ACCURATE SAFETY SOLUTIONS - ACCURATE RADON

It was an excellent experience. Everything Rich said he would do, he did. The estimate was reasonable and accurate. We were able to schedule everything in a timely fashion. The work done was professionally and quickly. We had the estimate done on a Tuesday evening and the mitigation system installed the following Thursday. It took almost a full day which was the estimate. We've had it running for a month or two now and are completely satisfied.

They were very knowledgable, gave me lots of options, and was very good about breaking everything down and expaining in detail.

He did a very quality job on the installation and had great follow up. We were in the midst of a terrible snow storm and he shoveled our driveway and the neighbor's, just so he could get his truck in the driveway. He really went above and beyond!!

Very professional, estimate was thorough and was explained well. Work done on the day was punctual and neat. System is operating well.

Rich and the other guy were prompt, courteous, and very clear in their explanations. They worked very hard to make sure that things were done right.

Rich came out to estimate the job. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. He is great at explaining and answered all of my questions. He and his crew installed the whole system in a morning. He was happy to have my son and I watch some of it and ask questions. I wasn't sure which color box I wanted outside, so he brought both choices. They left their work space in our basement cleaner than when they arrived! When I was writing the check to pay him, he told me it was $50 less than the estimate since they didn't need to do one thing! When we're ready to have a backup sump pump installed, we will definitely call them! They guarantee our radon measurement to be under 2.0. We're waiting for our new test results now.

They were a bit pricey but did a great job on the work.

I decided to install only the update to my sump pumps. Rich and Eric arrived as scheduled. They installed the new pumps and moved one of my pumps to another sump pit. They completed all the plumbing and testing within four hours. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work that was performed. They removed all the old pumps and pipes and cleaned up the work area. I would recommend Accurate Radon and Rich to any one looking to install a new sump pump system. When I will install a radon system I will call Rich to do the install.

From the first phone call, to the "training" session after installation, I was very satisfied. The receptionist (Yvonne?) was pleasant and responsive, the scheduling was flexible. Rich then came by to survey the house and provide an estimate. He educated us thoroughly on all the options, and spent all the time we needed. He clearly is very experienced and knows exactly what he's doing. The price for the radon system itself ($1385) was comparable to other estimates. We ended up deciding to spend another $2k on a whole new high-end sump pump system, too, but there was no pressure from Rich to do so. We have actually not had the radon re-tested yet, as we have not moved in yet, but Rich has assured us that he will fix whatever would need to be fixed if the radon levels still showed up high for some reason. We felt very comfortable with Rich in our house, even when we were not home. Highly recommended.

Contacted them for a quote before addition was put onto house. I called again when the addition was enclosed. Both quotes were done on site very quickly. Did work on schedule and for quoted price. Rich was flexible in positioning the piping and electrical hookups. Work seems very well done. A complication came up after he thought he was done and he stayed to fix it. They had to work through the dirt of an active construction site but even so they left it cleaner than before. Explained how the system worked, how to maintain it and test it, and left documentation for that.

The guy explained in detail exactly what he would do and exactly what it would cost. They gave us some options to save money. They were punctual, polite, and courteous. The work was done in the time frame they talked about. They went out of their way in service. Their quality was excellent. After testing the radon again, their were negligible amounts. They did a good job. I would highly recommend them.

Did an estimate and suggested outside piping that would be acceptable to our condominium board for approval. Since then, they have not returned my calls. So, we are using another vendor for the radon mitigation who, after they checked with regulatory agencies, pleasantly provided a better overall solution. A professional operation should have the courtesy to inform a prospective customer that they do not want the business rather than ignoring them. I cannot recommend this firm although, they did no work for me.

I needed to have the radon level in my home reduced below the 4.0 standard which was discovered in the course of the home inspection done on my house as a result of the sale of my house. I researched Angie's list for companies and decided to contact Accurate Radon. I needed the work completed fast. I called at the end of one week and the work was completed by Friday of the next week. The price was a little less than I expected to pay, the quality of the work was excellent.

Rich, Frank and Terry did a great job. They showed up early (but called first to let us know they were early) and worked throughout the day to get the job done correctly. All 3 were very friendly and courteous. They kept the work area very clean and kept us apprised of all issues as they happened. Then they let us know how those issues were being resolved. Once the mitigation was complete, Rich walked us through our new mitigation system and explained how to use/read it. All in all, we were very impressed by their standard of workmanship and professionalism, even in spite of a very difficult neighbor. If we ever need radon mitigation at another home, we would definitely call them to do the job.

Rich Whistler is a wonderful individual who is passionate about helping families create safe and appealing environments in their homes. He is very informative, polite and professional. His crew is also very polite, punctual and courteous. The mitigation project was preformed in one day, with no mess. There is no detectable noise in the house from the fan. On the exterior of the house, the mitigation site looks like an original drain spout on the house. Perfect. We have retested the radon levels and they are now well below the EPA limit and the exposure level that naturally occurs outside. We are thrilled that a known toxin has been removed from our home and we take every opportunity to inform neighbors, family and friends of the risks of radon. Additionally, we pass along Accurate Radon's name. Thank you for such a great referral! We got everything we needed and more than we hoped for. Rich Whistler treated us like family. Thank you!!

Anyone can do radon abatement as a side job. This guy is professional, complete, amazing, clean work and very cosmetically conscious of your house. Looked at about five other companies and he was one that really over the phone appeared most professional and intelligent. I would not use anyone else - take my word.

Job was estimated and installed for the stated amount. Work was performed as stated, on schedule and very professionally. All necessary system information was communicated as were explanations of controls and necessary maintenance. The tests after the installation were very good. The before readings were above 4.0 pCi/L with a wide variance going as high as 10.0 pCi/L. After the system was installed two tests were performed with readings of 0.3 and 0.5 (the EPA recommends readings be below 4.0). The tests were analyzed by Alpha Energy Laboratories independent of the contractor. Needless to say, I am quite pleased with Accurate Radon and the results of the radon tests.

These guys were great. Rich, the owner, is highly knowledgeable about all things Radon and Sump-pump related. I learned a great deal from Rich. His apprentice was also very good. Rich was very detailed in describing the work he would perform and in reviewing the options we to choose from. They showed up on time, kept their work areas very clean and were not at all bothered by my hovering around watching and learning about what they were doing. I spent a good part of the day with them and thought they were highly professional and well worth the money paid. I would highly recommend Rich to anyone who needs a Radon system or any sump pump related items.
