I highly recommend Rivas Tree Service. I just cannot say enough good things about them! Al came out to review my needs on the same day I contacted them, and provided a quote on the spot. The price he quoted was substantially better than the other quotes I received. Finally, they did an amazing job trimming my trees and shrubs, and did a great job cleaning up. I will definitely use them again!

He came out once and gave me a verbal quote. I asked for it in writing and I never heard back from him. I called his cell phone and his office phone and left messages on both. I never heard from him again.

Service provider called me and we set up an appointment. He didn't show up at the appointed time and called about 2 hours after the appointed time to let me know he would be late. I did not appreciate that at all. Would not consider hiring when appointment times cannot be met.

Al and his crew showed up bright and early. Al patiently explained everything and was very polite and friendly. The crew worked very carefully yet quickly. The job went very well and the clean-up was fantastic. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

It went well. Once we finally connected, we got a date to do the work established. They had to postpone once due to weather but when they arrived, there were here on time. There were 4 people working in front and back yards. They worked quickly and cleaned up all branches, leaves, etc. They asked me first before trimming one branch that did not need it but it would have made the tree look awkward if not removed. Everything was explained both before and after and some general questions about possible future work were answered to my satisfaction.

It went very well, with the exception of the actual communication of when they were coming. We needed to plan when to take off work as they asked one of us to be here when they were as we had some specifics with the clean-up. Were two weeks later than committed and didn't respond when we ask what day they'd be here. Typical for this type of work / industry, I know. Outside of that, the work was phenomenal. They were professional, friendly and helpful throughout the process. The trees look amazing and they did the work efficiently and cleanly.

I have a tree that has some holes in it from a woodpecker. ants. or a bore not sure. it is a fairly big hole enclosed are some pictures of it .what would it cost to have someone come and look at it????? or maybe you can tell by the pictures don't no if it has to come down or if it can be saved. you can call me if I don't pick up leave a message will call back. 847-302-2082 Thanks

Unfortunately, about two dozen dead or dying trees on our property had to be removed. Most of them were ash trees infected with the emerald ash borer. Some of them were very large and very close to the house, making their removal especially challenging. We got a bunch of estimates and eventually decided to go with Al (Rivas Tree Service) because he seemed amazingly knowledgeable and attentive, and also gave us a very competitive quote. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! Al and his crew were absolutely great. I could observe what they were doing from my study window and I confess that I was so fascinated with their speedy, competent, [and scary] work that I didn’t manage to get much done that day. It was a wonderfully orchestrated unfolding of activities that resulted in the removal of almost all the trees in a long day of work. The crew came back the next morning to cut one remaining large ash tree and to do the final clean up. Thanks to their know-how and some amazing equipment they brought for the job, there was not the slightest damage to the property and the yard clean-up was meticulous. I should also note that they did some extra pruning work at no extra charge. Rivas has my strongest recommendation.
