cleaned the closet walls, floor (tile) and entryway (tile). I forgot about the front door, so I have a few cement spots to sand and repaint. They did put down a tarp and try to be neat. They did attach a hose to the house and used a lot of water to clean up outside. We had to wait 3 to 4 days before we could put our stuff back in the crawl space. It echoes a little down there now (we need more insulation), and we lost 3 to 4 inches of headroom, but our allergic reactions improved immediately. The concrete is a little rough near the trapdoor, which they explained to me, so I bought some clearance bath rugs and that took care of that! We really love the space and convenience this has brought, as well as the added value to our home and lessening of allergens.

Accurate and quick estimate; professional and friendly crew; absolute quality of work; the project site was left clean. I can recommend Accu-Dry of Downers Grove to any homeowner who's crawlspace needs to be improved. What was done, repaired foundation cracks, drainage system installed with a sump pit; surfaced crawlspaces with concrete; installed radon mitigation pipes. Time taken, from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. A+ business.
