Great. The first day several guys came and primed. Second day 5 men painted and actually fixed a window that was damaged on the bottom. They were recommeded by friends in Illinois who used Angies list, They were clean, and moved right along. We will use them again. We are very pleased and definately use them again.

Jose and his team were fantastic! He was very responsive, gave a great price, and did amazing work! The team cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly. They checked in throughout the project to make sure everything was going the way we wanted. I added a last minute project, and they had no problem completing the extra on time too! They were scheduled to take up to 2 weeks, but they added more people and managed to complete the job in 1. It looks really great! I would totally recommend Jose and his team for any painting.

My husband and I were VERY HAPPY with MQ Painting.  Jose was professional, friendly and easy to work with.  Although his quote came in higher than other bids, we chose to use him because I liked his personality and how he offered suggestions and different options.

His team arrived on time and worked hard.  They cleaned up at the end of each day and finished the entire job in 4 days.

Jose showed up on time for every work session over three days with an appropriately sized crew for the work to be done. Always returned calls and texts quickly. Did not rush the job. Excellent attention to detail. There were a few minor "ups" to the work performed with no additional cost. Waas kept informed at all times, so there were no surprises. Was told by other cony tractors that the deck needed replacement for several thousands of dollars. This repair and refurbishment gave us a restored deck for a fraction of the cost. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome.

Jose was great.  His crew worked hard and the house looks amazing.  They did a great job of fixing every little issue with the siding.  Months later I still have not found a joint that was not caulked or a spot that was missed.

They were very careful with all of my belongings, taking down all of my wife's knick-knacks, cleaning them, and replacing them. They even moved furniture back in place at the end of each day to minimize disruption. 
They took on additional minor repairs, like drywall patching, and tape replacement.

The quote was significantly lower than others I had received, and honestly, the results were much better than the last painting contractor I had hired for more money.

When undecided about the color, Jose provided recommendations and even suggested a contrasting trim color, which meant more work for his team, but a beautiful look for our house. Our house was originally built in the year 2000 and all cedar siding and trim was factory-stained with primer and Cabot solid stain before installation.  We were given a can of touch-up stain to use on on the pre-dipped nails provided if needed during installation.  Since I installed the siding on the lower front of the house myself, I did a very thorough job of staining over the nails.  It looked great for several years, but in time, all these spots started showing up as lighter-colored polka dots, not just on the front of the house where I had done the work, but all over where anyone had used it.  In addition, on one side of the house, we had had a woodpecker who pecked several holes near a window on the second floor.  Add to that a peeling railing on the front porch, due to snow melt, that we had tried to repaint over the years, and a deck which we had pressure washed ourselves a couple years before to remove all old, peeling stain, which I personally got a little carried away with and actually washed away some of the cedar itself and then spent most of my summer trying to correct the damage with bondo and restaining it myself with Cabot stain which is what we originally used on it.  In summary, the house had gone way too long without being redone (although the pre-stained Cabot cedar was supposed to last 15 years) and it had several distinct problem areas.  I wish I had taken "before" pictures of how bad it was.
We sought five estimates in a systematic effort to find the best company to do the job.  Jose was the first to respond, and four others also came out to give an estimate.  I took notes on what each company was willing to do and how they would do it.  Jose's estimate was the first one we received, followed by two others.  (Two did not give us estimates at all, one of them probably because we wanted someone insured.)  We waited a long time for the last two estimates which never came.  Jose's estimate was the lowest, less than half the cost of the highest.  We were not determined to hire on the basis of lowest cost though, but rather on the best one for the job.  
I had many concerns about what paint/stain to use (some areas had been previously painted, but most were previously stained), so I emailed a list of these very detailed questions to Jose.  He came over and sat down with us and addressed each question.  Talking to him helped us trust his judgment on his preferred stain/paint (he could tell whether some area was originally painted or stained), and we are glad now that we did.  I had been working on the deck myself all summer up to that point, bondo-ing and sanding and restaining with Cabot stain we had already bought, thinking we could at least do that part of the job ourselves, but the Cabot stain was already coming off in some of the spots where I had used the bondo.  Jose would have used the rest of our Cabot stain if we had insisted on it, but he preferred Sherwin Williams SuperDeck stain, and we're very glad he did when we added the deck restaining to the job, because so far the SuperDeck looks to be a very durable stain.  I continued to fix problem areas on the deck until they were here to do the job--I had to use up all the bondo I had already bought--but adding the restaining of the deck to the entire job meant that nightmare was over for me.  
We were not in a hurry to have the work done, and although I think Jose told us it would take a week to do, we thought for sure, with all the necessary prep work, it would certainly take at least two weeks after the pressure wash.  Furthermore, it was a very rainy summer, and I thought there might not be enough good days for painting before it got too cold.  So we waited patiently, and on September 18, after a phone call earlier in the week to warn us, the pressure washing was done.  I was a little concerned that the amount of bleach needed to kill the few spots of mold/mildew on the house might also kill our plants, but they did survive, as Jose predicted, and the crew returned on September 28 to start the prep work.  The entire house was primed that day.  The next day it rained, so they returned September 30 to continue, and by the next day, October 1, the entire house was finished!  Jose was around each day to explain what would be done, and amazingly, on the second day of work, he showed up in the morning, explained the day's work, and then told me his second daughter was born earlier that morning!  I think he did take the rest of the day off to be with his wife and new daughter, but I told him it would be nice if we had rain the next day so he'd have more time with them.
The crew worked very steadily and as long as needed for each day's work.  They were polite and diligent throughout the process.  Each day they  showed up on time and cleaned up at the end.  I was constantly amazed at how quickly and thoroughly they were getting things done.
It was after the job was finished that I realized the bench and swing on the front porch should also be restained, so I asked Jose for some leftover paint/stain and I was going to do that myself.  He said they'd do that for us at no extra charge.  Then later, when I noticed how bad our mailbox post looked, I asked him about doing that, and once the rain subsided, he was over with a crew member to get that done, also at no extra charge.  
We are beyond pleased with how our house looks now.  My only regret is that I didn't take a whole series of "before" pictures to be able to show the difference.  I do believe we got the best work for the best money, and we are already planning to hire MQ Painting to do our barn, maybe next summer.

thorough, clean, four-man team. very professional, went above and beyond (stopping to paint our wooden house numbers, as they were leaving, so that they matched the new exterior trim). Jose Quintanilla gave invaluable advice on what to paint, and which color(s) to use. It wouldn't have looked nearly this good if he hadn't helped with the choices. Very pleased with the work, very fair price.

Jose did a great job, was very friendly and we added on scope as the project progressed and he handled them and went above and beyond what was expected. Great company and very nice man. He also helped my wife choose a color for our front door and it definitely makes the house look so much better.

It went great! Jose is a pleasure to work with, I had had to change my dates twice with him and he was very flexible. Came on a Sun morning to do the power wash and a few days later did the sanding and painting in one day. The deck looks amazing . Workers were  punctual,  worked fast, and cleaned up well. Took them only 1/2 day.  I had originally thought the price was a little high based on other bids I had gotten, but I had gotten such great reviews about Jose from some friends that I decided to use him. I am SO glad I did. Worth every penny. ( I'll let you know if it holds up for the 2 years that he says it will!!) My friend's who recommended him said theirs has held nicely for 2 years.

Jose, matched the color great and his guys did a quick professional job.  It took ~4 hours and there was no sign they had been here aside from fresh stain. Jose pointed out a potential fubar in our design and worked with us to fix it before it was permanent. Finally, he came back and refunded us due to the check being written for more then he quoted.
His honesty and professionalism is no longer common but Jose had it in spades.
We will use him again for interior painting!

Jose was excellent to work with. He was quick to respond for a quote and furnished great ideas for correcting the dated "angled" boards in some areas of the house. He and his team replaced cracked cedar siding, walled in a door at our request, recaulked where necessary and painted the entire exterior and trim of our house. It was previously stained a very dark brown and is now a beautiful light green shade that we have received multiple compliments on already. He also repainted our deck. After the initial quote he did alert me that it might be a month before he could perform the job due to several other houses he had already contracted with but well worth the wait. After completing the exterior,we immediately asked him to paint our interior and continue to find more work we would love MQ Painting to do faster than he can complete it. I look so forward to seeing what other miracles he can perform on my house.

The almost daily rain this summer caused a slight delay with scheduling but not at all the fault of MQ Painting.  Jose communicated with me regularly to keep me up to date on where I was on the schedule.  Once we had a firm date, they showed up on time and completed the job in one day.  They came with a 4-man crew, and they did a great job working together to complete everything within probably a 7-hour period.  All crew members were helpful with any questions we had and respectful of my family members who needed to be in and out during the day. 
I had asked to have a few door trims painted and Jose was nice enough to throw that in free of charge.  Their clean-up was quick and they didn't leave anything in the yard or around the house.  Paint looks good and went on thick.  They even offered to paint some gray electrical conduit pipes to help them better blend in with the siding they were attached to.  Jose stuck around after the job to talk for a while and offered advice on siding, deck staining, fence staining and other related maintenance and upkeep items.  This is a good business with competitive pricing and worthy of a great review.  Will definitely call Jose and team in the future for other painting-related needs.

We purchased a multi-level home last October which had cedar siding that was in bad need of stain.  This spring, I researched a lot of painters on Angie's List and, called several for bids.  Out of those that bothered to show up, I received a wide range of prices and timelines.  right away when I spoke with Jose on the phone, I was impressed.  He was very polite, and although we were on some of the farther reaches of his territory, he agreed to come out and take a look. 

Jose arrived on time and we walked around the property and went over everything together.  He took the time to point out some trim boards which needed replaced, and although I did replace them myself, he offered to include the work in his bid.  Everything he pointed out was spot-on, and he did not try to upsell me with anything we didn't need.  (I do almost all of my own home repair and would know). 

I was eager to get the job done, and although I had others who could have started right away, I decided on MQ for several reasons.  1.  Professionalism.  I was very impressed with Jose and how professional and courteous he was.  When he says he will do something, he does it!  He explained every step of the process, and followed through 2. Price.  MQ was very reasonable with their bid  3.  Timeline.  Yes, even though others could get to the job quicker, I looked at the fact they were busy to be a GOOD thing.  I'm always suspicious of contractors that tell you they can start right away. 4. Angie's list.  MQ has very good reviews, and that shows they are willing to do what it takes to make sure the customer is satisfied.

Once I let Jose know we wanted his company to do the job, Jose stayed in contact with me along the way.  This is been an unusually wet spring, and his crew was battling a lot of things beyond their control.  When Jose knew he was going to be delayed because of the weather, he would drop me an e-mail to let me know, and I appreciate that.  I can't hold those type of delays against any contractor...you just can't paint in the rain.  Once we got some sun, Jose sent out a crew several days in advance to pressure wash the house, and they did a great job.  They took their time and removed a lot of old pigment, and they used a very mild bleach solution to kill any mildew.

I know Jose and his crew were working long hours to "catch up" from their weather delays, as he was able to get those jobs completed and to our house within a few days of his original timeline.  Again, he communicated all along the way, so I had absolutely no problem waiting.  That just shows me he is as dedicated to one customer as the next.  Once they showed up, they did an OUTSTANDING job.  They went over everything with a fine tooth comb, and caulked and sealed everything.  At one time I think there were 7 or 8 guys working on the house at a time, and again, they put in some long hours, and had the entire house done in less than 3 days...with 2 full coats (and in some places 3).  I can't say enough about the crew, they were very courteous, and worked their tails off.  They were extremely clean....making sure every surface was covered, and cleaning up any dirt and drips.  They even cleaned the windows and removed old stain from a brick sill that was from a previous paint job!  Now that is service!  In addition, they did several extras, including painting a wall in our sunroom, which was not in the original bid.  Jose even had to make an extra trip to get more stain, as our siding absorbed more than we had planned for, however his bid remained the same.  As we walked around the house last night, I couldn't find a thing to complain about.  They just did an excellent job.  In fact, we were so happy with the job, we tipped the crew enough for them to all have a good dinner on us!  They deserved it, and we are very very happy with the service.  When I wrote the check....the amount was exactly what Jose quoted me, to the penny.   There are always those jobs where you run into unseen issues, and every contractor has been in the position where they have to increase their estimate as a result.  In fact, I fully expected the cost would increase with the extra paint and the extra work we had them do....but I was pleasantly surprised when I wrote the check.  Just an A+ crew.  Next paint job, MQ will be our first, and only call!  Thanks Guys!

My very old cedar shake house had not been painted for over 15 yrs. MQ Painting power washed and did a lot of scraping , plus some replacement of rotted wood. In addition to painting the house, they also painted and replaced the old shutters with new ones I had purchased. Considering all of the interruptions due to rain, they finished in a reasonable amount of time. The great to work with. I will hire them again when I need interior painting done and would recommend them.

This company is fabulous, I cannot say enough good things about them.  I wish i could give them higher than an A, it would be A+++++++++.  Their price was fair, and when faced with the extra add-ons they did the work for an additional price which was fair as well and what I would have expected to pay, I was not held over a barrel mid-job.  THe entire crew was VERY PROFESSIONAL, nice, smiling, and the work they did was expert.  There is not one paint splash or drip anywhere, and they did it all faster than I would have thought.  I asked for more things after the quote like new vents, which they did happily and again did it for a fair price.  This company has a professional team and I will use them again when I paint the interior of my house without question.  I have to say I anticipated the whole job to be a nightmare as I've had some terrible experiences with contractors and I have to say this was the first time I had work done on my house that went stress free.  Jose Quintanilla was wonderful from quote to payment. THey left my house having cleaned up after the job like they were never there and my house looks wonderful.  THe job completed today and I wasted not a minute writing this review and now am going on Facebook to share with my neighbors and friends.  Yes, they were that good.
