Services were very timely since that house is under sale contract and needed to be ready. Allowed the sellers to offer a house that was in proper shape for new inhabitants. Scott was very patient and met twice with me and later the outgoing owners. He was on schedule and budget. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with this very difficult problem left from prior generations. A good company to start getting back on the right path with
t"I received a phone call from your member stating that a small amount of vermiculite had fallen into his basement. Based on his description, I informed him that it sounded like it would fall under our minimum charge of $500.00 to HEPA vacuum up the spill and dispose of the vermiculite which is assumed as asbestos containing. I dispatched an IDPH licensed asbestos supervisor who arrived at the members home. Upon his arrival, he observed that the vermiculite was larger than merely a small pile as described over the phone, but was spread about in various locations. He rightly told the owner that the initial scope of work was insufficient to properly clean the living space & returned to the office. I determined that in order to properly clean the space, it would require additional equipment and manpower in order to perform this work properly and thoroughly. This additional work would amount to an additional $400.00 to complete, making the total job $900.00 to complete. After I explained this to the owner, the owner became agitated, extremely sarcastic and repeatedly questioned by business ethics. During this conversation I decided that I did not want to perform any work for this individual and recommended that he find another contractor to perform the work for him. I never charged him anything & felt it was better for both of us to part company."
